Driving up to the parking lot, we saw the cute, little hold-out nestled in between the newer bee-hive type hotels. The Nordic Inn sign is a precious call back to the 70’s, as is the rest of the inn. Not to say that it is run down. It isn’t. The lobby has the comfort of leathery chairs and warm woods. A jar of cookies at the ready and welcoming folks behind the desk make you feel at home.
The breakfast area is well stocked, but small. The four tables always seem to be enough space for eating and casual conversation.
The room was extremely clean and kept with the throw-back vibe. It’s not fancy, just low-key. The entrance is from the outside and you use an actual key to lock the door! The beds are very comfortable. The shower handle was tough to pull out, and the temperature would vary a little. While serviceable, that would be where I’d invest renovation resources.
Overall, it was a fun, welcoming, chill, nostalgic, pleasant place to stay just nine minutes walking distance from the slopes.
