The check-in lobby is on the top floor while the lower lobby is only for drop-offs. Didn't expect anything because I ordered the lowest room, apparently at check-in I was told that my room was double-upgraded from superior (44 m2) to executive (81 m2). If the superior type is just an ordinary room without a pantry, the executive type has a complete kitchen and equipment. The room is very spacious consisting of 4 rooms, consist of the bedroom, bathroom, living and dining room, and kitchen. The rooms smells good and there is no damp smell at all. All equipment works fine For the living room there is a dining table equipped with 3 chairs, a long sofa and a small sofa with a large TV. The kitchen has a washing machine, oven, zinc, refrigerator, electric stove, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, rice cooker. Very complete and still looks all shiny. Tableware includes spoons, forks, chopsticks, knives, ladle, scissors, corkscrews, bowls, teapots, cething, plates, various glasses and mugs, pans. For bottled mineral water, 2 bottles of 600 ml are provided, coffee uses excelso coffee capsules, tea uses the Dilmah brand. Kitchen amenities are also very complete, namely sunlight and sponges, plus liquid soap is also provided for washing. So oakwood is perfect for those who long-stay or gather in parties with friends The bedroom is also quite spacious, equipped with a cupboard, desk, work desk and chair. Adequate sized TV with digital viewing and wifi also runs smoothly. There are also many room sockets so you don't get confused if you bring lots of electronic equipment. The soft mattress is great for sleeping with 4 regular pillows and 2 decorative pillows. For the anniversary set, they are given a large slice of cake with an art towel. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower and rain shower, closet and sink. Towels are provided 2 bath towels and hand towels. Complete amenities for Budi Jaya production. The bathtub has clear water and fills up quickly, anti-drama. Swimming pool, fitness and spa facilities are available on the F floor. The swimming pool is indoor and a bit dark, forget whether there is a children's pool or not. Complete fitness equipment, the brand is life fitness, each treadmill is also provided with its own TV. Breakfast at Oakwood starts at 06.00-10.00. The taste is quite suitable on my tongue and the variant are considered complete. Breakfast conditions are also crowded 1. Waffles and Pancakes 2. Stayed here for 1 night only. I got a superior room. It is very compact, although the amenities were all good, although it is standard amenities. The air conditioner is not cold, anyway it is good for me because i didn't like too cold either. I didn't try the breakfast, the committee which booked ny room made a mistake and order the room without breakfast. Although they correct their mistake later, I already ate my breakfast outside. This is a good hotel, however I cant believe that Mercure will provide such a budget style hotel. I thought that mercure will provide a decent full service hotel. Anyway. It is ok if only for an overnight stay like me

The hotel is nearby Airlangga University and Galaxy shopping mall. Next to the hotel have a cafe and in front of the hotel have a newly opened restaurant with very nice breakfast.

Stayed there for a couple of days with other relatives for a small family reunion. Hotel was nice, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Some little things that could have been improved is parking. Would be nice if staff informed incoming guests about the valet parking ahead of time, so we didn’t have to look for parking spot upon arrival. It’s time for your carpets to be steam-cleaned. Breakfast had many choices, coffee was very decent I had to get my second cup. Best part of the stay - friendly and accommodating staff, kudos to you all!!!

We had stayed at this hotel in a previous visit to Surabaya and for the low cost, found it extremely well presented, clean, comfortable and more than adequate for our requirements. This time we stopped at the hotel twice within the space of 3 weeks. Initially for 2 nights, then later for 8 nights. At this point I will not be staying there again. We made the mistake of prepaying for the entire 10 nights upfront, and when we spoke to the staff to express our issues and seek a refund to stay elsewhere , we were refused and only offered a credit. We did pay direct to the hotel and not a third party So on our initial 2 night stay, the room was very dirty. The floor had obviously not been properly cleaned in a long time. Hair, dust, trash and such, all over the floor. The bed linen was stained in many places, and was infact quite grey to look at. The towels in the bathroom were the same. Grey and threadbare. On the bathroom towels, we had registered as 3 guests, but were simply refused point blank when we asked for a third towel. Apparently their rule is two towels only per room regardless. So since we paid in advance, we were left to return for our next 8 night stay. Despite our hopes, nothing had improved this time around. Unfortunately they had gotten worse. The room was dirty, the linen terrible and grey and the bathroom was a disgrace. A mountain of mould, and a smell of stale urine that lingered from our first foot in the door, until we left. It was so bad, we had them do two extra cleans and even purchased our own air freshener. It was quite bad. The fan in the bathroom when turned on in unison with the light, made a noise something akin to a passenger jet taking off. Honestly, I can't see this hotel getting any better, and as I mentioned, I would never go back despite plans for any up coming visits to the city.
