Hotel Teluk Mossel dengan Bar

This was a perfect stopover as we started driving the Garden Route . Choose a sea facing room for a beautiful ocean view and sunset . Room is comfortable ( bed and duvet very good) , but a few things need attention ( hairdryer old and sticky 🤢, bath plug not working , bright light on air con lighting up room ) . But all fairly minor . Breakfast was ok ( buffet style but a little tired ) . We were asked 4 times for room number ?! Reception staff were very helpful . We walked a few minutes to the wharf for a seafood dinner on the water - basic but fun and the sunset spectacular . Having driven around Mossel Bay , I think this is the best option if you’re looking for a great location , view and comfortable stay .

This is the cutest place ever! From the moment we were welcomed by Sino we immediately felt at home. We had a special honeymoon decoration in our room which made our stay special! I have to mention Sino again because she made our short stay so memorable, my husband wanted to watch the Liverpool match and she made sure this was all set up for him and kept checking back on the score making us both laugh. Her friendliness, warmth and hardworking nature shone through. Thank you Lewis, Sino and to all the staff I wasn’t able to get names of. I can’t wait for visit again one day!

My unit was very spacious, beautifully decorated, with everything that I needed. Lorette and the staff were all super helpful and professional. This establishment is on my list to return to. It has a great location at the top of the town with views of the harbour. Close proximity to the town, restaurants and beach with lots of options. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Very neat. Reception area furniture has been upgraded. Staff at both Reception, restaurants and housekeeping are all helpful. Took long walks from diaz beach to hartenbos beach . Both in the morning and evening. It's peaceful with beautiful sunrise and sunsets. All the units face the ocean. All rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. Adiswa in housekeeping ,Brandon at reception and all the staff at breakfast were all accommodating and blended my daughter's vegan ingredients for smoothie. Thank you guys.stay awesome and may you all have a fabulous 2025 ahead.

A mixed experience for us during our 3 nights/2 day stay at Gondwana. Safari 5/5 we saw everything and our ranger Greg was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and keen for us to get the best experience. Drinks on the evening safari was a very special event and our group was really lovely and good fun. Lodge 3/5 was not a 5 star luxury lodge, the room lacked amenities eg conditioner, vanity kit, shower cap, room service, minibar, laundry. Room was not made up one day at all. We were in the room when they came, asked the to come back in 30 mins - never returned. Service and food 2/5. Food was really quite awful. Breakfast was okay but buffet was so basic. Evening meal, some of the dishes were quite unpleasant stuffed Chicken was inedible, first night we sat for 25 minutes and had to go and find someone to take our order. Spa was great and we had a lovely Swedish massage. Have no idea who the Manger was which you normally get introduced to at such establishments. The water situation is ridiculous. Water is scare as we know however it also a necessity. You pay for water with breakfast, get tiny bottles once a day comp in the room and water is more expensive than Coke. I’m not sure given the price point with other offerings we would recommend.

We visited Botlierskop as day visitors to do a safari from horseback, and it was simply the most amazing thing I have ever done from the back of a horse. We did the 3.5 hour outride with our fantastic guide Victor. Both my husband and i are experienced riders, and if you are considering doing this, be honest about your riding skills. You will ride, at pace, over some steep terrain, on fast, fit, fearless little horses. But the best part of this is that you will get heartstoppingly close to some of the largest wild animals on the planet. Rhino, elephant, giraffe, antelope, everything except lions! It was thrilling. Your pictures will tell a story that you will carry for the rest of your life! This was a unique experience and I'm grateful to Victor for his knowledge in keeping us safe around these magnificent wild animals.

I booked because of the novelty of the train and as a shoestring traveller the single compartments are quite reasonably priced if you are looking for a private space but fine with shared bathrooms. Very clean, tons of staff on site all day. Train is quite old and therefore quite tired. Compartnents rock back and forth as people walk down the aisle to their rooms and like a train you can hear through to your neighbours (phone notifications buzzing etc). Included breakfast and coffee was not to my taste but saves you from walking the 15 minutes into town. No wifi in the rooms.
