El Oceano Beach Hotel Adults Only Recommended

I have had the worst experience at this hotel. I had 3 rooms that all needed to be cleaned before I could settle in. The service is absolutely trash, I’ve never had staff be as rude and unprofessional than this hotel. I’ve had 3 employees roll their eyes at me. They have not shown any concern for my simple requests and have made me feel as if I’m not worthy. The rooms were disgusting, I’m talking hair(private area) left on the toilet seat and sink in 2 of the rooms, drink rings left on all table surfaces. It still looks like nothing had been dusted in well over a month. Finger prints and grime covered everything. The base boards literally made me gag. The beds all needed new clean sheets because of hair, stains, dust. I just checked and there is still hair that is not mine in the sheets. The mattress are springs that basically poke through. The sliding balcony doors do not lock, which is a basic security people should be able to have. They do not provide ice for the rooms. I’m so dissatisfied with a place that supposedly a nice hotel, but it truly is not. I’ve had better rooms at Motel 8’s. They can’t handle the simplest of tasks. I asked for new towels 2 hours ago, still no sign of them. I have pics of everything to prove my point and concerns. I’m not the only one either, all the trips I’ve had to make to the front desk, there is always someone else making some sort of complaint. I also have never had to make so many trips to the front desk of a hotel before. They don’t leave any info on how to contact the front desk from your room. Update, I have been puking and crapping my brains out all night because food poisoning at the hotels buffet restaurant. I went down at 1am for water because they won’t bring you water. I have now not slept all night and am completely dehydrated n cant move more than 3 feet with crapping myself, so I call n beg for some simple water to brought up and was shot down immediately. This hotel doesn’t give a flying F about their guests.

A really great luxury hotel which is privately run. The restaurant is fabulous in terms of location (you overlook the beach) and food is superb. The pool area is amazing, swimming up to get your cocktails is great abd book the VIP beds to get the best views ! Not a cheap hotel by any means but everything is catered for - you can’t get a better experience than El Oceana!

Lovely staff, relaxing and a brilliant day weather wise....as it seems to be every day....family time so important....thanks to you all for my break away. Lunch was great and the club sandwich was a struggle size wise but I managed it....no surprises.

Myself and my now wife stayed at El Oceano for a week in September 2024 during which we had our wedding ceremony at the hotel. The planning process for the wedding was made very straightforward by the hotel who provided recommended suppliers for each aspect of the day and then collaborated with each to make the day run smoothly. The ceremony and day itself exceeded any expectations we had and we had the best day of our lives. Special thanks to manager Veronika who was our point of contact during the planning process and wedding itself. Veronika was wonderful to deal with and couldn’t have done more for us during both planning and our stay at the hotel. We took the opportunity to stay at the hotel for a week in the Cosmopolitan Suite. This room is stunning and really made our stay and wedding week feel special. The service levels from all staff, especially those at the pool bar, is what really sets this hotel apart and keeps us coming back. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any more highly, a fantastic experience and memories for life.

We just loved this small hotel with great ambiance, staff, location and food. The restaurant with the sea-view is truly amazing. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. We had a penthouse suite as we stayed and celebrated our wedding with 70 guests here. Bar and restaurant staff are all so polite and glad. Feels like you are coming home every time.

Wonderful El Oceano !! We came with friends as they had been before on holiday and said if we fancied going book straight away as it books up very quickly, so we booked up 11 months in advance. The staff work very hard and are very professional from the time you arrive nothing is too much trouble to make your holiday special. Prianca and Juan work the restaurant with ease and professionalism and all the staff to name a few Carlos,Yeli,Jose,Simon,Soufian are always attentive and professional. Not forgetting the pool staff Adrian and Marcello thank you for making our friends birthday a very special one you are all very professional and nothing was too much trouble remembering drink requests and they make a mean cocktail. If you are thinking of going which I highly recommend book as soon as you can and also book the Sunday brunch aswell as the food is of a very high standard and the live entertainment is fantastic. Thank you to John the owner and his management team as you have got this hotel spot on with beautiful rooms fantastic food and wonderful staff. Unfortunately, since our arrival, our experience has fallen short of expectations in several ways. Upon check-in, we were not provided with any essential information regarding the amenities, such as the pool or beach access. Additionally, on the evening of our arrival, we ordered food. Regrettably, we were overcharged for this meal, something we only noticed the following day. Next morning, we had breakfast consisting of one scrambled egg with toast and one poached egg. However, we were charged for a full continental breakfast, which does not reflect the meal we ordered. Moreover, the conduct of staff has been concerning. Throughout our stay, they have been rude, unhelpful, and at times, belittling, which has further diminished our experience. We were also not informed about a wedding event taking place today, which caused significant inconvenience. The event was held in the main area, where we were attempting to relax, and we had to walk through the wedding party to access the pool, which was highly uncomfortable. We made a complaint via email to the hotel unfortunately we were told we should have came in person, we were abused as to why we didn’t come in person and instead sent an email. No apologies was received we were charged full price for our stay and the told people make mistakes and this issue was not he hotels fault. Horrible to make a complaint in person for it not to be accepted and then be abused. We are deeply disappointed by the overall experience so far, especially given that we are only on our third night of a week-long stay. We had expected much better service, and it is disheartening to be faced with such a situation on what was meant to be a relaxing holiday.

Service was excellent , food is amazing from breakfast through to dinner . Staff very attentive and extremely nice . Pool staff were very smiley and couldn’t do enough for you . All staff were excellent that’s hard to come by at hotels . Liked our suite . Sunbeds were hugely comfy .

Second year for Xmas. Five courses, I went for traditional turkey for my main. Each course just got better. All food served beautifully, think master chef. Room filled with tables ranging from couples to tables of 10 plus. Each table served with the same efficiency and flawless flow. Glasses always filled, plates removed when finished. It was like watching a well oiled machine. We had Jose, Sarah and Sofien serving us watched over by Simon. All the staff were lovely and could not have been more helpful. View from table absolutely stunning. Have already booked for New Years Day and will be booking again for next year. Highly recommend.
