Hotel di Munich

This hotel was in a great location right near the Marienplatz. The room was huge and it had a nice bathroom with a large shower. It is not modern in any way apart from the bathroom and the restaurant although that is part of it's charm. It is rather pricey for what you get, but part of that is because of it's excellent location. The breakfast was amazing, especially their staff (Ella?). A couple of small, odd things--if you take anything out of the buffet you were charged, and losing a room keycard would cost 25e--which seems excessive.

Just finished up a 5 night stay. Charming little place. We had a triple room and still enough space to move about. Ample closet for storage. Great shower! Fabulous breakfast buffet with cheese, meat, breads, loads of fruit and vegetables, eggs, cereal, croissant and sausage. Coffee could have been a bit stronger but that is a quibble. Great location — easy to walk to the old town highlights but on a quiet street so avoid the crazy. Lovely front desk staff, cleaning team, and wait staff. Not fancy/elegant. Highly recommend

Well, I didn't 'go' in October, but I tried to! I booked for one night through Booking.com, the hotel takes the money directly. The booking was confirmed by Booking.com having gone through the usual 2-factor Visa verification. The next day they emailed saying that the hotel had informed them my card was 'declined' and I needed to supply new card details. This worried me as I knew there the card was fine so I wasted an hour calling my bank - eventually I spoke to someone there who was able to tell me that the problem was that the hotel had tried to enter the details through a manual system, which does not meet the security requirements, and so the transaction could not be completed, my card was fine and had not been declined. I contacted the hotel by phone and told them this, they just said rudely that the problem was mine, and to change my card details at Booking.com or the booking would be cancelled. I did as asked, switching to Mastercard in the hope that the security issues would not be the same. All OK, till the following day when I was again informed that the card had been 'declined'. I contacted Booking.com as I was pretty cross by now, how can a hotel advertise on an on-line site if it can't process cards in the required way? The only suggestion was to try another card, but I don't have anything that's not MC or Visa, so I saw little point. The hotel then informed me my booking was cancelled. Now, I can't believe that this hotel is unable to process cards correctly, so what could the problem be? As I know my cards had ample credit, I'm left with 2 options, either they didn't like the implied ethnicity of my name, or they didn't like the price I got from Booking.com so didn't want to accept the booking. Either way, you can waste a great deal of time trying to book this hotel - and so I'd recommend against it. BTW, I travel frequently and have NEVER had a problem like this elsewhere.

Perfect for us in many ways! Great location right on the shopping streets, we were in the middle of action when we stepped out to the pedestrian zone. No need to commute to city center from far away. Boho chic- style design. Loved the use of different colors in different spaces and floors to create a special ambience across the small but cosy hotel. Rooms were small but comfy, and totally quiet. Not a single sound from eithet outside or from next door, which I really appreciated. There was a church right behind the hotel, but window closed you couln't hear the bells at all. Great A/C. Such peaceful and quiet nights spent in our lovely room sleeping like a baby. Great, thick curtains blocked out all the light, so it was dark, too. Perfect for a bad sleeper. Bathroom was neat and tidy and spacious enough for our needs. Everything was clean and spotless everywhere in the hotel- well done cleaning team! Breakfast was 19e. (not included in our price) and worth it! So fresh and delicious. Croissants, bread rolls, jam, cheese, fresh fruits, great quality tea in a cute pot, pancakes...service was good and the room beautiful. Good start for our busy days in town. Nice young staff at the reception very service-minded and friendly. Taxi drivers pick you up from the reception since they cannot drive there due to location on a pedestrian zone. Only negative things worth mentioning: -no tea making facilities in the rooms -pillows and duvets made of synthetic materials instead of feather and down -very poor water pressure in the shower (5th floor)

Kann die guten Bewertungen nur bestätigen, bin seit Jahren regelmäßig Gast des Hotels und habe mich immer sehr wohl gefühlt. Kenne hauptsächlich die Einzelzimmer, kenne keine gemütlicheren Einzelzimmer in Deutschland mit den Vertäfelungen und Regalen, in denen gescheite Literatur steht wie in der wunderbaren Bibliothek, keine in Metern gekaufte Bücherfassaden, wie man es sonst öfter erlebt.

