Pros: 1- Decent staff 2- clean 3- near to Harram. Special thanks to Radwan and Ibrahim "House keeping", they are really decent, polite, helpful and easy to communicate with them Cons 1- Worst internet l've used, not stable at all. 2- The bellman didn't reply the phone while leaving, 3- old furniture.

We had a superb stay at Emaar Royal Medina hotel. Check in was quick and efficient it was done by Mujahid very nice boy with a big smile on his face. My husband and myself stayed for 6 days it was a fantastic experience. Room was very nice and clean 2 boys who maintained the cleaning on our 3rd floor were Ibrahim and Rizwan they were both very helpful cleaned our room everyday and provided with new clean towels, tea,coffee and all the other essentials. Breakfast was good with different varieties of food staff were also helpful and friendly. Overall all the staff in this hotel were helpful, from my experience I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I stayed at Emar Royal with my family, including young children, and from day one, the experience was appalling. To start, the lifts were out of service, forcing us to climb up ten flights of stairs. This was incredibly inconvenient and exhausting, especially for the kids. The electrical outlets in most of our rooms were faulty. If you wanted to charge your phone, you had to keep the lights on. Once the lights were turned off, the power to the sockets would cut off, making it nearly impossible to charge devices overnight. The walls were paper-thin, allowing us to hear every conversation, movement, and even the sounds of running water from neighboring rooms. And to top it off, the hotel alarm went off at random times—first on Wednesday morning for nearly four hours, then again on Thursday at 1:30 a.m. The notices left in the lifts were poorly written and didn’t clarify why the alarms were happening or how long they would last. Housekeeping was virtually nonexistent. They didn’t have clean towels or floor mats on hand, claiming they hadn’t arrived yet. Throughout our five-day stay, we received only two clean towels. Basic room cleaning was ignored—the carpets were filthy, so we had to wear sandals indoors. The room phone didn’t work, so we had to use other family members’ phones to request items, and it often took ages for anyone to respond. Even when they finally came to clean, they only adjusted the blankets and left towels in the bathroom without actually cleaning or vacuuming. Breakfast was equally disappointing. Arriving 30 minutes before closing time, I expected at least a partial refill of the food, but the staff were already packing up. When I asked the chef if any food would be available, he told me “time’s up.” After involving the manager, he instructed the chef to make me some eggs, but they only arrived 30 minutes later, when I had almost finished what little was left. Basic amenities were lacking. There was no iron or ironing board, and the fridge looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 1980s. The cupboards was broken, and reception staff unresponsive to calls. When I complained to my travel agent, the management promised to address our concerns and assured us we’d receive a visit. We’re still waiting for that visit. If you’re considering Emar Royal, please reconsider. Basic amenities and minimal service are nowhere to be found here. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone – stay far away!

I rarely get so angry at a hotel and its amenities. Since coming here on Monday, everyday the fire alarm has been going off at random times of the day causing the lifts to stop working. Climbing up and down the stairs with children and buggies, especially as we are put on 10th floor. Service at breakfast is terrible, no one comes to put out new cutlery/plates when you come down for breakfast and ignores you when you ask for it. No egg station, they serve rice and curry for breakfast. Arab men on front desk are rude and again ignore you. We booked 5 rooms and one room doesn’t have working electrics to charge phones. Bathrooms are disgusting and run down with rust everywhere, poor job of holding the sink up and caulking against the sink. Definitely not a 4*, would be surprised if its even a 2*. I have never wanted to leave a hotel more in my life. They just need to break this hotel down and rebuild.

Absolute nightmare hotel. This doesn’t even deserve 3*s as it’s just a shambles. Since day one to our very last day of stay the fire alarms have gone off continuously throughout the day, forget napping between prayers or even getting to your room - especially if you are on the top floors. The lifts stop working during fire alarms and so you are stuck on which ever floor you are on. Having children and buggies you can’t walk up those stairs. Breakfast has absolutely disgusting service, firstly they are serving rice and curry for breakfast, along with random bits like noodles? This is very strange and baffling! Secondly staff are incompetent and just don’t set up tables with basics such as knives, forks and spoons. If you ask them for such basics it’s like it’s too much of a bother for them. We had a family member unwell one morning therefore had to take breakfast up to the room, the woman at reception chased us out the front to tell us that we are not allowed to take any food out of the restaurant. I found this absolutely absurd as we paid for breakfast to be included and the family member was unwell, should she starve to death then? The manager however didn’t seem to care about it, but was unwilling to provide a food cover or foil to cover the plate for us to take the food up. The rooms are absolutely filthy, the ‘cleaners’ come in to just tidy your bed and take the bins. I mean you would be lucky if they even come in daily to do that! No cleaning of surfaces, no changing towels/ bath mats, no cleaning the bathroom at all. Not really sure why they employ them, I’m capable of tidying my own bed. When calling room service for towels to be replaced they state they will come, and don’t show up till about 3/4 more calls. Most days they have just hung up on me or not answered the calls. When complaining at reception I receive the same response, they just don’t care about their guests. I was told one day that the laundry has not returned, and this was at 2:30pm! I was then told later that evening that they are out of towels therefore not enough for guests. It’s actually a laughable matter as you are not being given the basic amenities that even a 1* in the UK would have. For those people who have rated this hotel a 4/5* I’m really not sure what their standard of cleanliness is, or where they go to stay when on holiday / abroad because I would not even stay here for free if I knew it was like this.

Great hotel, affordable price, need to improve cleanliness of the rooms and public areas especially corridors. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the lack of cleanliness is a major downside. The management should focus on implementing stricter cleaning protocols to maintain a higher standard. Additionally, investing in regular maintenance and updates can also help improve the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of the hotel. Overall, addressing these cleanliness issues will greatly enhance the guest experience and reputation of the hotel.

What a relief that Emaar Royal reopened. Got our double room immediately on arrival. Near ladies entrance. Perfect. Breakfast really varied. Impressed. Most of all..room cleaned daily- concierge and reception in fact all staff attentive and professional. I cannot comprehend what people were complaining about. My go to hotel inshAllah in medina. 2 Pakistani and one Indonesian restaurant various food markets on doorstep... its on one side on masjid nabi....so shopping wise plenty local. But walk around 5 min to taiba center etc Quba cabs etc outside hotel.

Terrible hotel stay!!! Everything is broken- from the bathroom ceiling; TV remote; broken flush etc. Can’t open windows so no ventilation. Just returned to UK and the whole family is ill !!! Please avoid at all costs! Should be a 2 star hotel! Bathroom and room so smelly !

Emaar Royal Hotel Madina is one of the best hotel in Medina near Masjid Al Haram. It's just 2-3 minutes walk to Haram from the hotel. I stayed 6N from 5th dec to 11th Dec 2023 with a pleasant staying over their. The reception is exceptional and provided Me an excellent corner room where I hot a view to Masjid Al Bukhari and the main road. During my stay I found the house keeping is excellent specially the House Man Mr Abu Taher Mesbah dis his best job in keeping the room very steady and clean. All the amenities were duly found all the time. The breakfast was awesome and value for money. This is my second time staying this year. I visited on February this year also. Its very convenient for women's as the women gate is very near. I will give 10/10 to this hotel for its service and Overall performance.
