The hotel is very well designed and it offers you every comfort that you need. The rooms are spacious and with great interiors, comfortable beds and all you can need for trip. The pool terrace is great to chill out with variety of drinks and cocktails, and the views are the best parts. You feel like you are watching a post card. The pool is not a big one, you barely get to swim around, and it is more to chill down and relax. The coffee and snack bar downstairs offers nice breakfast. It is a bit far away from the main attractions and events, so you better plan to catch some taxi or a public bus.

Inhawi is chock-full of digital nomads and students; what this means is that there are a LOT of people staying here long-term, which in turn means that it has a kind of small community / uni atmosphere. The hostel itself is in a brilliant location; the building is beautiful, with big open spaces. It's also super clean and has a really nice kitchen with three (very full!) refrigerators where guests can store food. I would *very* highly recommend getting a room upstairs, as the kitchen / common area gets quite boisterous at night, with people staying up and drinking until the wee hours of the morning. Due to the acoustics, rooms which are right off of the common area are inundated with the laughter and talking of late-night partiers. With a friendly staff, great complimentary breakfast, and clean rooms (and smart layout), I'd stay here again... I would just choose a room which would allow for better sleep.

It was another and certainly not the last visit to the Grand Hotel Excelsior. I like returning there because I know I will be served there at the highest level. The entire staff deserves the highest marks. He is available, polite and always ready to help. I also appreciate the location of the hotel. Its location ensures excellent communication with the rest of the island (a central bus stop nearby) and access to the charms of Valetta and Floriana. Even though the façade, the outdoor swimming pool area and the bathrooms show signs of the passage of time and the need to refresh, I believe this hotel is an excellent place for business and tourist travellers to Malta.

Excellent place to stay in the heart of St. Julian’s. Had a very pleasant stay after a horrific experience in a nearby hotel (Carlton Hotel). Anna the receptionist was a wonderful person, I asked to see the room prior to booking it and she did plus all her help for me during my 4 days stay. The room was outstanding with a beautiful big balcony right on the bay with wonderful views. The room was well maintained and super clean with everything you can need. Large king bed with fluffy linen and good pillows. There was hair dryer and water heater, coffee & tea. Also a mini fridge and modern furniture. Bathroom was small but very clean and modern with no issues. Elevator is small but fairly new. Breakfast was also included. Palmena the manager was also very welcoming. Vishnu the male receptionist was very nice upon my checkout and held my bags as I was leaving town later in the day. Special thanks to Anna as she made sure everything was comfortable and that I’m happy with my stay. Definitely coming back and very highly recommended.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Un lugar muy confortable, puedes contar con todo lo que necesites para pasar unas buenas vacaciones, la.comida es buena y el servicio es genial, la limpieza está bien.

Struttura nuova nulla da ridire in merito. Servizio : frigo bar VUOTOOO nemmeno una bottiglia d’acqua, kit cortesia bagno inesistente ☹️ciabattine neanche a parlarne. Se rimangono con questa politica misero, dopo aver preso una Camera Superior vista mare e pagato un botto, mi aspettavo qualche servizio in più. Colazione ottima.

Staff are helpful, location is close to beach and Salt Pans. People relying on public transport needa be aware that buses are always coming late, a bit tricky to catch buses in Gozo. Anyhow, the hotel itself is fine, you may tell some areas are dated but you cant ask for too much with this price in this location.