Certain units have views of the garden. Every room has a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower. Extras include free toiletries and a hair dryer. Hofbräuhaus is 600 metres from domus Hotel, while Bavarian State Opera is 600 metres away. Munich Airport is 28 km from the property.

This review is far overdue, having stayed there last summer, but oh well. I am catching up on reviews now! My family (2 adults, 2 kids under 12) had planned to stay at Haus im Tal originally in July 2020, but then Covid hit. I'd booked a nonrefundable rate, but the hotel was kind enough to offer a travel voucher good until the end of 2021, so that we could come and stay another time. Unfortunately, we still didn't feel safe enough to travel in 2021, with unvaccinated kids, so they kindly extended it through 2022, which I thought was going above and beyond. We finally made in there in Aug 2022. We were able to drop our bags at the hotel while we waited for our room to be ready, Megan greeted us at the bar/restaurant/check-in desk on the top floor, and was just so kind and so welcoming to my family. She treated us to some amazing cappuccinos (so needed and appreciated after the long flight) and our kids to some juice. The rooftop is a lovely little calm place to hang out, and she said we were welcome to just stay there and wait for our room if we wanted to, but we decided to walk and explore a bit. The location of the hotel is truly excellent, near many different options for Munich's excellent public transportation system. (Even as first-timers to the city, we took the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, trams, and buses with no trouble. I highly recommend downloading the City Mapper app, as it is far superior to Google Maps and will guide you via public transportation better.) We spent our first few hours exploring Marienplatz, one of the cathedrals, and - our favorite - the Viktualienmarkt, or ”victual's market” which is just 5 min away by foot. There you will find very many food stands selling everything from fresh produce, to pastries and coffees, to meat sandwiches and brats, to beer, to honey, and so much more. It's a foodie's dream and should not be missed, as it's so fun to sample your way through and then end up at the shady beer garden. Our room was lovely, a bit spartan, but roomy, clean, and comfortable. We'd selected a Downtown Apartment because it could fit all 4 of us (a rarity in Europe; the kids slept on the pull-out sofa) and because it was brighter than the other dark-painted rooms the hotel offers. We took breakfast upstairs on a couple of the mornings, and although I thought it was a bit expensive at first, I ended up not minding once I tasted the food and enjoyed how high-quality everything was. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts that we've ever had, and a really lovely way to start those days. The staff at Haus im Tal were universally friendly and very helpful. It felt almost like a family-run business, and definitely went against the stereotypes we have of Germans being cold. Megan in particular was a stand-out, and we thank her for her hospitality. We would love to stay at HiT again in the future!

アクセスはとてもいいです。ホテルのすぐ隣にビーガン、ベジタリアンの美味しいハンバーガーがらあります。祝日でも営業していたので助かりました。朝ごはんはハムの種類が多く見てるだけでも楽しかったです。朝食会場はBGMが無くて、作業音、食器の音、金の音、鳥の声。とても穏やかな雰囲気で朝食を食べることができました。今回は1人で滞在したのですが、1人で宿泊にはぴったりのホテルでした。内装も可愛いです。また利用したいです。

Great location but overcharged us on checkout for breakfasts and refusing to reimburse. Apparently sitting in the breakfast room for five minutes before leaving the hotel = having a EUR14 breakfast. So make sure to avoid that room if you don’t want to be charged! Also if you’re booking a room for four the sofa bed for the third / fourth people are very uncomfortable and hard and on a slant. My boyfriend got a bad back in it the first night so we swapped then I had bruises on my hip from it the second night. Overall left a bad taste on our otherwise lovely visit to Munich.

A lovely hotel in a fantastic location. The air conditioning was the coldest we've had in Europe, and the bed and pillows were just right for an incredible night's sleep. In fact, we extended our stay because we just weren't ready to leave. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful; the hotel will definitely be our home away from home when we return to Munich.
