I stayed at this hotel as part of being a volunteer for Earthwatch Amazon riverboat program. This is such a delightful, cute and charming hotel located strategically in the center of town within a short few minutes walk to restaurants and shops and the main square Plaza Armas de Iquitos. The room was grand and clean, very spacious with high ceiling and excellent layout. The huge bed and pillows were comfortable. I was also impressed with the massive bathroom. The staff was all very friendly. Michael was exceptionally helpful. Ask him for a tour of the cultural and historical museums. I would highly recommend staying here at Casa Morey for an authentic stay at a historical building at a very affordable price.

I'm going to start with the positive things. I was able to rest peacefully. The room was tidy and clean. Breakfast wasn't full of options but it was delicious. The A/C was quiet and working as expected. Now, what I didn't like. First, breakfast was never on time. It was supposed to be ready by 6:30am and it took the staff another 15 minutes to get everything ready. It was a problem for me because I had to go back to my room (on the 4th floor), brush my teeth and be outside by 7am looking for a ”moto-taxi”. That was another problem: Public transportation. I requested a taxi to the front desk clerk and it just never came. Moto-taxis are always available but your clothes will absorb all the smell from the fumes of cars and other motorbikes. Also, when taking a moto-taxi make sure you wear glasses. Finally, the internet service. It was decent if I was standing outside my room. Inside my room it would constantly come and go. I had that problem with my smartphone. I have to say that with my laptop the conection was more stable. Last but not least, the shuttle to the airport was not on time which was an enormous disapppointment. I would probably end up taking another moto-taxi. As a conclusion, I would try to make to the Double Tree Hilton but this one is not a bad option; it would be great if they could do something about the issues that I mentioned above.

PPengguna TetamuEl hotel está situado en un lugar estratégico cerca a la plaza de armas y demás lugares de conección a diferentes zonas de la ciudad. El edificio no es nuevo pero cumple su función para lo necesario ”dormir” limpio,aire acondicionado (rumoroso),personal muy atento. La señora de limpieza muy encantadora y dulce. Las srtas del restaurante muy atentas a la hora del desayuno. El desayuno suficiente diría yo. (Básico, fresco y muy rico ) La recepción los 2 jóvenes muy atentos .

Such a amazing hotel, incredibly lovely and helpful stuff, they help carry all luggage to the rooms and we're so friendly and always avaliable. The owner is a incredibly lovely lady who made sure we had e everything we needed and more. Always a pleasure arriving at la casona.

PPengguna TetamuVisitando la ciudad de Iquitos con mis amigos, como todos sabemos ,escojemos un lugar para llegar y descansar plácidamente ese servicio nos brindo este reconocido hotel ,que por Nombre lleva alojamiento el cardenal ,al preguntar el nombre del por qué le pusieron el cardenal la señorita nos explicó muy cordial y amablemente y muy atenta a nuestras preguntas, que el cardenal es un ave..... Al ingresar a sus habitaciones muy bonito y limpio y se siente una comodidad como en casa, la atención es de primera con la amabilidad y el carisma y sobretodo el respeto que te tratan ( gracias alojamiento el cardenal) pronto estaremos con más amigos para disfrutar de sus habitaciones y elegancia que les caracteriza... Lo recomiendo!!!!!

PPengguna TetamuHotel perfectamente situado. Para mi tiene un problema hay mucho ruido. Tuve que pedir que me cambiaran de habitación, pero aun así en un piso mas alto seguía habiendo ruidos. Lo mejor del hotel todo su personal tanto de recepción como limpieza habitaciones, restaurante etc. Muy profesionales y extremadamente amables

BBlakeIt was a great place and convenient location. It's a touch away from the boulevard so you aren't peppered by scammers as soon as you exit the hotel.
While the workers don't speak English a translator worked fine and get everything I need. I didn't see breakfast though and I didn't ask.
