We recently visited this place as a group of six for a skiing trip, and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The food and service were exceptional, especially thanks to our waitress Lucy, who made our dining experience even better. The value for money is outstanding. We all plan to come back in the future, whether with our partners or for another ski adventure. If you're looking for a peaceful touch of luxury, away from the busy crowds, this is definitely the place to be.

One of the best hotels we stayed so far. Everything is very nice: the hotel is very nice with a great design, the rooms are spacious, very nicely furbished, cleanliness is impeccable. The wellness area has everything you want at top quality. And the restaurant is amazing: great food, quality ingredients and nice and attentive staff. We enjoyed every minute of it - especially the Rocky 7 Menu that turned out to be one of the best dinners that we experienced

My stay at this hotel was a huge disappointment. The design of the hotel is stunning, but the people working there are arrogant and unprofessional. The receptionist, Ms. Sijba, had blonde hair and was extremely rude and unpleasant. Even though I had already paid for my stay, she tried to make me pay again. When I showed her the invoice, she completely ignored it. When I asked her to call her supervisor, she told me that she wasn’t afraid of her boss, but no one ever came. She kept repeating that I should sit down and refused to process my check-out. Her arrogant behavior completely ruined our stay, and because of her, I will never return to this hotel. Another shocking issue was the poor level of cleanliness. For three days, we sat at the same table for meals, and no one cleaned it the entire time. Crumbs remained from morning until the next day, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. In the end, her colleague tried to resolve the situation. She processed our check-out, which we had to wait 20 minutes for, and apologized. Unfortunately, this did not change the overall negative impression of our stay. A luxury hotel that treats its guests this way? This is unforgivable.

The place is very nice, and luxurious. All the facilities are perfect, the food are great, breakfast fabulous. But. The staff didn’t make us feel welcome at one point. The owner was very polite and welcoming. But the rest was short for the head, seemed tired and didn’t gave us the feeling that we were welcome. Often they didn’t says anything to us. Hallo, good morning, goodnight, and so on. That was a shame. The bar manager he was the worst’s. We will be back if the staff are better trained ore replacet.

Exceptional experience as always. It was our 3rd time here and again the whole stay was delightful and without a single issue. The room, food, and staff's hospitality were all extraordinary. We especially enjoyed the sauna sessions with Markus. We're looking forward to coming again the next season.

We had the most wonderful time in this gorgeous hotel. Amazing food, friendly staff, incredibly relaxing spa and pool and beautiful mountain views. I can't think of single thing I would change, just absolutely loved it, thank you so much!!

What a glorious place, it met all our expectations and we had the most relaxing break. We will definitely want to return, the Austrian scenery is second to none and it’s a beautiful country we have visited many times and will continue to do so! Thank for for a wonderful stay!

We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed it to the fullest; -abundant breakfast-buffet -splendid wellness possibilities -exquisite diner at night The hotel has been superbly renovated, quite impressive Staff super-friendly, always willing to help.

My husband and I had a great time at Zillergrund for our babymoon. Coming from the US, we definitely felt like a minority amongst other European, and predominantly German-speaking, visitors. But about 80% of the staff spoke English, especially where it mattered most, like with our server. One of the cool things about Zillergrund is that they give you an assigned table for all your meals during the stay. The breakfast buffet is great, and the multi course dinner was never lacking! It was fun to try new and different things. They offer a good amount of variety, including some local and international dishes. Our table was in an incredibly charming nook of the restaurant which was great, since much of the hotel is modern. I enjoyed having a bit of Austrian mountain charm. Our server, Antonio, was great. We did a 6-mile winter hike which was rigorous, but managed even while being 26 weeks pregnant. We also enjoyed yin yoga. The spa is also truly enjoyable and a great place to just unwind, relax, and take in the Mountain Views. And the rooms! So spacious. Nicely appointed. Larger than I ever would have expected for European standards — or any standards! We were in the Zirbe premium suite. Equal parts charming and nicely updated. Last but not least, the pool. We loved the heated outdoor pool for winter. This was a must for me, as I couldn’t do hot tubs or saunas while pregnant. We enjoyed a floating board which included fruit and desserts, Prosecco for my husband and a smoothie for me. Very special! You can tell Zillergrund is a diamond in the rough. It maintains its family-run attention to detail while choosing to modernize more than other hotels in the area. It really is in a league of its own. Overall, would highly recommend. We look forward to coming back with friends or family for a future stay.

I came here with my boyfriend for my very special birthday holiday. I can not fault this place! I would rate it ten stars if I could. From our upgraded room, the Alpin Rock Suite with gorgeous views and an amazing balcony to the different sized 'his & hers' slippers and robes. The facilities are amazing, the hotel thinks of everything and the views are unreal. I have travelled a lot over the years and this hotel is truly the best I have ever experienced. Other reviews complaining about British people being treated badly, we experienced none of this. We were the only non-Austrians in the entire hotel but felt welcomed by the friendly attentive staff and the gorgeous receptionists who catered to our every need. Although we came out of season, everything was to our taste, all pools were heated and food was amazing! They even printed all menus for us in English. The five course meal at dinner time is top notch and with experience working in fine dining restaurants, it is of a very high standard. Breakfast buffets were extensive and delicious - with even morning prosecco included! I can not wait to return and have told all of my friend to visit too.

The best hotel we have stayed in!! Everything was thought out to the smallest detail. Gorgeous location of the hotel among the mountains, it was cool to hear the sound of the river. Gorgeous interior of the hotel. Excellent service. We were greeted with champagne upon arrival and gifted upon departure. Great pillows, duvet, mattress. Cool slippers for the spa, for a smaller girl, for a bigger man (very comfortable), soft pleasant bathrobes. Comfortable armchairs on the balconies. Good selection of everything for breakfast, lunch, dinner. A huge selection of cheeses, fruits, berries, various freshly squeezed juices. Loved the organic shampoo and soap in the rooms. We are vegetarians and they prepared separate dishes for us that are not on the menu. The dishes themselves looked great. Great spa and outdoor pool. Loved the cold water spout. All at the highest level. Lots of cozy seating areas. We really want to come back to this hotel again. We highly recommend it!

Wow, this hotel is a dream come true. Everything is perfect here, from the location to the spa facilities, views, the amazing river flowing by. The sauna has the best view I have ever seen in my life, there is a gym and also afternoon snack from 2-4.30 which is included in the price. The best thing for me was the heated pool outside that has the most amazing views I have ever seen. Unreal! One day we did a hike up the mountain which was great and the second day a bike ride to a fabulous lake. They had ebikes which was amaaaazing!

This hotel is exceptional. It's aesthetically beautiful yet still retains elements of traditional Austrian charm. The food was outstanding, every single meal was delicious and crafted with fresh local food. I will be dreaming about the cheese board for a long time. The rooms were perfect. Simple design with the comfiest beds. Beautifully family run hotel. Perfect for skiing in Mayrhofen. I would highly recommend this hotel, it was heavenly. I will be back! Ps. They have the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted.

A wonderful hotel to stay in during a ski vacation. A very high grade hotel in every aspect, way above even the best "ski hotels" in a typical ski town like Mayrhofen. High class rooms, very well designed and maintained. The Spa is exceptional, and the pools are amazing (the open rooftop pools as well as the indoors pool).
