Hotel is clean and nice. Customer service needs improvement. The deal says it includes breakfast but upon checking in there is none.

This is a very fine motel - it provides a spotless room, free parking, and no pet fee - for a very reasonable price. Based on this great first experience, I will always try to find a Red Roof Inn when I am on the road.

We happened to visit Monterey during the Monterey Jazz Festival and it seemed every room in town was booked and commeasurately elevated in price, because you know... they can. We compromised and wanted just a clean, conveniently located place to stay which was not shockingly gougey. So I will say that the America's Best Value Presidents Inn was all that. So it gets a recommendation. However, we are seasoned Monterey visitors, having stayed at dozens of hotel properties in the greater Monterey region. So I base my review on what I know is out there from high luxury to budget to fleabag. The property is old and the motel design is 70ish. Cleanliness was reasonable though worn in appearance. Rooms were decently sized and appointed with flatscreen, refrigerator, coffee maker, hardryer, bathtub, ironing board, patio screen door, a standing fan, and a heater. There was retrofitted keycard doors and security window bolts. Ice and guest laundry was available. WIFI was good. The location on Munras Avenue was great, near the highway access, shopping, and attractions. Free parking was right in front of the room. What was not available was air conditioning, swimming pool, and breakfast, to be fair, it was stated up front. The room we had was very dark. We needed a light near the desk. Also, the heater unit was constantly on in idle mode (and we thought the weather was warm/humid). Probably initiated because of Corona but an increasingly common practice for hotels as a cost saving measure is housekeeping only on request. All of these are not really complaints but statements of facts. Overall, we got basically what we bargained for and expected. Hassle free. No frills.

The place was very clean. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that breakfast is not available until 8 am. We needed to leave early and couldn’t wait . It was disappointing. But overall it’s good!

MMichael HThis is a super hotel. Very helpful staff who gave us tips on restaurants and activities. We arrived after a few hours driving as part of our California road trip - weather was super warm and so handy that the hotel has a swimming pool (medium / small in size) The walk to Fisherman's wharf is approximately 20 minutes - beach 10/15 minutes. Rooms are reasonable in size and the hotel is quite modern and very clean. Coffee available in reception. Plenty of parking is available on site. I would definitely return to this hotel again.

PPengguna TetamuThey only got 3 stars for service only because my son had forgot the room number when he went to get pizza it was our first day at that hotel . So he went upfront to get the room number and lady at front desk held him there and finally called my room and she said I couldn’t have anyone there that my booking was for one person which it wasn’t I asked her where my son and car were because now she has held him up so long I’m 25 min late for work she says she wasn’t gonna tell me which I was like *** ? So I went down there showed her my reservation that had two guests. I told her I had to go I was now late for work and she continued to try to hold me up I told her I would come by in morning after work she proceeds to tell me that she was gonna call cops on me for what I do not know but that my boss had to call in 30 min or she was calling the law . I told her that she was in the wrong not I or my son . My son tells me that she told him that she doesn’t rent to …. Pause looks him up and down and tells him people like u . Still I do not know what she meant by that he is a 21 year old kid he is white and has long hair so I’m not sure what she was referring to by that . What is people like my son white ? Cause he has long hair ? Not too sure but that was bothersome to me she said that .. But what I can say is that the owner or manager he called my son to apologize and told him she went to far it was for security purposes her not telling him what room but she took it too far and he made it right . It was a nice room big and very clean from the outside I they look a lil old but it’s surprisingly newly remodeled and spacious rooms

CCompass55734561174We felt lucky to find 3 queen beds in one room and the room was clean and comfy, but the motel is old, the toilet got stopped (we did use a plunger successfully), and no maintenance staff was on site during the weekend. Glad to find a full fridge in the room, microwave, ample towels. But for the exorbitant rate we were charged (almost $800 for 2 nights) we will find another place next time.

Bilik tidak terlalu besar, tetapi sangat bersih dan kemas. Kedua-dua peti sejuk dan ketuhar gelombang mikro disediakan. Sarapan pagi dihentikan kerana wabak itu. Menginap di sini selepas berjalan sejauh 17 batu dan Carmel di Lebuhraya California 1 jauh lebih murah daripada Carmel! mengesyorkan!

SScenic52548875624We booked this hotel at the last minute to get out of a bad hotel we were in. When we arrived we were tired and hungry. The clerk was so nice and welcoming. After checking in, she let me know there is hot coffee, cocoa, or tea in the lobby. They also have a cooler with a few quick frozen meals, soup, snacks and drinks. After we settled in & went swimming, I got a few things to eat for our room. The pool was beautiful and clean. The room was clean, and we were shocked at the size of the fridge! Not the typical mini size! The place was quiet, the grounds were well kept and clean! We will probably not stay anywhere else but here on our next trip. Thank you!

CConnector16821240191So this is one of those small Indian places where the owner has renovated an old nasty motel. I'm pretty sure all of the photos here are from before the remodel. The remodeling work is nothing spectacular, but it's a whole new color scheme and surfaces are clean and in very good shape. Unfortunately this place still has pretty small rooms. The parking lot is a little awkward and there are now outside areas at all to enjoy -- not even a park bench. The first time I stayed I was pleasantly suprised - really liked the brand-new bathroom finishes and fridge....especially for the price ! Second time I was really disappointed in a less-than-adequate bathroom cleaning job and maybe not the best bedding. So...I dunno...overall, they deserve way way more than the two stars they're showing here. I wouldn't take a date or family here, but for the low-budget traveler, it's ok for a short stay. Close walk to a 7-11 and a few other restaurants. NOT a close walk to beach or anything else. I'm gonna give this an extra star in order to off-set the out-dated and unfair previous reviews.

We stayed here for five nights and found it to be comfortable and well equipped apart from no coffee machine, which was a disappointment. You could get coffee from the reception but it was too strong and there was no way to make tea! Luckily we had a travel kettle with us so could make our own! Our first room was near the road and noisy but we were able to change after the first night. Unfortunately we chose this inn as it had a pool but this had been closed for several months for a refurb and during our stay no work took place! This was not conveyed to us when booking. It was a 30minute pleasant walk into the town. And there was a shopping centre over the road. If you stay here do try the next door Vietnamese restaurant, excelled food and reasonably priced.
