I was a bit conflicted about what rating to give because every staff member I met at the hotel was so friendly and helpful. Service from the front desk to bar to breakfast was all excellent. The location is great and the lake and golf courser are beautiful - would love to see it when it is a lot warmer! Parts of the hotel are updated but other areas still need to be updated. The elevators definitely need refreshing. I stayed in two different rooms (checked out and ended up staying another night unexpectedly) and had two different experiences. The first night, I was on the 6th floor with a lake view - room was updated and very clean. The second night, I was put on the 8th floor (concierge floor) and was unimpressed. It started out with an old microwave sitting in the middle of the office desk - pretty sure it didn't normally belong there. After I moved it to a different location, I noticed there was coffee spilled all over the desk that hadn't been cleaned. I probably should have changed rooms at this point, but didn't. Bed and bathroom were clean, except there was no shampoo and the soap dish hadn't been cleaned. Carpet was new but looked like it had not been vacuumed. The room had one of those connecting doors to the adjacent rooms and it must have been very thin - the guy next door wasn't loud but I could easily hear his TV and phone calls. Concierge lounge was open for snacks and drinks. Gym was large and nice equipment but very cold.

I stayed here 7 days, it made me felt like a home. Everything is good. Nice stuff and clean area. It’s very convenient to go everywhere. Nice coffee room but I wish when I come back next time the hotel could provide breakfast.

Excellent friendly staff!

We were in town for a Michigan football game in Ann Arbor. I expected a clean, no-frills experience as I’ve typically had at other Quality Inn locations. Alas, it was not to be. The room was not clean at all. There was trash on the floor and in the refrigerator, plastic wrappers from something. The toilet was really gross and had a black mold ring as if it hadn’t been scrubbed in some time. A child’s jacket was left in the hanger area. I just hope the bedding was clean. The woman that checked us in was very nice but forgot to return my ID. I would’ve expected her to try and get in touch with me but instead, I had to call several times from the road after we left. The first several times, the phone rang and rang with no answer. Thankfully, I did get it back the next day.

We made a last minute call for a room and talked with Elaine, she saved the last king bed. We were surprised with the people and cleanliness, especially with the price. It doesn’t have all the amenities but it’s clean and friendly. The morning people were just as friendly. We would stay again.
