Excellent stay at this charming hotel. The food was innovative and exceptional quality. A cosy dining room on a cold weekend was complimented by friendly staff. Very good value for money too.

On a driving holiday, number one need is a secure car park. Which this hotel has. Then good food which this hotel has via its Le Patio restaurant. And of course, the room. Ours was in a separate block adjacent to the reception block. Very spacious and clean although toilet was quirky shall we say. But that is what you get if you want to stay in a period property in the centre of a lovely town. Would stay again.

This a cute, traditional French logos hotel the furniture is dated and the building is very old. However the town is as pretty as a picture and the hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. There are 2 car charging points, but they are a tight squeeze. There is a lovely bar/ lounge area with a pool table that kept our teenager entertained. The real star of this place is the restaurant and its staff. The food is amazing, beautifully presented and delicious! The waiting staff were helpful friendly and efficient. I didn’t meet any of the kitchen staff, but I can confidently say they are highly skilled. I would definitely visit again, absolutely try the prawn mille-feuille, sounds odd, tastes amazing!!!! They were also dog friendly in rooms, bar and restaurant.

We only stayed here one night but would definitely recommend it. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, excellent safe parking available (10€) and the room extremely spacious and comfortable. The bar and restaurant were equally welcoming and the food delicious

My husband has wanted to stay here for some time but this was the first time that our route allowed it. We were made very welcome by the young man on reception. Unfortunately the dining experience wasn’t quite what we had hoped for. The food was was good but the atmosphere was frantic! Normally dining in France is a relaxed enjoyable experience but this was not the case, we felt exhausted. The lady in charge was like a whirl wind rushing around.

The Logis Hotel Hauts de Montreuil is easy to find on the Main Street. The hotel’s private parking is at the back and accessed via the hotel courtyard once you’ve secured a gate zapper. Our room (no 15) was smart and comfortable but I must say that the en-suite is very cramped and the space between the sink and the shower cubicle is so narrow that I doubt that a large person could comfortably sit on the toilet seat that’s positioned there. We were fine by the way although I did tend to bang my elbow on the sink while trying to reach the toilet roll on the shelf above me (there’s not enough room to fit a toilet roll holder). The breakfast is served in a nice room and the buffet is very good, with the option of some scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage as a pleasant change from the ubiquitous processed ham and cheese. All in all this is a decent hotel in a convenient location and we would use it again.

We stayed a week in the hotel and by the end were treated as old friends! The comfortable accommodation is not particularly cutting edge but has French charm, The service is friendly. helpful and generally efficient, The hotel has an excellent location both in the charming town and for the amenities of the region. There is a very good restaurant (reviewed separately). There is nothing to criticise and we would certainly stay here again.

We stayed four nights and used it as a base for exploring the coastline including Le Touquet and Boulogne and the history of the area. We had a superior room which had a lovely view of the courtyard. The room was large with a huge comfortable bed and the bathroom had a lovely walk in shower . We did not have the breakfast as there was a Carrefour express round the corner and a bakery at the end of the square. We ate once in the restaurant which has a fixed price currently 42 euros for three courses and the food was lovely . Drinks are a little expensive so check the prices , there is also a nice bar and courtyard to sit in. The car park is quite small so book in advance . Staff were very friendly so we really enjoyed our staff.

We have just returned home after a few days spent at Les Hauts de Montreuil, a very old hotel in the centre of Montreuil What an oasis of good food, good wine and excellent service. Our room was 19, a comfortable superior room. We had parking in a secure car park and at 11pm the hotel securely locked up all the high gates so there was no concerns. The owner was lovely and the waiting staff couldn’t have done any more. We cannot wait until we come back again. It won’t be long. Thank you very much Lynne and Nigel Stevens
