Hotel berhampiran Monumento a Carlo Porta, Milan

Here is my story with this hotel. I booked a double room in the address show on google. When me and my boyfriend arrived the hotel, we were led to a completely different seperate building which is 300 metres far away from the hotel. When I showed my confirmation letter, hotel tried to claim I booked seperate building but I DID NOT. The guy in the reception came up with a solution and offered a tiny single room (attached) to us which was completely unacceptable. He said he will refund the money. I did not get any money back, neither I stayed in the hotel. I would not recommend anyone experiencing this. I am still trying to get a refund. Hotel was not helpful on this matter. There are much better options and metro goes nearly everywhere in Milan!

We were very specific about where we want to stay in this trip. Near to the train station was a major consideration and we like that this hotel is so near to Milan Centrale. The location was really easy to find 2 wheels bike to cycle to almost anywhere we want in the city centre. By the end of the trip, we wanted Asian food, and we managed to find some good Asian place to eat where is near the hotel.

What a great hostel, I’ve stopped at many hostels in my time but this was very much one of the better ones. I can only comment on our private room however. Friendly welcome, easy enough check in even though we arrived at 2am due to cancelled trains, not a problem! Great bar and area, things always happening. We saw a live jazz band in there for the one night we were there. Pub crawls, city tours for free, speed dating have it all. Our room was great, clean and comfortable. It was quite loud during the night, noisy neighbours (not the hostels fault) and a weird kind of opening of vents or something from the aircon possibly. Couldn’t put my finger on it but maybe worth looking at. Thankyou to the team!

I really enjoyed my stay here and the front desk staffs are super helpful. I also requested to change my room as I didn’t like the toilet as they first provided me a room with a disable toilet, and when I asked to change, they immediately changed it for me. Location was super convenient as well, the Metro was just 3mins away, and there’s supermarkets and shopping mall 5-8mins away, all walking distance🥰 The only thing that I didn’t like and it should have been better is the dinner; I ordered salmon with mashed potatoes, and I was surprised when it arrived on my table…it looked like it was frozen and that it just came out of the microwave…

I only stay for 1 night, but the room is clean, the view is great (my room is on 9th floor), and everything is like in the pictures. The hotel is reasonably close to metro station, I don't need to go into the city center so it's not a problem. Overall good experience.

Stayed here for the second tine. Great place, very quiet. Not in the center but you can easily get to all the attractions by Metro or train. Super prompt check-in. The room was spacious, nice modern design.

Wszystko przebiegło pomyślnie. Hotel jest jednak oddalony od centrum mediolanu i aby tam dojechać zajmuje to około godziny komunikacja miejska (3 przesiadki autobusem). Pracownicy bardzo mili, pomocni, ze znajomością języka angielskiego. W hotelu czysto.

Ho soggiornato con moglie e figlio sedicenne Mi è piaciuta la gestione, l'attenzione alle aspettative del cliente Arriviamo alla reception e c'è Jean, carino e professionale, che ci spiega tutto Minibar in camera compreso nel prezzo (mai visto prima) WiFi gratuito in tutte le stanze Camera funzionale, pulita e moderna (peccato ci fossero 3 letti singoli e non un singolo e un matrimoniale, ma forse è perché non l'ho chiesto in fase di prenotazione e in hotel non sono veggenti) Ciabattine, vari prodotti da bagno, grande doccia moderna Colazione a buffet molto varia inclusa Parcheggio coperto incluso (in inverno non ti trovi i vetri brinati al mattino) Carino il laghetto di fronte all'hotel Posizione un po' defilata, se non hai la macchina si è un po' isolati, ma lo si vede in fase di prenotazione perciò lo si sa prima di prenotare Assolutamente consigliato

Difficult to find the entrance Very mediocre breakfast Rooms need makeover Although my voucher stated checkout between 10:00 - 10:30 I was not able to enter my room anymore at 10:00 when I came back from breakfast and had to go to reception together the card activated again

The hotel staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. They did omit to notify us about the early breakfast they offer upon check-in, so make sure you ask about this if you have an early flight. They do also let you take drinks from the bar up to your room. Location and Travel Be aware of how far away the hotel is from Milan. From Duomo, you'll need to get on the red line (M1) towards RHO and get off at Lampugnano. The last bus from Lampugnano leaves at 20:00 back to Lainate. You will then need to get the 617 bus which drops you off outside Lidl and Maccies near the hotel. This is obviously not ideal if you want to spend the evening in Milan. We arrived during a national taxi strike which made the trip much more stressful. While this is not the hotel's fault, a heads up from the hotel would have been nice about traveling to and from Milan central. We were stranded in Milan on the first day, we called the hotel and they told us to try and get an Uber. The uber was 144 euros which we reluctantly paid. The car never showed up so we called back the hotel and they stopped answering our phone calls. Once we finally arrived at the hotel, feeling confident we knew the route to and from the hotel, we double-checked with the hotel, and unfortunately, we were not made aware of when the last bus is. On our second day, we were stranded in Milan again. Luckily we met two other people at the last subway station who had also done the Wowcher holiday and they managed to get in touch with the hotel to arrange a private taxi back to the hotel. As there was a strike going on at the time, the fare was 55 euros from Rho subway station to the hotel, which is roughly a 10/15 minute drive. Again this is not the hotel's fault but it is something to be aware of. Another thing to be aware of when using the subway is that the tickets are only valid for 90 minutes, and there are plain-clothed officers waiting in the subway stations to catch people out. So make sure you always have a ticket with enough time left on it to get all the way back to the hotel. Breakfast We were allocated this Hotel from Wowcher, and we were told to pay £40 for the bed and breakfast, which was fine until we realised we couldn't get breakfast on the 2nd day as we had to leave the hotel at 4 am. Essentially meaning we paid £40 for one breakfast between the two of us. We have had no joy in getting a refund for the second day's breakfast from the hotel which is the primary reason for leaving a review. The hotel in my opinion is perfect for people who do not want to spend evenings in Milan or who have a car. If neither of these applies to you, I would highly recommend looking for a hotel closer to the center of Milan.
