Panselinos Hotel

Lovely hotel, with friendly helpful staff. Great pool with wonderful views, lovely view from our room balcony too. Really loved the food, and breakfast included in our package was plentiful and catered for everyone. Quiet place not surrounded by other hotels, great bus service from hotel to Molyvos the local town. Rooms are basic but cleaned daily. Mattresses very comfy. Will definately return.

A tad late with this review, sorry. We decided to sneak an extra week away after being home from our annual visit to Molyvos and thought “why not?’ Soma last minute booking we got the last 2 seats on the plane. Me half way down and the better half at the front! It was interesting to go at a different time than normal and put faces to many names of folk who comment on the Facebook groups. Last drop off by the coach but we were met and shown to our room by a very professional and polite young lady (alas, I can’t recall her name) a quick unpack and straight to the bar where the staff greeted us like old friends. Lovely. Talking of old friends it was hilarious to see people who assumed we’d left not to return until 2024! The pool is massive and we always got sun beds. Breakfast was worth getting up for. A minibus ran to the village each night - once as we were the only passengers the driver went and got his own car “faster and easier” Our room was great. Plenty of space and was cleaned every day. A few times we got back late to the hotel to find the bar still open…win, win! We’d highly recommend the Panselinos and wouldn’t hesitate in going back.

We were originally due to travel to Rhodes but the holiday was cancelled due to the wildfires. We were limited work wise in terms of dates we could travel and Lesvos was one of the only places available. We had a great time overall but probably wouldn’t return here as a family. The views are outstanding- pool looks lovely on an evening and it’s close to a pebbly beach. There are a number of beach options nearby - the beach at Eftalou (15 min walk) is great - free beds/towels if you purchase drinks and snacks from the beach bar! Petra and Anaxos are a bus/taxi away. The hotel offers a lovely breakfast .The rooms are basic! They are clean tho and we had our towels/bed linen changed regularly. The bathroom is a wet room - the shower is right next to the toilet (no shower curtain). The bathroom is treacherous when someone has a shower. Be careful with small children. The hotel offers a free minibus shuttle to Molivos at various points in the day. Without this I think you would feel very isolated if you didn’t have a hire car. You can get a taxi obviously but sometimes the waits for these were long. Molivos is beautiful and we had many lovely evenings here. In summary I would say this is a bit out of the way here for families- it’s definitely more of a couples place. We made it work for us and had a great time but a lot of families were struggling with the location. For info this is not a buggy friendly place. There are no pavements and Molivos has steep cobbled streets! We are past the buggy stage so we were fine but please bear this in mind! The staff are lovely - very friendly and do their best to help!

The bar and pool are lovely. Had our dinner here once food was great. Our room was 539 one of the appertments right at the back. Sadly the cleaning let it down . Cleaning was missed once. Towels were changed every 2 sometimes 3 days. Bedding was not changed at all. When I asked at reception for towel's I was told there were none. Ants in the room. The rooms are dated. But for me the cleaning let it down

We spent 2 weeks in the Panselinos Apartments in Eftalou, just outside Molyvos in Lesvos. Firstv2 weeks if September. Weather lovely. Still hot but not too hot to do anything. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. Free air conditioning is good. We were offered to swap our first floor apartment for a ground floor one , which we were grateful for because of the steps to the first floor. The apartment is self catering but don't expect much to be provided. Only one saucepan plus a little hot water boiling pan. No kettle, no frying pan. 2 electric rings. Very few items of crockery or cutlery. Just about enough for 2 people in an emergency! We bought anything we needed. The owner said afterwards a frying pan could have been provided even though our really great cleaner told us they weren't provided. The cleaner was lovely. She cleaned every day. The breakfast was included and was good. Lots of choice. I preferred to make my own tea in the room though and ate my breakfast there. The water wasn't really hot enough for tea in the machine at the buffet counter. The guests were from loads of different countries , which we loved. Mostly Germans. Dutch and Danes. Also lots of Greek guests. Hardly any British people there. English was spoken , but usually by the other guests when speaking to the staff because it was the universal language everyone understands. The pool area was nice. There's a bar serving food. A bbq on Sundays. We rarely ate there because we prefer to eat in lots of places in various resorts. There's a small mini market on site but it was poorly stocked and closed. A sign said if you needed anything they would open it for you specifically. You need a car if you stay here. It's a few minutes drive away from Molyvos. There's a free shuttle bus a few times a day provided by the accommodation and a local bus stop outside the apartment but these only take you to Molyvos and the local area. A little road train shuttles back and forth between Molyvos Harbour and Petra. There's a little beach and one taverna a few minutes walk away from the accommodation but not much else nearby. The hot springs are not far away. The Golden Beach taverna is lovely. Again only a few minutes drive away. Or a decent walk if you don't have transport. We really enjoyed our stay. No complaints. We had a view of the sea from our balcony. Very quiet. Lovely staff. A wonderful holiday.

Just back from a 10 day stay at this excellent hotel just outside of Molyvos. As others have said, if you want luxury then this isn't your hotel but if you want value for money, good service and a stress free holiday then this is a great option. Our apartment was spacious with plenty of room for all of us and very comfy beds as well as a nice balcony. The salt water pool is large and there are plenty of sunbeds. The bar area is nice and the drinks and food are reasonably priced. We found the staff very friendly and keen to resolve any minor issues quickly and efficiently. The breakfasts were continental with plenty of options and fresh. The Greek yogurt was particularly delicious. The complimentary mini bus service into Molyvos was excellent and we made use of it most nights to visit this beautiful resort where there was a superb choice of restaurants, tavernas and shops. All in all, The Pamselinos Hotel was a great find and we thoroughly enjoyed out time there.
