We arrived in Songkou planning to explore the town, and since it was already getting late, we also began considering finding a place to stay for the night. The hotel’s location immediately stood out — perfectly situated between the parking lot and the waterfront square, making it incredibly convenient while still feeling connected to the heart of the town. The building itself is beautifully restored and carries deep historical character, as it once served as the old ticket station where the ferry used to dock. You can really feel the thoughtful care that went into transforming this heritage structure into a hotel — the preservation work is evident in every detail, blending history with comfort in a way that feels both respectful and welcoming.
The staff on March 1st were exceptionally warm and attentive — both the gentleman and the lady were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They personally showed us the room and offered to help with our luggage, checked in on our food order, and even came by afterward to clear the plates. Their knowledge of the area was impressive, and they happily shared suggestions on what to see and do nearby. Meanwhile, fireworks were still going off in the distance, adding a festive atmosphere to the evening. The hotel itself continues to impress the more you explore it — a carefully restored historic space filled with thoughtful touches, including a lovely fruit platter in the room. There is also an interesting hall dedicated to Hakka culture that doubles as an event venue, and a stunning bar on the top floor overlooking the water, where we could watch people setting off fireworks across the river. In the morning, the view becomes something truly special — clouds drifting slowly to partially veil the mountains across the river, creating a peaceful, calming atmosphere that makes the whole place feel like a hidden gem.
我们来到嵩口是为了探索这座小镇，由于时间已经有些晚了，也开始考虑在当地找个地方住一晚。这家酒店的位置非常出色，正好位于停车场和临水广场之间，既方便又贴近小镇的核心区域。建筑本身修复得非常漂亮，充满历史韵味——这里曾经是旧时渡船停靠的售票站。可以明显感受到在将这座历史建筑改造成酒店的过程中投入了大量心思与细致的保护工作，每一个细节都展现出对历史的尊重，同时又兼顾了舒适与温馨。
3月1日当天的工作人员格外热情周到——无论是男员工还是女员工都非常友善、乐于助人，让人一到这里就有宾至如归的感觉。他们亲自带我们看房间，主动帮忙拿行李，还关心我们的餐食情况，并在用餐后帮忙收走餐具。他们对周边环境非常了解，也热心推荐值得体验的活动和景点。与此同时，远处仍不断有烟花绽放，为夜晚增添了节庆般的氛围。酒店本身越细看越令人惊喜——这座精心修复的历史空间处处充满用心设计，房间里还准备了精致的水果拼盘。馆内还有一个展示客家文化的特色大厅，同时也可作为活动场地使用，而顶楼则设有一间非常漂亮的酒吧，可以俯瞰水面，还能看到对岸有人在河边燃放烟花。到了清晨，景色更是令人难忘——河对岸的群山被缓缓流动的云雾半遮半掩，环境宁静舒缓，让人感觉这里仿佛是一处隐秘而放松的宝藏之地。

PPengguna TetamuVery good choice for accommodation which is conveniently located and not too noisy. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of the bed and cleanliness. When we reached the hotel, we were very early and had thought we would we’d thought we would need to deposit our luggage with the concierge. Much to our surprise, the room was ready for us and the key cards were issued readily! The hotel lobby was tastefully decorated and has amenities that catered to guests’ needs. I chose to upgrade my room to one that provided a comfortable mattress (梦百合0压床垫). It’s comfortable for me. Unfortunately for my aunt who is a petite old lady, the bed was too tall for her and she struggled to get onto the bed. There was some electrical works carried out on the night we checked in. The hotel staff took the effort to inform us personally aside from placing a notification letter in our room. Overall, we had a good experience staying here and would definitely consider the hotel if we return.

