We just returned from a ten day trip to Italy where Hotel Il Convento was one of four places we stayed. It was my favorite, from the very comfortable bed and the great air conditioning, to the very friendly staff and the delicious breakfast. This was the only hotel that gave us a full breakfast that included eggs, meats and cheeses as well as delicious pastries. Our room had a private balcony which was very appreciated, in order to relax outdoors at the end of our busy days. I highly recommend Hotel Il Convento!

Carmela, la proprietaria, è un esempio di gentilezza ed ospitalità. Siamo ritornati ( due adulti e due bambini)per la seconda volta nel suo BeB e abbiamo nuovamente apprezzato la pulizia impeccabile, la disponibilità e la cura dell'ospite. Abbiamo prenotato entrambe le stanze disponibili e,anche questa volta ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Carmela cura con attenzione il comfort degli appartamenti. Offre inoltre una colazione variegata e completa. Una sicurezza per un soggiorno nel massimo comfort e pulizia.

I loved my stay here. Their biggest strength is by far their staff. I have read here that some people found them rude and obnoxious. That was NOT my experience at all. For me, they were helpful, kind and a good laugh. For a woman travelling on her own, that is honestly such as blessing. The social spaces were lovely, vibrant and welcoming. There were always people there, but until midnight or so, never over crowded or felt like your were suffocating. Past that point, it was party time! They also had a roof terrace, which was a nice touch. I loved the key app, which gave you access to the entire building and room via your phone. It was super efficient and safe. You also didn’t need to worry about carrying around a key with you (or losing it!) The place was always clean - and I had no complaints about the showers. Never had to queue. Granted there was no hot water on 2/3 days but it was 35 degrees outside so didn’t mind too much. One thing that I would change is the beds. They were too small (I, at 5ft 7in/172cm was too tall) and they would creek and shake throughout the night. Overall though, would go back.

Our stay was good value for the price. The area is safe. The electrical outlets are adequate. Our balcony was a nice amenity, looking over a busy intersection that was very interesting to watch. The balcony door did insulate the room from street noise. The shower was compact. The bed mattress was flat. We arrived early at 8am. We telephoned from the street outside the location and were in the room by 10:30. The 2 hours waiting after a transatlantic flight were difficult, but that was our fault. Days before arrival, I sent messages through the ******* app and to the e-mail address listed on Google with no response. If you plan to arrive early you must have a communication response with Sansevero. Do not be like me and hope it will be available and open on an early arrival.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Pompeii ruins, its just a 15min walk to the entrance. We found the location via a sign next to a locked gate and phoned the owner who answered straight away with the code for the keys to enter. The rooms were located up a couple of flights of stairs in a building complex. As you enter through the hallway door there is a breakfast station comprising of jams, Nutella, packet cake, selection of teas including fruit tea, a fruit bowl and fresh croissants which are delivered in the mornings and were absolutely delicious. Also a coffee machine for expresso, a water dispenser and fridge with fruit juice and milk as well as cereal dispensers containing corn flakes. The room was so lovely, very contemporary and clean, everything looked new, we had a family room with a huge king sized bed and a double sofa bed, all with crisp clean sheets. Great lighting options and blackout blinds, there was air conditioning but we didn't need it. Beautifully decorated bathroom with large walk in shower, shampoo/conditioner and body wash were available, and good lighting over the mirror. Great new hairdryer too! Was lovely sitting on the balcony before going out in the evening, it gets the sun all day. When we asked if we could store our luggage on our check out day the owner was very kind and said it was fine to leave it all there for the day as no one else was due to arrive in that room, this was very much appreciated as we were visiting the ruins for 5 hours before departing for Naples. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The hotel was gorgeous and located in Sorrento with a beautiful view, totally worth the value for the night. My only suggestion is the pool to be open until a later time, and to offer lunch and dinner and not just breakfast. The reception personnel including the manager were very rude. I went to ask a question and the manager replied: ”only if it's one question because I'm very busy.” Every time I had a question I was made feel as if I was being a nag which I was not.
