Hotel berhampiran Kamiyakata Shimayu, Matsumoto

This is one of the smaller properties in the Dormy Inn chain. That being said it still has the spa and leashing machines, varied breakfast buffet, late night ramen noodles and good service. There was a loud whistle coming from bad seals in the windows in our rooms and they upgraded us to twins immediately. It was the off season but we felt very well looked after. The location is a short walk from the station and well located.

This was one of the more ‘traditional’ hotels in which we stayed. It was on the older side. Our room was in what was described as the annexe. It was a Nice room of decent size. As is typical in Japan everything was provided plus the extra bonus of chargers and a blue tooth speaker if wanted. It was the only hotel during our stay to provide a Nespresso machine. . Very traditional pyjamas i Liked the room as there was a lobby area in which we could accommodate and easily access suitcases without falling over them. There was a Decent size bathroom with a small bath and shower. The whole room was very clean except for some mould on bathroom tiles. The Shower is good if your height is up to about 6’ 2”. Shower head holes needed bit of lime scale cleaning to flow better. Please note- the shower is in deep raised bath. This was Harder for a short person to get in and out. I Thought I would slip so installation of a grab handle or step would be very helpful. The Beds were very comfortable and the single beds are 4’ which is a good size. The Room did get cold but good heating provided. Plenty of plugs. Room was Very quiet. Breakfast mainly traditional Japanese but some limited western food available. Very good Japanese breakfast. Public baths are on site . There is free Shuttle departing at fixed times to the station which you pre book. Suggest you book the night before. There is a small Cafe attached to the hotel with a small shop. Good atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Location within walking distance of anything you want to see in Matsumoto and the station.

Hotel situado a cinco minutos de la estación de tren, cosa que facilita, como en todo Japón, el acceso a restaurantes, autobuses y otros servicios de necesidad. Exento de adornos se distingue por su carácter práctico, adecuado para una estancia no muy prolongada en la ciudad. Habitación limpia y aseptica, camas de 1,30 cm. Ofrece desayuno no muy atractivo para el huesped occidental. Estrictos hasta el rigor en cumplir la hora de entrada a la habitación.

Das Hotel liegt direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof und neben dem Busbahnhof. Die Burg liegt in erweiterter Laufentfernung. Das Einzelzimmer ist sehr klein. Eine Ablagemöglichkeit für einen Koffer besteht nicht. Man muss ausräumen was man braucht und ihn dann wieder verschließen und zur Seite räumen. Für einen stop-over gerade noch ok. Alles war sauber und funktionierte. Das Wifi war gut. In den Zimmern zum Bahnhof hin hört man den Zugverkehr.

A super hotel, convenient for both Matsumoto train and bus stations, with the best breakfast in Japan! We stayed for two nights in a twin room, which was reasonably sized, with a small seating area. Everything was spotlessly clean, with a compact bathroom and decent over the bath shower. The hotel has excellent facilities, including two laundry rooms, so we were able to get our washing done for 300 yen a load. You can monitor the progress of your washing and drying from your bedroom TV, which also tells you how busy the breakfast room is! The breakfast was amazing! Such an incredible array of sweet and savoury dishes, including roasted pumpkin in sesame which was divine. Reception staff spoke good English and were very polite and helpful. A really nice hotel for visiting beautiful Matsumoto Castle and the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the City Museum of Art. We would definitely recommend it.

~7min walk from Matsumoto station with many food options nearby, on usual days. We went on 31 Dec to 1 Jan and the streets were empty; shops were 99% closed, except for Parco / big malls. Hotel staffs were super helpful and friendly. I loved the shoe locker concept at the main entrance of the hotel; you lock your shoes and go barefooted around the hotel. Hotel staff assisted to check on available restaurant opening hours, as well as reservation on 31 Dec since we weren't sure if places were open. Onsen (both indoor and outdoor) was the best, coupled with complimentary laundry facility (dryer at 100yen). Shampoo and body wash were all available for use. There are vending machines at the common area outside the bathroom. Complimentary ramen at night (do check with the hotel on the timing). Soba over new year's countdown at midnight was yummy. Wonderful overall experience. Will explore Onyado in other cities in future!

This was a stopover hotel for our tour of Japan. It's well-located, walking distance to the railway station. The hotel carpark is small and we ended up in a garage about a 7-minute walk away. (10-minute if you have luggage.) We ended up in the executive floor. The rooms were all right in size. The major plus is the 14th floor executive lounge. We were there on New Year Day but ALL the restaurants that looked decent said they would only allow us in with reservations. We had not expected that. Fortunately, we had a good fill at the lounge, went to MacDonald's (across the road from the Railway Station) for a burger and then returned to the Lounge to top up with drinks. Although it was near the closing time for the lounge, still the staff topped up the food. Breakfast was pretty good. But the dining area is somewhat small. So we had to wait 10 minutes. They do have a picnic arrangement, which was pretty charming. Staff were friendly, things worked. Yes, I would recommend this.

ツーリングの宿泊で利用しました バイクはエントランス前にあるスペースに駐車 スタッフの方は親切でとても心地の良い接客をされています！ 5階の一室に宿泊しましたが部屋から浅間温泉街や松本市内がよく見え夜景も結構綺麗でした☺️ 大浴場は時間帯で入れ替わるのですが 7階の展望デッキに設置されているサウナがめちゃくちゃ最高でした！

２年ぶりに宿泊しました。部屋も清潔に保たれており好感が持てます。チェックインの時のフロントの男性が少し不愛想なのが少し気になりましたが、それ以外は問題ありませんでした。コロナ禍、大浴場の入場を制限しているのか、ロッカーが３個しか利用できるようになっていませんでしたが、私が行った時間には誰もおらず、貸切状態でした。お湯も少し熱めで、寒波のなか体を温めることができました。客室のエアコンの効きが若干悪く、温まるまで時間がかかりました。 朝食は、８時過ぎに行きましたがそこそこおかずもありました。無料朝食ということと宿泊料の安さからは相応なのかと思いました。 ちなみに、建物の上部にある看板灯が切れているので、初めて利用される方は注意が必要です。
