Tall Pines & Lake View. Perfect Location Ctr of Mdi! Close Trails. Local Owners

We couldn't have imagined a better set-up for our first time to visit and explore Acadia. We honestly felt like we won the lottery discovering in early to mid-June that this property had one magical week still open for this summer. Located in a quiet wooded area sitting just above Echo Lake, we loved being just 5-10 minutes from some incredible trails, and also just 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. We even found a little pull-over spot for swimming in Echo Lake less than a 3 minute drive from the house, which we visited multiple times during our stay. This was also one of the best stocked houses we've ever stayed in and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hosts also were thoughtful and responsive in answering some last minute questions that came up around what trails might be ideal for hiking with a 9 and 11 year old. Perhaps one of the things our kids love the most about our stay was the volume of deer we regularly got to see each day around the property - we learned a neighbor leaves out water bowls for the deer so they seem to frequent the neighborhood multiple times a day. We hope to be fortunate enough to come back some day!

An absolute gem of a property! Located in the quiet woods with great view of Lake Echo yet a quick drive to the major Acadia locations. We were able to get to all of our destinations and find parking without issue because of the accessibility. The home has everything a family needs to have a wonderful vacation, including a mini-trail my kids loved. The owners have one of the most insightful packets we’ve ever had that helped us find new things to do with our kids. We plan to stay here when we return to Acadia again someday.
