Hotel berhampiran Mosque of Governor of North Sumatra, Medan

I stayed here 4-nights for a conference that’s also happening in this hotel. So many things have gone wrong and enough reasons for me not coming back. 1. The reception (or should I said “deception”?), misguided me. They said my room is upgraded to Premiere room, with complimentary afternoon tea, and minibar. More about this below. 2. Went to the room but nothing special, also the weird furniture placement makes the room smaller. Room has view but mostly just building roofs. Appreciate the giant shower head though. 3. Went for afternoon tea with my business colleague and the waitress said I’m not eligible for the complimentary. She said the receptionist made a mistake. Fine. 4. Got a call from reception, she said that Ieft my ID card at the reception. Which can be avoided if she did not forget to pass the ID card back after she copied it in. Went back to reception to get my ID card, and ask the reception about the afternoon tea to confirm whether I’m eligible or not. She said not and the minibar also not free unfortunately. Thank God I haven’t eat anything from the minibar 5. Breakfast at level 3 is unorganized, chaotic, and basically madness without crowd control. However I managed to get to the level 10 which is more quiet. Food quality is average. 6. I realized an item missing from the minibar, I did not consume them at all. I called in the operator and they were like “are you sure you’re staying alone, Sir?” I’m like… unbelieveable, why don’t you check with the housekeeping if they removed it or else? I just don’t want it to be billed on my room charge. I know it’s just a potato chip that I could easily replace from minimart, but imagine if they took other items and then billed it to your room. 7. The only nice experience I had in this hotel is the dinner, food surprisingly decent. Also the service is nice (maybe because we were the only customers?). Oh and concierge staffs also very helpful keeping my deliveries and helping me with my stuff when I checked out without me asking.

We were in Medan just for a couple of nights and the Kama hotel suited our budget. Since Medan is a city full of hotels and there's always something to suit everyone's budget, I feel some of the poor reviews on Kama Hotel was unjustified. The room was clean... felt secure... beds were comfortable... bathroom clean and modern. The buffet breakfast was included in the price and it was nothing flash but pretty good for a budget hotel. Will definitely book again if we visit Medan again!

The restaurant in Aryaduta called The Kitchen, I have tried their Watermelon Yogurt, and it was delicious. I couldn't finish and ask them pack for me, they even take the initiative to send it to my room. Very good service.

Excellent personal service by all the staff. We had problems with our initial room in that it had no windows (which wasn't mentioned in the description) and the shower flooded the whole bathroom, which made everywhere feel damp. However, the staff found us another room for an upgrade and that was much better. The location was good, allowing us to walk to the old town and also some of the newer shopping centres. Overall, good value for money.

Basic room but clean ( not comfy though). Strategic location within walking distance to Plaza Medan Fair and Damri bus station to/fro Kuala Namu Airport. Kakiku massage just steps away. Breakfast is simple but adequate.

That was my first time to visit Medan. Luckly, I chose the right hotel. It is located at the heart of Medan with good city view. I can explore nearby easily. Also, it is near with Medan train station. The room was clean. The staff is very helpful and try to serve well. The price is also reasonable.

jarak berjalan kaki ke pusat membeli-belah pusat dan stesen kereta api bawah tanah. mendapat mixue cafe dan mart di hadapan hotel. katilnya sangat selesa dan lembut. proses daftar masuk agak cepat. hargai itu. air panas dan mandi juga bagus. mereka mendapat spa untuk urutan dengan harga yang murah ditambah baucar diskaun 100 ribu IDR untuk spa. tetapi saya harap, kakitangan spa akan memberi sedikit masa peribadi untuk pelanggan semasa menukar pakaian dan masa mandi selepas urut dan bukannya membersihkan dan mengatur bilik, berjalan masuk dan keluar semasa pelanggan menukar. ia agak tidak menghormati saya bahawa saya tidak mahu mengulangi perkhidmatan itu. juga keseluruhan sesi saya hendaklah 90 minit (urut tradisional ) & lilin telinga (45 minit). start pukul 12.20 pm tapi habis pukul 2 pm. jadi pastinya tidak disyorkan jika anda ingin membayar untuk jumlah masa yang betul yang anda dapat. hotel ini mempunyai perkhidmatan penyimpanan untuk bagasi sekiranya anda ingin keluar / ke pusat membeli-belah selepas waktu daftar keluar sebelum kembali ke lapangan terbang. Saya akan mengulangi penginapan tetapi bukan perkhidmatan spa.

langganan banget sama hotel ini, sudah kesekian kali nya menginap disini, sesuka itu sama fasilitas nya masih baru semua🤗 tempat nya nyaman ,bersih, strategis, staffnya ramah dan sampai kenal dgn saya karena uda sering nginap disini🤩 harga kamar ramah dikantong, dapat breakfast lagi🤗

The room's cleanliness is just so so. The minibar is not cold enough (we would like to put food but then found that the surface was watery). The bed sheet might not be so clean because my legs got so itchy after sleeping for one night. Many spots are a bit dusty and for its price the stay was not so worth it compared to the standard 3 stars. Breakfast was just okay, at least it's edible (not much option anyway). The receptionist is well... very flat. Not rude but, expressionless. I know its only 3 stars but they could at least smile. Bathroom's cleanliness could also be improved. The key card is often problematic and hard to use to unlock lift or even room door. Do check that items labeled with price tag are chargeable and its kinda unnoticeable at first. Another thing I'd suggest to the management is to ask staff to wear proper mask (not scuba as it's not effective). Well, at least the overall look of this hotel is not bad.

Reviews some points from other travelers. Choose this hotel for visiting medan town. The room is smelly and hk no change bedsheets either pillow case. No replace amenities toiletries. no tissue roll until i need to get from their HK store room. Water pressure was too slow . Breakfast was so so.. only i 💕 is kelupis.. the trainee was so efficient to clean the table even if you did not finish your meal yet🥴... One of the staff should be recognized sincerely due to i left my purse at restaurants and she kept my purse. Thanks to her! .. concierge needs to change to young people. Don't look at all the guests stranger.
