Ryokan Sanga is an absolute gem - an authentic, boutique ryokan in the woods along the river. The grounds are gorgeous, with beautiful details everywhere. I was very grateful that Ryokan Sanga accepts solo travellers - as many ryokan don’t, or else they charge you for two. I had a perfect solo travel experience. Here’s what you should know: Access: Ryokan Sanga is ~2km outside of the town centre of Kurokawa Onsen. I didn’t have a car, and I didn’t regret that at all. Ryokan Sanga sent a driver to pick me up from the bus stop, and since I arrived several hours before check-in, he dropped me off in the little town of Kurokawa Onsen and took my bags to the ryokan. He then picked me up before checkin, and when we arrived, my bags were in my room. The ryokan offers free shuttles to town or to other Onsen if you are doing the Nyuto Tegata (Onsen hopping pass). After checkout, they dropped me off in town, and then picked me up with my suitcase later that day and took me to the bus stop. The service was beyond amazing. Room: I booked a Standard room for one night. It had no Onsen and no shower (just a toilet and sink). There was also a closet and a kitchenette area. Ukata, socks and slippers are provided. You can hear the roar of the river and waterfall, which turned out to be perfect white noise for sleeping. Onsen: When I checked in I booked the private outdoor Onsen for the evening and the following morning (no extra charge). Bookings are for 50mins and there are washing facilities, a sink and hairdryer. The outdoor Onsen is beautiful- it is right beside the river with waterfalls (see pics). Meals: I booked the last meal times which were 7pm for dinner and 8:30am for breakfast - the food was amazing; the dinner was one of my most memorable in my travels to Japan. See sample menu. I cannot recommend Ryokan Sanga highly enough!

예전에 버스투어에서 구로가와에 들렸었는데 너무 좋았던 기억이 있어서, 이번 여행에서 날씨예보로 비가 많이 온다는 소식을 듣고 일정을 구로가와로 갑자기 잡게 되었습니다! 하루 전이라 남은 숙박업소가 거의 없어서 혼자 숙박하기에 가성비 좋은 곳이 여기여서 우연하게 급하게 잡은 곳이었습니다! 시간날때마다 일본 온천여행을 즐겨서 유후인, 벳부, 히타, 타케오, 우레시노, 사가,구마모토 등 도장깨기 식으로 숙박을 하고 있는데 갑자기 잡은 여행은 탁월한 선택이었습니다! 우선 버스터미널에서 내려서 걸어갔었는데 짐이 많은 저를 친절하게 환영해주시고 반겨주시고 짐도 나눠주셔서 너무 감사해서 작은 선물도 드렸었는데, 아기자기하면서 신경쓴 많은 소품들과 곳곳에 놓아둔 예쁜 센터피스의 꽃들로 정겹고 힐링이 되었습니다! (구글지도상 걸어서 15분이라고 했는데 도로따라 가니 계속 내리막길이라 캐리어 끌고 가기 어렵지않고, 10분정도의 느낌이었습니다!마을 안쪽으로 들어 오면 급경사로 올라가야하니 도로따라 써클로 내려오셔야 오기 쉬워요! 물론 송영버스 신청하면 원하는 시간에 해주셔서 하카타 갈때는 송영버스 이용했는데 정류장 앞에 바로 내려주셔서 너무 편하고 좋았어요) 사진상으로는 다다미방이 작아보였는데 예상외로 크고 공간활용도 잘되어있고, 다다미 관리도 잘되어 있어 비오는데도 냄새없이 쾌적했습니다! 갑자기 예약한 방이라 흡연실 밖에 없어서 예약하고 걱정했는데 담배 냄새도 전혀 안나고 밖에 트인 풍경뷰와 베란다 아래로 보이는 마을 상점가가 정겨웠습니다! 웰컴티인 그린티도 깊고 깔끔한 맛이 나고, 떡도 많이 달지 않고 쫄깃해서 제 입맛에 잘 맞았습니다! 욕장은 제가 숙박한 날에는 2자리가 있는 목조 샤워시설에 노천탕이었는데 아기자기하고 소품도 놓여져있고 나무와 돌이 어우러진 모습에 힐링이 되었고, 무엇보다 유황냄새가 강해서 아소산과 근접한곳이여서 그럴지도 모르나, 더욱 천연온천 느낌이 나고 매끈하고 해독되는 느낌이 있어 좋았습니다! 노천탕이 너무 예뻤으나 사진 촬영이 불가해서 가는 길만 찍었는데 가는길도 아기자기하고 너무 이뻤어요! 작지만 1명이상 겹치지 않았고 서로 배려하며 이용해서 인지 거의 겹치지 않아 3번이용했는데 두번은 혼자 이용했어요! 무엇보다도 이 호텔을 추천하는 이유는 가이세끼가 너무 맛있어요! 많은곳에서 먹었었는데 넘버1~2정도 될것 같아요! 찬이나 에피타이저가 입맛에 안맞는곳도 많았는데 유자 식전주를 비롯해 에피타이저 본식 디저트 모두 가격대비 기대 이상이었습니다! 소고기 덮밥도 부들부들하고 와사비와 계란과 소스의 궁합이 정말 좋았어요! 디저트 떡과 과일도 달고 맛있었어요! 다음날 아침도 한상가득 너무 행복하고 맛있었답니다! 밖으로 보이는 풍경과 함께 힐링되는 식사시간이었어요! 영어로 열심히 설명해주시고, 얼음물이 필요하다고 하니 큰 병으로 방에 올려다 주시고, 송영버스 예약도 도와주신 예쁘고 귀여우신 영어 잘하시는 직원분 다시한번 감사드립니다! 숙박을 하니 여유롭게 마을을 돌아볼수 있고, 우산길 야경도 구경할수 있고, 온천도 원없이 할수 있어 행복한 시간이었습니다! 한가지 아쉬움이 있다면 트립닷컴에 포함된 2식 디너는 소고기덮밥이 메인이었는데 다음번에는 구이세트로 꼭 먹어보고 싶네요^^ 숙소 온천이 너무 좋아서 다른곳 한곳만 더 가서, 도장 완성을 못해서 6개월 안에 또 들리겠습니다! 참 옷장에 넣어 놓으신 방향제 소품은 귀여움에 한번 놀라고, 포근하고 좋은 향에 또 한번 놀래서 료칸에서 팔면 꼭 구매하고 싶네요! 감사했습니다^^ 다음에 또 뵙겠습니다^^