LLuv to travelMy first visit to Meizhou City, home of the Hakka people. Stayed in Days Hotel. Supposedly a 4 star hotel, this place offers great value for your stay. The room is large by comparison. The hotel has a laundry room on the second floor and all you have to do it to pop your laundry into the washer and leave a note with your room number and type of wash. An attendant will finish off the wash and dry cycle, fold your clothes and deliver them to you packed nicely in a laundry bag. Free!
My travelling friend complained about the smell of smoke in his room. Hotel was apologetic and arranged a nicer (larger) room for him immediately. Manager on duty gave special attention to us and chatted with us whenever he saw us. Talk about personalised service.
Location wise, I find Days to be rather close to all the sightseeing and food places I earmarked. As the city does not have a subway and the bus comes in rather long intervals, the location becomes more important. Fortunately, ride hailing is easy and cheap in Meizhou.
I plan to return to Meizhou again in the future. Definitely staying in Days again.

WW_HanThe entrance and the lobby of the hotel looked more like a jade and furniture display store than the usual hotel lobby. The night club and massage parlor in the same building gave the impression of an entertainment outlet. However, the rooms were well- appointed like a modern business hotel with auto-flush toilet and voice-controlled lightning, A/C, and TV. The mattress could be a little firm for some but was perfect for my back. Although the shower's water took almost 2 minutes to get hot, the water pressure was excellent. Except for a frosted glass for the shower and another for the toilet, there was no wall partition. There was no fridge in the room. The included breakfast was simple with some traditional Hakka dishes and snacks. Only hardboiled eggs are available as there was no egg station. Breakfast selections were 95% the same for both mornings. There are numerous eateries, cafes, convenience stores, and supermarkets around the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had the most amazing experience from the staff.

We traveled to Meizhou from Shezhen.
Being from Australia with limited communication we struggled to get a DiDi not realising we were in the wrong town wanting a long trip.
We contacted White Swan hoping they could help us get transport. The lovely ladies Alice and Anna made every attempt to get us a DiDi so late at night and they had a friend who was able to get us from the train station.
Once he was at Meizhou train station and couldn’t locate us. Alice suggested we share location on WeChat. it was then that we all realised we were in the wrong town.
We had accidentally got off the train at the station before Meizhou, Xingningcun
Alice & Anna were so kind and offered to help find us accommodation for the night as it was already midnight.
We didn’t really want to because it will interfere with our schedule but there were no more trains. The ladies understood and
said they could ask her DiDi driver friend but no guarantee as he had finished work for the night.
She asked if he would be willing to travel the 1.5 hours to Xingning South Railway station at 1am to come get us.
Which would actually have him driving for 3 hours for us.
It was a late night but we are so grateful that they tried so hard to communicate with us and make us feel safe and cared for. He was wonderful and because of his kindness we reached out to him many times during our stay. The staff especially Anna and Alice were amazing. Thank you for making our first visit to China a memorable experience.
The rooms were perfect, clean and comfortable.

Because of the 2024 experience, we have chosen to stay at White Swan Guest House. They continue to go above and beyond, and it was great to reconnect with Alice again.

DDailytravelsThe room was spacious and clean. We are very happy with our stay, the only thing that could improve is that the room smelled a lot from cigarettes though we requested a non smoking room. But all the employees was very kind and made up for that. We especially wanna praise receptionist Zhou Li who works the afternoon shift. She went out of her way to help us and make us comfortable during our stay. She is very friendly and kind.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is conveniently situated at a junction where you can find food very easily. There is also a supermarket nearby so we could just stroll over to grab a yogurt drink after meal. The hotel room looked dated and it’s observable from the design and the bathroom, as well as the carpets. However, the room is reasonably clean and service was sincere, friendly and prompt. I sent some clothes for laundry and the staff took the effort to inform me that the clothes would be hand washed then dried under the sun so they should be ready by evening time later on. She also informed me of the pricing, then went on to ask if I was alright with that. I like it that they are very clear with charges and there is no hidden cost. Service was also very prompt. I asked for more water at the concierge when I came back from dinner and the room service staff was already waiting for me at my room door with the water by the time I got out of the lift. The beds were clean and comfortable too. My aunt and I rested well for the two nights we stayed there. The only negative was probably the air conditioner which was quite loud. But once we fell asleep, it didn’t bother us. There is also a very cute tea set in the room which guests could utilize if they wanted tea. It would have been better if they had given us four bottles of water instead of two. Then we would have been having our little tea appreciation session more regularly.
