Staffs are hard to contact. They don't pay attention on the ex-customer. I asked for my receipts for my group. They didn't send me the correct receipt. I tried to follow but they didn't care anything. I don't recommend for anyone who will come for business issues.
Chateau Yering
4.3/567 Ulasan
We had a 2 night stay at Chateau Yering as a catch up for old work colleagues. There were some initial problems ( very poor attitude and communication from one reception staff member who caused issues with our booking and meals ). These were quickly rectified quickly by Vince & his colleagues. He and the dark haired front of house person were excellent . So too were the restaurant and bar staff. However, the place is very very run down . It was very disappointing . The cost per night was $400 (inc breakfast only ). It is more expensive that the 5 star hotels in the city but is no where near the standard. It is the frayed couches, worn out mechanics and dated interiors that results in the place not making the grade any longer and needs a huge revamp . The computers were not working the entire time we were there despite many staff doing their best to repair the system . It meant that staff were diverted from doing their proper roles and the service suffered as a result ( I stress staff were not to blame but were in fact trying their hardest to sort out ongoing problems that were just beyond their control). We ordered the degustation menu with matching wines . As a result of staff being called to do other roles i.e.fix computer system, our wines did not match the course and arrived late , leaving us with cold food while we waited for the wine . Further , the TV in my room did not work properly, I also felt that the breakfast was a disappointment. Usually I would expect a buffet of fruit, cereal , juice, toast and bakery items and then also have a hot selection to order as part of the breakfast ( the cost was listed as $35 pp) . However it was one section of breakfast item and one hot drink according to the menu .That was all. We were offered juice but it was unclear if this would be extra or included . A similar issue happened with the second coffee . There were no newspapers on the first day but some on the weekend day. The food was mostly very good especially from Eleanor's restaurant . A charcuterie board that we ordered was quite lean in the quantity and some of the meats were not very nice ( this was the order that was messed up ) and required additional items to be ordered . In short great staff ( except for the cranky blonde woman on reception ) , nice food that was a bit light on in serving sizes, but terrible surroundings .
Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

We had a lovely one night staycation as a family of three at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins and it was the perfect location to explore our own city despite Melbourne's freezing Wintery conditions! We are fortunate to be Accor Silver Members and enjoyed a room upgrade on the 48th floor with a spectacular view of the city and bay. From our first interaction with the reception staff, all the staff encountered were exceptionally professional and welcoming. A real credit to the Sofitel brand. We enjoyed cocktails in the Atrium Bar and a great breakfast at No. 35 with a definite French flair to the offerings. We last stayed at the hotel many years ago and were pleased to see that the rooms have undergone very tasteful upgrades and have a real ”luxe” feel about them. They were also very clean and well maintained. The beds were sightly uncomfortable but we loved the pillow menu options available. It's a lovely hotel to stay at with some quaint callbacks to the 1990s with some of the architecture and decor in the main areas. There is particularly a feeling of spaciousness in the hotel which is lacking in the more recent hotel builds. We will definitely be back!

The location is good, on Elizabeth Street, near the Victoria Markets and there is a tram stop approximately 50 metres away from the front of the hotel. The food, staff and service were all excellent too. The room is very modern and clean with a comfortable bed. Very affordable and we would definitely stay here again.
Amora Hotel Riverwalk

One of the WORST hotel experiences ever had! Please, don't book! Our Stay/Room - Bed side tables were FILTHY. Had a layer of dust all over it! - My wife and child (who both suffer from sever asthma), were triggered by the amount of dust that was all over the room. Window seals, curtains, bed side tables, EVERYTHING was dirty. Not sure how much cleaning happens at Amora. - The carpet was just disgusting. So much so, that we did not put our small toddler on the floor/carpet once. Had to put a towel down (no blankets provided) - Bath robes still had Makeup ALL OVER IT - We found a pair of somebody’s socks under the bed..... - Balcony was sooooo dirty. It was flooded with water. Couldn't even walk out there. Dining at Amora - A pathetic excuse for a ''restaurant” - EXTREMELY overpriced. Complete rip-off - My pasta was sloppy, overcooked and had ZERO flavour - Chips were good. That's about it - Staff looked constantly confused at basic requests - We only ate here because it was raining and we didn't want to bring our kids out into the rain Location - The only thing that was good.... Never have I stayed at such a run-down, tired, disgustingly filthy hotel at TOP PRICE. What an ABSOLUTE RIP OFF! Felt more stressed and tired from having stayed here. What a complete waste of money.