除了貴，沒有任何缺點！一次極致的享受！ 酒店提供一泊二食，兩餐都特別美味，推薦！ 除了房間的私湯，還可以預約山頂的天空之湯和岩洞之湯，兩個都各有自己的特色。 溫泉小鎮逛起來也很有意思，一步一景~ 酒店服務體貼入微，離開的時候，還給我們準備了和牛漢堡，讓帶在路上吃。

This hotel is the best hotel that we stayed in on this trip . The onsen has an outdoor onsen that is truly beautiful overlooking the hills and valley of mount Aso. You need to walk about 50 m from the hotel to reach there . We had twin beds in the newly refurbished wing and everything was clean and new . Wifi was good . Temperature control good . Bathroom was adequately big with good water pressure . There was water dispenser and ice dispenser as well near the lifts . What made the stay special was the star gazing activity at night . Although we did not understand Japanese , the guide had a cool laser light that he pointed at the sky to point out the stars . We loved this activity . Food wise - lots of variety and very refined . Loved the delicious dinner and breakfast . What was lovely was the free flow of alcohol , juices and soft drinks throughout dinner . Will definitely stay here again .

非常不錯的温泉酒店，環境，料理都非常不錯很滿意

위치는 구로카와 온천마을에서 좀 떨어져서 송영서비스를 미제공하기에 택시를 별도 이용(요금 약 1200-1300엔)해야 하는 번거로움이 있어서 위치 점수는 좀 뺐습니다. 그러나 어마어마한 규모의 개인 노천탕과 빼어난 경관 등 온천시설은 너무 좋았어요. 가족단위로 가셔도 개인 노천탕 크기가 커서 전혀 무리 없이 쉬다 오실수 있을거에요

This is among one of the best ryokans that I have stayed in. It is in the middle of nowhere. We stayed there for two nights and the place makes you feel like you are in touch with nature. We have a raom with two double beds and the size was more than adequate Even a small tatami sitting area separate from the bedroom area. All modern conveniences are there with more than enough plugs and usb outlets. All the rooms are in separate cabins from each other with parking in front. We have our own onsen attached to the shower area. There is a public one within walking distance in the property. The dinner is outstanding. Since it is so isolated, don't bother to go elsewhere to look for restaurants. Just one word of warning, Do not try to find the place after dark even with GPS help. I will assure you that you will have tremendous difficulty and will miss the last turn to the property which is one mile in from a one lane road. My Toyota GPS cannot locate it. The google map does the job but they lead you through small one lane road just to save you a few kilometers.

素晴らしい宿でした。茅葺の離れで構成されており、室内は清潔で広い。風呂は硫黄臭が微かにする無色の温泉がふんだんに流れており、ベットはシーツや布団がパリッとしており気持ちがよかった、夕食は会席で美味しい。地元の特産が食べられた。露天風呂もよかったが姉妹館の山みず木のほうが見事であった。残念なのは従業員の中でぶっきらぼうで笑顔の無いかたが少しいた。帰りの見送りぐらいは欲しかった。

Personnel charmant, grande chambre dans un beau ryokan. Un grand onsen et 2 petits individuels. Très bon petit déjeuner. Situation idéale à côté de kurakowa onsen (village Edo), du point panoramique de Daikanbo et du mont Aso. Excellent rapport qualité-prix.
