This hotel was an absolutely wonderful place to stay during our trip. The location is incredibly convenient for getting around the city. It is situated just a short walk away from the nearest tram station. From the moment we walked in, the overall cleanliness was truly impressive. Our room was completely spotless and meticulously maintained every single day. Furthermore, the hotel staff provided excellent service from check-in to check-out. Every employee we interacted with was genuinely welcoming, polite, and eager to help. We also greatly appreciated the ability to leave our luggage safely at the reception. This convenient luggage storage gave us the freedom to explore without carrying heavy bags on our last day. Finally, the beautiful view from our window made the entire experience absolutely perfect.

Overall, it was pretty good, mainly because this was our pickup point for the Great Ocean Road tour on the second day. I requested a high floor, but they gave me the lowest one. Since it was only for one night, I didn't mind too much. The location seems great; there are many places to eat brunch nearby. The bedding was also decent, and I slept very soundly. There are quite a few Chinese tour groups here, so I wonder why there isn't a Chinese staff member at the front desk?

Very kind staff and a clean room for cheaper price. Easy to reach from city. Near the Queen Victoria Market so you can check it out. Lots of eateries and cafes around here.

Booked a family suite with two rooms, perfect for a large family. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is located right in the city center. Breakfast is a simple continental style. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets close by.

Great location, just few hundred metres away from Queen Victoria Market, which u may find almost everything there. We can just walk around or travel with free tram to most of the tourist spot in town. Daily room service available with basic amenities. Only fridge, microwave and basic dinnerware available in the apartment. But anyway it’s really value for money.

The place is spacious and tidy, but unfortunately, the kitchen only has a microwave. There are no cooking utensils or cleaning supplies like dish soap, which significantly reduces its convenience. The washing machine also has a bit of an odor.

Upon entering, there was an unpleasant odor from both the kitchen and the bathroom. I suggest the hotel replace the shower curtain. The location is quite convenient; if you're taking a day tour, there's a chance you can arrange pickup and drop-off right at the hotel entrance. The Chinese restaurants near the hotel are open late, and it's close to Queen Victoria Market, which is nice.

Good value for money hotel. Breakfasts are good, tasty, and varied. The rooms have everything you need. The staff is friendly.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Queen Victoria Market, and within the free tram zone, making it very convenient to get around. The room was very quiet, and the need for a key card to access the upper floors made it feel quite safe. It's also a pickup and drop-off point for all Trip.com day tours, which was extremely convenient.

Let's start with the fact that there was a bed leg lying in the middle of our room (although all the legs were in place), and only two towels for three people (they brought an extra one after we called). They clean every other day. They also don't take out the trash (even during these half-hearted cleanings). There's a pile of rubbish by the elevator on our floor. The double bed was 130, maybe 140 cm wide at most, like for kids, it was very cramped for two adults to sleep on. The pillow was so thin, it felt like it was stolen, and the blankets were equally thin. There's no natural light in the room; our windows faced the neighboring building, so we could see our neighbors opposite in the evening. The location is right in the city center. I'm very disappointed with Ibis; when booking hotels of this chain in other countries, you expect a simple room, but with wide beds, daily cleaning, etc.

The room facilities are quite old, but the location is excellent. It's convenient for getting everywhere, with supermarkets, the Queen Victoria Market, and many popular attractions nearby. Car rental shops are also very close, which is a big plus.

The one-bedroom suite I booked was excellent. The bedding was very clean, and there was a small table perfect for dining. The living room had a fridge and microwave, plus a small sink, which was very convenient for boiling water or preparing simple meals. I stayed in room 1112 this time, right next to the laundry room. Before leaving Melbourne for Sydney, I was able to wash and dry all my clothes from the past few days. Washing costs 4 AUD for 30 minutes (coin-operated), and drying also costs 4 AUD for 45 minutes (coin-operated), so it's more cost-effective to do all your laundry at once. The hotel is right next to Queen Victoria Market, just a few meters away, which is incredibly convenient. The tram is also free to ride, and all the day tours I booked offered pick-up and drop-off right outside the hotel. On the downside, the room wasn't particularly new, and the bathroom required showering in the bathtub with a shower curtain for waterproofing. Also, the hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or mouthwash cups, so you need to bring your own. There were no charging outlets near the bed either.

The room facilities are a bit old, and the soundproofing is quite poor; the fridge also makes noise intermittently. However, its major advantage is its convenient location. There's a tram stop nearby, making it easy to get anywhere. It's also not far from the University of Melbourne and the State Library. Plus, there's a Chinese supermarket right across from the hotel, which is super convenient for buying familiar food items.
