Hotel berhampiran Jotokuji, Matsumoto

A super hotel, convenient for both Matsumoto train and bus stations, with the best breakfast in Japan! We stayed for two nights in a twin room, which was reasonably sized, with a small seating area. Everything was spotlessly clean, with a compact bathroom and decent over the bath shower. The hotel has excellent facilities, including two laundry rooms, so we were able to get our washing done for 300 yen a load. You can monitor the progress of your washing and drying from your bedroom TV, which also tells you how busy the breakfast room is! The breakfast was amazing! Such an incredible array of sweet and savoury dishes, including roasted pumpkin in sesame which was divine. Reception staff spoke good English and were very polite and helpful. A really nice hotel for visiting beautiful Matsumoto Castle and the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the City Museum of Art. We would definitely recommend it.

~7min walk from Matsumoto station with many food options nearby, on usual days. We went on 31 Dec to 1 Jan and the streets were empty; shops were 99% closed, except for Parco / big malls. Hotel staffs were super helpful and friendly. I loved the shoe locker concept at the main entrance of the hotel; you lock your shoes and go barefooted around the hotel. Hotel staff assisted to check on available restaurant opening hours, as well as reservation on 31 Dec since we weren't sure if places were open. Onsen (both indoor and outdoor) was the best, coupled with complimentary laundry facility (dryer at 100yen). Shampoo and body wash were all available for use. There are vending machines at the common area outside the bathroom. Complimentary ramen at night (do check with the hotel on the timing). Soba over new year's countdown at midnight was yummy. Wonderful overall experience. Will explore Onyado in other cities in future!

This is one of the smaller properties in the Dormy Inn chain. That being said it still has the spa and leashing machines, varied breakfast buffet, late night ramen noodles and good service. There was a loud whistle coming from bad seals in the windows in our rooms and they upgraded us to twins immediately. It was the off season but we felt very well looked after. The location is a short walk from the station and well located.

北松本駅から歩いてホテルに行きました。７分？歩いて到着です。フロントの女性は笑顔もあり不快な印象はありませんでした。部屋は、最上階の松本城が見えるお部屋でした。特に夜の松本城は最高にきれいでした。部屋の広さは、少し狭いですが料金から考えると妥当だと思います。大浴場は、小浴場と言った感じです。５人も入れば満員です。しかもコロナ対策が全くしていませんでした。朝食の食事処ですが、バイキング形式でトングなどを使用するのですが、コロナ対策が中途半端でダメ出しです。きちんと入り口にデカデカと手指消毒・使い捨て手袋の使用・マスク着用と明記してありません。使い捨て手袋などは何組かは使用していませんでした。従業員も知らん顔。おまけにマスクもしていない夫婦もいてびっくり。こんな時期なので衛生面には気を使った方がいいと思います。夕食は、松本駅周辺まで歩きましたが意外と近かったです。

　東横INN松本駅前本町は、ＪＲ松本駅から東へおよそ300ｍの、松本市の中心市街地にあります。 　この東横INNの一番の魅力は、その立地の良さです。私たちは、松本城を見た後、早めにチェックインして、同時に車をホテルの駐車場へ入れました。東横イン会員なので、３時にはチェックインすることができるんです。 　その後、市内観光に出かけましたが、中町通りや繩手通りまでも徒歩数分ですし、すぐ近くにはたくさん飲食店もあるので、夕食のお食事処も選び放題でした。 　東横INNですから豪華なホテルではありません。でも、館内も客室内も、明るく清潔ですし、スタッフの接客もよく教育されていて、居心地がよかったです。

This was a stopover hotel for our tour of Japan. It's well-located, walking distance to the railway station. The hotel carpark is small and we ended up in a garage about a 7-minute walk away. (10-minute if you have luggage.) We ended up in the executive floor. The rooms were all right in size. The major plus is the 14th floor executive lounge. We were there on New Year Day but ALL the restaurants that looked decent said they would only allow us in with reservations. We had not expected that. Fortunately, we had a good fill at the lounge, went to MacDonald's (across the road from the Railway Station) for a burger and then returned to the Lounge to top up with drinks. Although it was near the closing time for the lounge, still the staff topped up the food. Breakfast was pretty good. But the dining area is somewhat small. So we had to wait 10 minutes. They do have a picnic arrangement, which was pretty charming. Staff were friendly, things worked. Yes, I would recommend this.

Wonderful rooms and staff. The dining room and food is silver service. We felt under dressed as we had been hiking or two days and only had our back packs not our full luggage but that made no difference to the staffs attitude towards us. Very well placed and easily within walking distance to Matsumoto Castle and other attractions. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone but especially to travellers of European/American or Australian nationalities.

This was one of the more ‘traditional’ hotels in which we stayed. It was on the older side. Our room was in what was described as the annexe. It was a Nice room of decent size. As is typical in Japan everything was provided plus the extra bonus of chargers and a blue tooth speaker if wanted. It was the only hotel during our stay to provide a Nespresso machine. . Very traditional pyjamas i Liked the room as there was a lobby area in which we could accommodate and easily access suitcases without falling over them. There was a Decent size bathroom with a small bath and shower. The whole room was very clean except for some mould on bathroom tiles. The Shower is good if your height is up to about 6’ 2”. Shower head holes needed bit of lime scale cleaning to flow better. Please note- the shower is in deep raised bath. This was Harder for a short person to get in and out. I Thought I would slip so installation of a grab handle or step would be very helpful. The Beds were very comfortable and the single beds are 4’ which is a good size. The Room did get cold but good heating provided. Plenty of plugs. Room was Very quiet. Breakfast mainly traditional Japanese but some limited western food available. Very good Japanese breakfast. Public baths are on site . There is free Shuttle departing at fixed times to the station which you pre book. Suggest you book the night before. There is a small Cafe attached to the hotel with a small shop. Good atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Location within walking distance of anything you want to see in Matsumoto and the station.

We wanted to treat ourselves for an anniversary so booked in for a night. It is not cheap - we paid SGD 770 for the night, but it was a good experience all the way from check in to check out. The price includes dinner, which was plated beautifully and featured items like lobster sashimi, beef stew and bracken tempura. Breakfast was done buffet style and had both Japanese and Weatern dishes. There are onsens as well. We opted to pay 3000 yen for a private couple onsen for 45 minutes, but there are also public baths on the 4th floor. The bath on the 3rd floor, just off reception, switches between males in the morning and the ladies in the evening. The room was largish and I loved that the yukatas came in a variety of sizes. There is no room clean up till check out, but they do lay futon beds in the room. The room was well appointed and had a great view, small fridge, a safe, and coffee and tea making facilities. There was even a coffee bean grinder. There were ample power points. Wifi was okay though it did drop now and then. There are separate toilet and shower rooms. There is a souvenir cum general store in the lobby where you can even buy condensed milk ice cream. Staff are friendly and efficient. They do have a free shuttle bus from 5 pm at the Matsumoto train station to the hotel, and one the following morning at 9 am and 10 am back to the station.

母と2人で10日間宿泊しました。 ホテルは綺麗で、お部屋も清潔で、ベッドも快適でした。 窓から見える山々も美しく、母も喜んでいました。 朝食も悪くはないのですが、 開始時間前から並び、 早く食事を済ませたい方々がほとんどで、時間をずらして遅めに行くと なくなってしまうメニューもありました。 お部屋に持ってきて食べて構わないシステムは大変有難いのですが、持って行ける品数が少なく、お味噌汁とかドリンクは持って部屋に行くのは大変です。 トレーに乗せてご飯やお味噌汁も持っていけると嬉しいです。
