Hotel berhampiran Manantial de agua dulce, Menorca

We voelden ons zeer welkom in Rafael en Anna's kasteel. Kamer klein maar schoon en had alles wat we nodig hadden. Alleen de douchecabine was erg krap, maar overdwars pasten we er net in. Dagelijks schone handdoeken en schoonmaak van de kamer. 2 keer van Anna's keuken genoten. Menu eenvoudig maar smaakvol

Overall, a good value place to stay. As other reviews have said, the decor is a little dated, but perfectly acceptable, and the apartment was as clean as one would hope. End of June was unexpectedly quiet, but in a good way. Bus to Mahon runs hourly from the bottom of the road (5 mins walk) and is Euro 1.80 each way. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car. Some great restaurants in the town (recommend Casa Fermin) and a great beach. Only minor issue was the air-con wasn't great, but hey ... it's 32 degrees in June in the Med ... so we knew what to expect. Breeze through the apartment cooled it in the day, just a bit warm overnight. Would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay here ( now called The Osprey). We arrived on the 9/7/23. Our room was ready, staff on reception very helpful. Safety deposit boxes in rooms no weekly charge just €5.00 deposit. You can also borrow pool towels for €10.00 deposit ( refunded when returned). I am also advised that you can borrow a kettle and an iron. The room itself was lovely, clean nice towels and bedding etc. Room also has a mini fridge. The Bar/ restaurant lovely with amazing views. Nice pool and sun beds etc again very clean. Bar/ restaurant staff all lovely, very attentive & an absolute credit to the hotel. We ate there & honestly we weren’t disappointed. I would completely recommend staying/ eating at the hotel. We would definitely return!

What a find! Expectations were high and the hotel and its marvellous team did not disappoint. Location (a ten minute taxi ride from the airport and only a few minutes walk to the harbour), its styling, its service with a smile (especially Bella's at breakfast), Luisa, Anna - everyone so happy to see you, making sure everything was ok. Room with sunbed terrace on the top floor so beautifully designed, our twin beds and bedding just divine, sumptuous pillows (a pillow menu!), air con silent and effective, L'Occitane toiletries, room cleaned with care every day. The most perfect of continental breakfasts; smoked salmon, avo, mushrooms, fresh fruit, croissants etc...perfectly ripe and freshly baked. No rickety table or sticky menu, here. Bean-to-cup coffee machine and assorted tea bags free all day, snacks too at lunchtime. Small garden and pool downstairs was a lovely alternative for reading, whilst cooling in the pool, or playing cards in the shade. Library/reading room with its quality books and art, providing a serene and relaxing venue to escape the sun at its hottest. My friend and i have travelled a lot and we notice everything! This hotel was just fantastic in every way - this is how it should be done. We will definitely be back.

We have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

Abbiamo soggiornato 9 notti in questo hotel e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo trovato un ambiente accogliente, ospitale e rilassante. Il personale gentilissimo, super accogliente e amichevole. Ci siamo sentiti all'interno di una famiglia. Colazione e cena ottime, ogni sera proposte diverse e piatti locali. Camera accogliente e pulita. Posto ideale per rilassarsi e strategico e centrale per visitare comodamente l'isola spostandosi con l'auto. Lo consiglio vivamente. Tornassi a Minorca riprenoterei qui senza dubbio.

What a lovely hotel! We booked only 2 weeks before our holiday and emailed the hotel to request a room with a pool view and happily we were in a really nice location. I did feel the restaurant was more like a cafeteria and very brightly lit. On our first evening we were left to find a table when it was really busy. It's always nice to be greeted by someone when you arrive. There was plenty of choice for hot and cold meals. We walked to the marina each evening and as others have said it is a 15/20 minute walk from the hotel. Depends how fast you walk!! The cleaning staff are brilliant and cleaned our room every day. The pools and grounds are well looked after also. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

A little gem of a hotel. Perfect location for the marina and beach. Although we didn’t have a sea view the room was still clean, spacious, comfy beds (maybe not the pullout but much better than in some family rooms we have visited recently). Breakfast was plentiful and evening meals were fine, not lots of choice but enough and is replenished regularly - first all inclusive I have been to and didn’t find anything undercooked so care seems to be taken. In other reviews people have commented on flies on the food. Yes it is a little gross but not really sure what the hotel can do, they have lots of fly lights and fans around to kill them but they are relentless. Sitting outside to eat helps but they are very irritating. Sunbeds were not tricky to get, after breakfast there were plenty to choose from. Lovely pool, very clean and inviting and never too busy. Drinks are priced reasonably - it would be nice if water was supplied with evening meals, as it is at breakfast or even if you are allowed to bring your own water into the restaurant would be good. All staff are very hardworking, constantly cleaning and renovating around the grounds, always happy to help. Supermarket over the road brilliant for stocking up on food for the fridge, all apartments have full cooking facilities - we didn’t use but could see some families cooking in the evenings. Without doubt we will return - it’s the best round hotel we have stayed in for a long time, try and book sea view if you can afford. We only booked 2 days before we flew so rooms were limited but the view must be wonderful!

Please don't listen to any of the negative comments. I am currently holidaying here and was incredibly worried after reading reviews post booking. This resort is lovely and in a beautiful location with it's own access to a wonderful beach a stones throw away which you can see is a hotspot for people to travel to as it is gorgeous. Easy access to a beautiful spot to watch the sunset too. The apartment is clean and comfortable, it's smaller and more basic than we are used to for self catering but we plan to eat at various restaurants throughout our stay and have picnic lunches, it is in a peaceful location, other holiday makers and staff are friendly who are happy to help, there are plenty of large pools to use on the complex which are clean and quiet. We go to Menorca every year trying out new places to stay, and this so far has been our favourite location, plenty to explore nearby and not surrounded by Brits- I'd stay in the UK if I wanted that! The on site supermarket has little to choose from but there is a slightly bigger one in walking distance, free parking for guests so it's great if you hire a car to travel the island, equally very easy to get a taxi which are always reasonably priced.

The location is very pretty, on cobbled streets and narrow passages but very close to the main street. The staff was very kind and helpful and patient with us, even though we couldn't speak the language right. the rooms are spacious and excellently tidy and aesthetically pleasing. they have a common area with an open roof where you can stargaze on summer nights.
