Holiday Inn Express & Suites CHICAGO - MATTESON

I checked into this hotel on the 21st of June 2021. I booked through another travel website and after being checked in they call me back down to the desk saying the payment didn’t go through and I was charged twice by the hotel. I noticed this on my credit card statement and when I called the hotel they said they couldn’t find my reservation. After calling the travel website I booked through I was told to call the hotel again where I found out the name on the reservation was nowhere close to my actual name even though I have them my ID at the initial check in and my card when they said the payment didn’t show. And I even asked them will I be charged twice and they told me no. Every time I called the manager wasn’t in even during the times they told me to call. It is now 9 months later and after calling the travel company again to check the status of my claim, they tell me the hotel has not answered any of their calls to rectify the issue. However, the new person handling my case has been tremendously helpful in a 7 minute phone than anybody has been in the past 9 months. I used to like this place but I don’t play about my money. They have incompetent staff working in this hellhole and all the amenities they say they have is a lie.

It need a lots of cleaning inside there was no breakfast but it did have lots of heat and the front desk help was very helpful polite but the hotel itself need to be remodel the carpet was dirt the hotel need to be clean

If you are looking for a place to get ready and sleep it will work for you. They need to update the pics on the site. The pool area is a storage age. No pool is working. The place needs major updates.

The ice machines didn't work, the vending machines didn't work, and the hallways were dank and musty. Also, someone else's hair was in my bathtub and this was after housekeeping had allegedly just cleaned my room before my arrival.

My King room, that i reserved a month in at advance, was GIVEN away. The only concern was sorry here is all we got and all we got was a room where the door did not lock, which was not a king room.

The tv in the sleeping part of the suite didn’t work. Called the desk said she would find maintenance and they never showed. No pool. No breakfast when I checked out. Overall appearance of room was dismal and there was a dirty towel and dirty shorts in one of the drawers. No wash clothes no blanket either.

Unsanitary, unfit for habitation, smoke smell in the hallways, thermostat did not work, none of the amenities advertised were in operation

The room was not clean, no blankets, pool area was used for storage for old air conditioners and other maintenance things. Carpet was sooo filthy and mold in the shower. I do not recommend

Room was disgusting food particles everywhere sheets had stains elevator broke! Pool had no water the smell of the room was unbearable.
