The location was good, as it was very close to the bus stop and convenience store. Unfortunately not very close to the beach. But the tricycle ride is about 15 minutes to get there. The pool was amazing and we enjoyed the slides and having facilities for children. The breakfast was not good and extremely basic. Our room was spacious but the water heater was hidden under the sink, and we had to endure cold showers until we complained and they showed us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Considering the overall price, you get what you pay for, with a little extra. Would recommend for a 1-2 night stay, but not longer.

I loved how warm and their staff is. It's the perfect resort for a mix of rest, relaxation and adventure altogether. They have a game room. Perfect for barkadas or for siblings or colleagues who checks in at the resort. I was greeted with warms smiles when I arrived. Check-in process was smooth. Check-out process is a bit long though. The room I stayed in is their Tour room. It was clean. I loved my bed and pillows. Aircon, hot and cold shower, TV were working. I like that there are many outlets inside the room and that I could get refillable water at the lobby. My room has a terrace but the view of this particular room wasn't nice but it's okay. They have toiletries and towels. The only missing though is conditioner. Soap is too small over a day's use. Shower area doesn't have a cover so water splashes onto the outside tiles. During my return, I stayed in their villa room, there was no light outside the door so it was challenging to open at night. Villa room is nice too - it has bigger TV, a purifier and a small ref, which I didn't have in their Tour room. Bathroom needs provision for hanging towel near the shower area. No space to put our other toiletries. There was only a space for soap, so we had to put it on the tiles on the side. Regarding amenities, we like that the pool temperature is warm. However, the pool ladder is loose, which can be scary to use. I like that we can use their snorkeling equipment for free and the clear kayak boat is free too for 15 minutes. There's no beach front, as in sand on the beach for you to stay at. Just stairs directly to the water. Our comment regarding the restaurant, the spaghetti was soaky, wonton soup was bland and no fish options on the menu. But some of their food are okay. I hope instead of instant coffee, I can have the option to choose drip coffee or have more decent options in coffee (I was sad about it, as someone who's particular with her coffee). Hope they will have espresso-based coffee or at least brewed coffee available instead of just instant coffee. Internet connection is okay, it might not be quite fast enough for video meetings. I was advised DITO and Globe signal are good in the resort. But maybe it was only just inside my room. I haven't checked the internet speed outside. There's live band after/during dinner time. The group who sang on our stay on the 29th wasn't so good but the one weekend prior was great. During my return, they prepared a small welcome back surprise for me. I felt so special. I really appreciated it. You can also request for them to prepare a small surprise for couples (ie., anniversary). The staff remembers returning guest too! I was also surprised to receive a returning guest voucher (free 1 whole pizza and a pitcher of iced tea - can only be claimed within my stay). The sunset in Pescadores is beautiful too! We enjoyed our weeklong stay at the Blue Orchid including diving with Jeff, the hardest working Dive Master in the Moalboal area (maybe the Philippines)! The grounds are fabulous with vegetation creating an almost jungle like atmosphere and living up to its name with various orchids growing throughout the resort. If you like a quiet resort away from everything, then this place is for you, and we enjoyed a relaxing stay after the hectic island of Malapascua. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which is quite large with three separate areas, the bedroom, the TV room, and the upper patio. The bedroom is the only air-conditioned room as the TV room and patio are open air. Our goal was no TV for our month-long vacation in the Philippines, so we really did not use this room. The upper patio has fantastic views of the Tanon Straight separating Cebu from Negros and we enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets from this area. We loved the food and ate here for all meals except one. Michael, the owner, and staff were very friendly and helpful which added to the relaxed atmosphere of this resort. Michael even helped us out with my wife’s illness and demonstrated what a dedicated and compassionate manager he is. Thanks again from Kristi and Brian!!

We enjoyed our stay and diving at Turtle Bay Dive Resort very much. Although it was fully booked during our stay, we didn’t feel crowded, and no services were compromised. All the staff were helpful and friendly. For example, Dennis, the instructor, happened to guide all of our dives, and the manager took care of details before we even asked. It's worth paying extra to get away from the noise and crowds. The ocean view, fresh air, tranquility, good services, and convenience of diving made our trip much more remarkable. We've been diving in the Philippines for over a decade in several spots. It's our second time in Moalboal. Turtle Bay Dive Resort and Moalboal are at the top of our list. Thank you!

Excellent dive center with the most competent and service-minded dive instructors/masters, even for advanced technical diving. The guides know every secret hideaway for shrimps, scorpionfish as well moray eels. The center has perhaps the quietest and biggest dive boat in Moalboal, which can hold 20-some divers for two dives and even has a toilet (Philippine standard). This gives you plenty of space to move around since we were never close to full. The house reef is a great spot! The resort is very functional and of a good standard and clean. Really nice pool area, great AC in the rooms, and the sea rooms give you a spectacular view of the sunset with a cold one from the fridge next to you. Not the fastest but nicest bar and restaurant staff. Overall good food with some delicious favorites (spring rolls, chicken noodles, and hot gambas). Kasai Village Dive Resort comes with my highest recommendations! (We were a group of nine Swedish divers staying for 11 nights).

Our stay at the Wild Orchid was wonderful. We spent 2 nights and would have stayed an extra night if it wasn’t because we were on a tight schedule. We had our meals at the hotel and everything was delicious. We absolutely loved the vanilla ice cream shake and really enjoyed the chicken Schnitzel after diving. The hotel organized the diving for us. Cristina was our master dive and she was very patient and animated. Totally recommend her for first divers! We loved the sunsets from the hotel beach. View from the room was also stunning. Cristina helped us organized taxis and transfer to Panglao. Very family vibe!!
