Hotel berhampiran Kalamos Beach, Milos

This is the 14th time I have stayed at Ippocampos. The location just outside of the bustling center of Adamas is central to exploring the island without necessarily having to rent a car. The host family is simply wonderful and caters to your every need. The rooms and surroundings are kept immaculately clean, the view from my balcony is heavenly, and the local beach is close by. And not least the recent addition of a central breakfast buffet is amazing! My advice is to plan for more that just a couple of days here. Milos is a fascinating island, so give yourself time here instead of just saying ”hello” and ”goodby” and hopping away to another island. You will not regret it!

My partner and I were on an island hopping holiday in Greece and decided to base ourselves in Adamas in Milos for 4 nights We were very lucky to find the Melagrana We arrived by ferry and it was a 5 minute walk from the Port to this lovely peaceful guest house .The rooms are modern,spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean with light airy bathrooms and good air conditioning and wifi. We had a lovely spacious secluded terrace The staff are really helpful and friendly and gave us great recommendations of things to do and places to visit Although breakfast is available we found an excellent bakers just across the road There are several car hire companies nearby too There are beach towels in the room and parasols are available at reception which are great for visits to the beaches We really enjoyed our stay here

This hotel is located in a quiet area of Pollonia, but only a 5-minute to the ”center” of the town where all the restaurants are. It is managed by a family along with the Soultana rooms in the same complex. The breakfast area faces the sea, as well as several rooms. There is a private beach with lounge chairs. The rooms are simple but well appointed, clean and modern. But what I enjoyed the most was the relaxed approach of the staff. If you need something, they are very happy to assist. Unlike what I experienced in Santorini, no one hassle you to rent a car or book a tour. The brochures are there for you to take if you need them and for me it's an appropriate approach. Milos has nice sand beaches and the bus system is well organized. I finally found a mailbox by the tourist office at the port in Adamas, there was none to be seen in Pollonia. In short, an excellent place for a stay that can be as relaxed or busy as you wish.

I am so happy we chose to stay at Perla for our honeymoon. Dimitri was a kind, generous, accommodating host and always made himself available to ensure we had the best stay possible. My husband was sick at the beginning of our trip and he even went out of his way to go to the pharmacy to pick up some medicine. Additionally, the room was beautiful, exactly as photographed and perfectly situated next to town but secluded. We had an amazing view of this little cove next to the suite that was ideal for swimming in crystal clear water. We also took advantage of the breakfast brought to our room. 10/10!!!

What is not to love about this family run boutique hotel. Firstly, that view upon arrival - quite exquisite. High up and overlooking the bluest of blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Secondly, the very warm welcome by Spiros. This is a gem of a place. Not only are the rooms spacious and clean - with a lovely area outside to sit and enjoy a glass of wine - but everyone is so friendly and accommodating to every need and request. We visited close to the end of a 3 week holiday on the islands of Milos and Sifnos - and I have to say that the evening meal we had in the restaurant here was one of the best we had during our whole holiday. We have to make a special mention of Vassiliki (hope I have spelt your name correctly) who was excellent in serving breakfasts, restaurant meals, coffee, cocktails - in fact everything associated with food and drink. We really appreciated her sense of humour and service with a smile :) The hotel is well situated - a 15-20 minute walk into Apollonia for catching buses to places on the island. In particular it is well worth checking out Kastro - an historic township steeped in history. Spiros will advise on places to visit. A highlight for us was being there on a Sunday and having the opportunity to try the famous Sifnos Chickpea Soup - absolutely delicious. But then, all the food here was delicious. A big thank you to you all for making our stay a very memorable one. And for Spiros driving us down to the port to get the ferry when we left. Very much appreciated. We will be back and cannot rate highly enough the warmth you all extended to us during our stay. A very well deserved 5 stars given. Damyn & Noel :)
