Let's start with what is good about this business- * New carpets in the rooms/hallways * New furniture in reception * New beds/linen/TVs/lamps in the rooms * The location is unsurpassed- walking distance to the Women's hospital AND numerous parks, Brunswicks nightlife and shopping district * The carpark is generous * The staff are pleasant But then... what's bad? * No bins in the bathroom * Not enough power points in the rooms in convenient locations ( We all have to charge devices these days) * The pool looked lovely until you realise that in mid-Summer... it's not clean * Value is poor- I understand tennis is on in Melbourne so the motels are set at a premium... but really? Mid renovations and unfinished rooms... and they feel they can put the price up??That reflects badly on the management of this location because it's opportunistic in all the wrong ways. * Rooms are not maintained during your staff- beds were not made when we returned from our day out ... and then the ugly! * The water literally wasn't on in the morning... due to the lack of presence of hot water, we had learned to turn the taps on and let it run for a few minutes... but on the second morning here it literally stopped and no water came out for about five minutes. Thinking it was safe once the water returned, I showered, only for it to stop for about 20 seconds mid shower * Water for the shower runs hot and cold... literally mid-shower * Renovations are occurring like other reviewers have noted and there is clutter in the hallways It's not a motel that one would return to in a hurry, but if they manage to make good on their renovations and revitalise the outside areas ... it has potential to be something special.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this place. Reception is ready to serve from 8 to almost 10 pm and everyone speaks English and mandarin. Car parks are always available. The place is right besides a main road so very convenient for almost any destinations. Royal park and princess park is just a few minutes away. I actually went jogging for two straight days. Again, very nice place. The only small obstacle is that if you don’t have car and will be limited by public transportation, might not feel so happy, especially when raining. This is a lovely little hotel with only 10 rooms. There's a restaurant/pub below with excellent food. It closes before 10pm, so no real issue with noise there. I was given room 104 which was their largest room with a sitting area. It has no view which wasn't the real issue. The problem was a large compressor outside the window which went on and off all night which disturbed the sleep quality. I requested a change of room and the staff were happy to oblige, most politely with no questions asked. I was given one of the rooms facing the main road which was not particularly busy and so was essentially quieter. However the trams start at about 5.45am which woke me up early (luckily I had to wake up about then anyway to catch my international flight). There was some other noise at around 2am with a couple of guys talking loudly outside but that's another story ... The other problem I had is that I suffer from allergy and this bothered me during my 3 night stay. I suspect that the carpet was made from wool (which I'm allergic) to rather than feather pillows (which I'm also allergic to). But this would not be an issue for normal folk! Overall, I liked this place. Loved the boutique style. The food downstairs was delicious. Staff were polite. I chose this hotel because of the location close to the Uni.

Didn’t expect that our room has a view of a wall from the next building. I should have taken a photo to show. Halllway is narrow. Buffet food- same food serves everyday and not much choices. Had a tummy bug on our first day after having buffet breakfast. I suspect it is the coffee machine. On a positive note, location is perfect and close to some nice resto.

Only thing i love about this apartment is the location. Its near to kultiple convinience store and a tran station just infront of it. Its also a 5 minutes walk to Queen Victoria Market. Nevertheless, a value for money place to just have a roof over your head for your trip/visit to Melbourne.

Great apartment for a family.

I had booked this hotel as I had got decent prices compared to other hotels in the area. After booking, I read horrid reviews about the hotel. after contemplating cancelling the stay, I decided to give it a try. It exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was brilliant. The housekeeping was to my expectations. The bathroom with the jacuzzi facility (SPA) in the bath tub was very good. The service, generally was good, thought I didnt call for room service etc. I made sure I did not tough any of the items to be purchased and eaten (as I had the experience of Las Vegas, where if you touched something, the sensors could detect it and you could get charged). The location was just brilliant - close to a tram line and in the heart of the city. Its close to the main biz center on Collins (you can walk there). I did not try the breakfast. Yes, admittedly, the hotel appears a bit old with slightly old (but acceptable to me) carpets. But I had not come in with the expectations of walking into a Four Seasons or a Sofitel. I'm a frequent traveler (5-6 trips a month); and for the price, in heart of MEL, this place is a steal. Dont go with the wrong expectation and you will enjoy the place. To sum it - BRILLIANT & most definitely VALUE FOR MONEY. I will DEFINITELY GO BACK. Thank you, Stamford team!

Selepas menginap selama empat malam, keseluruhan penginapan adalah agak baik, bersih, tenang, sepadan dengan harga. Iaitu, kemudahan itu lebih lama daripada yang ditunjukkan dalam gambar, dan pembersihan rumah harian telah dibatalkan semasa wabak, memerlukan janji temu.

We chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

We didn’t look to the hotel for more than just a bed for the night, so didn’t check out the other facilities. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, and the room was set up in a modern and pleasant way. The room has most of what you need but it is very small, with very little space to even set down a suitcase. I would have preferred access to a full size ironing board rather than a desktop one.
