We were very anxious about our stay due to reviews to the point we even spoke to Jet 2 who we travelled with days prior to our holiday about changing our accommodation, due to how close we were to travel we were unable to switch, and I’m glad this was the case we were pleasantly surprised. We found some of what we had read in reviews was true however we had a brilliant holiday and would return to Vibra Blanc Palace, however there is a great deal the hotel could do to improve this accommodation further. And this long review I’m hoping will be read and acted up on…. Positives - Entertainment - completely exceeded our expectations, 3 entertainers were all brilliant, there was the best minidisco I’ve experience from 20:30-21:15 each night - each one ended with a little game or surprise for the children. This then followed on with 1 hour of family entertainment 21:30-22:30, some poor … karaoke, music, some brilliant - flamenco dancers and African circus show these were professional acts and we very much enjoyed them. Rooms - 1 bedroom apartment, spacious and clean with everything we needed for a half board stay. Location - Brilliant short bus trips from Ciutadella or Cala En Bosch a great base to explore from and a beautiful beach cove right in the hotels back door step. Negatives - Restaurant - All though the food choices for breakfast and dinner were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals, plates were put out dirty you do have to search for which plates have come out clean from the dishwasher, at night there was a soup 90% of the time this was unlabelled and you had to guess the soup and whether this was suitable for vegetarians. Pool areas - Although I didn’t feel it was dirty it definately wasn’t cleaned regularly enough or to an expected standard. And the sun beds were horrendous, you had to pick out ones that weren’t broken, and they all looked as though they are never cleaned. Paths and grounds - Not maintained to a good standard. Paths were dangerous for push chairs although one was being relayed during our stay so hopefully this is been rectifyed… the little walk way from reception down to the food hall with a little picket fence looked like it needed ripping out and re doing and all the grass /flower boxes have just been abandoned, it all needs a good water and some TLC. Room cards/room door - The amount of time on my holiday I wasted waiting for a room card was ridiculous, the card would work for 3/4 entry’s then we would need to go and swap, this was often blamed on it being near to a mobile phone however this didn’t seem to make any difference when we kept it separate from phones. All this said we had a great time :-)

This was a really lovely small hotel. It is very close to the centre of Cuitadella old town, which meant that it was close to some excellent restuarants, including our favourite Moriarty. The staff at the hotel were exceptional - every member of staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from the waitress at breakfast, the reception staff and the cleaners. Our room, I have to say was basic but it had a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Plenty of coat hangers, a safe and a fridge and although there was no kettle there was one for general use in the lounge area by reception. Complimentary water by the glass was also available from a dispenser by reception. The swimming pool as gorgeous. Very clean and a good size for swimming lengths and towels can be obtained from reception. Lovely seating area around the pool as well with sun beds and also relaxing sofas and chairs. Breakfast was good with a selection of cereals, fruit, breads and pastries, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and bacon. Coffee from the machine was excellent. Wifi was also excellent and for those who want it there were English TV channels available. A/C also worked well.

WOW what a wonderful place.The location was perfect.The manager and staff could not be faulted. They were so friendly and helpful.The cleaning staff were excellent and happy.Breakfast was enough to set you up for the day and staff were always topping up the selection. The local entertainment of people jumping into the sea from the rocks to the early nude swimming group was a bonus. Will definiely return.Thanking you all for making our holiday one to remember.john and christine grant

We have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

The location of the hotel is perfect, easy to find parking and walk to the hotel. Close to some very good restaurants in the centre of town. The hotel staff were particularly helpful, when we asked for suggestions for places to visit or calas to sunbathe. Indeed we suggested the receptionist was better than Google! For breakfast you can order many things: I recommend the toast with avocado and anchovies. The charming lady will make it there and then for you. Overall we had a wonderful week there.
