Very excellent accommodation! Male/female solo travel friendly ❤️❤️ The owners are super kind. I spent a memorable night there chatting with other guests. The interior is super cozy with traditional japanese style where you can rest your mind after a busy life. This place also provides useful local food guide and travel map plus free bicycle rental. Love it! Definietly go back again one day :)))

Perfect for solo travelers wanting to explore Matsumoto and the surrounding cities. The hosts are very understanding and helped us a lot with our itinerary.

The staff were very kind and helpful, offering good advice. The room and shared washroom were also very clean and well-maintained, making my stay here very pleasant. It was also convenient that they offered shampoo sets for rent, which you could take to the nearby public bath.

The workers are soo friendly and they provide great suggestions on where to go in matsumoto.

The best!! Beds were super comfy and everything was very clean. The staff were so lovely and it felt very much like home! 100% would reccomend.

We really like this hostel, very clean and good location, host also very nice recommend us Matsumoto area. If i ever come again in Matsumoto sure will book this hotel, recommended hostel to stay!

Walking distance from the castle, cleanliness

The room environment is great, with a wonderful atmosphere. The front desk staff speak excellent English, which was very helpful. They provided many hand-drawn maps recommending nearby restaurants and various entertainment facilities. It's also very close to Matsumoto Castle.

Friendly staff, good location, can use their bicycle freely to explore Matsumoto. Only have 2 shower room (1 upstairs 1 downstairs) so need to wait for your turn during peak hours. The curtain can make larger to cover the entire entrance of the bed, if not I can see my neighbour entering and exiting their bed while I am sleeping.

Cute hostel with super welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. They had so many local recommendations and advice. Very nice and central location in Matsumoto. Japanese style rooms. Would recommend a stay!

One of the most memorable highlights in my trip. Amazing stay and the vibe of the hostel is fabulous. Close to the train and bus stations. Few mins walk to the castle. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Please visit the Couch Potatoes hostel if you are staying in Matsumoto! :)))

Loved all of it!

The location is great, next to Matsumoto Castle, a 5-minute walk, and you can go to see the night view of Matsumoto Castle at night. There are many restaurants and paid parking spaces nearby. There is a kitchen, kitchen utensils, pots, bowls, cups and a lounge for use. Shared bathroom facilities. The century-old building was renovated and the rooms are not soundproofed.

The staff were very kind and helpful! There were four bicycles available for us to use, which was a lot of fun! The accommodation has a shower, but there was a public bath nearby, so we went there by bicycle! There was a guitar and a hammock in the common area, so we could enjoy ourselves! It was a little inconvenient that the sink wasn't in the room but in the common area, and we were a little disappointed that we couldn't eat or drink in the room, and that there were no tissues or mirrors in the room. 😢 My friend and I were both very satisfied!
