Perfect location centrally near the Main Railway Station and the old city centre. Hotel staff are friendly and very pleasant. Reception staff attentitive to your needs and helpful. Breakfast staff are warm and welcoming. Tasty choice of food too. Decent rooms. Cleaned well by cleaning staff. Highly recommend. Ive been twice already this year and a third already planned.

Friendly cozy hotel, good small breakfast, location kinda like you are in muslim country, I guess it was muslim area, close to main train stn but due to construction noisy and messy

We stayed at this hotel while attending Oktoberfest. It was a perfect location centrally located to the train, S bahn, and U bahn stations for easy access to anything around. We were able to walk to Oktoberfest easily but decided to take public transportation everywhere else even if it was just one stop since it was so easy. The staff were super nice and accommodating. When our air conditioner didn’t work, they immediately came to attempt to fix it and moved our rooms when they couldn’t with addition of free breakfast for the inconvenience. Room was small but just what we needed for our stay with an amazing shower. This is our second time staying at this hotel chain and first at this location and will look for this chain in the future for travels.

So my review is a mixed one, partly positive but deeply dampened by two factors: Firstly, Wombat’s has come to be known as one of if not the party hostel in Munich. That being said - there was no party/pub crawl! (Barring the first night of my stay). This was disappointing, but this was mitigated by the absolutely amazing hosts and guests that I encountered during my stay. I’ll add here that my room was spacious, had a comfy bed and had a great safety system in place for valuables. Now for the second bad bit and this is something I didn’t bring up with them directly as I didn’t want to cause the person I would speak to any distress, but this hostel clearly caters to racists. Above my shower room door (Room 304), there were racial slurs for a number of races and I found it disgusting. How are Black people, white people and Asians supposed to feel comfortable when this what they see in the bathroom? This has to be addressed swiftly or Wombat’s will suffer in the long run.

This hotel is in an excellent location, very spacious rooms, we have a group of 17. The free mini bar, replenished daily is a great bonus. Free coffee in reception also. Main train station literally 250 metres away. We didn’t choose to have the breakfast, as at €25 a day per person we were happy to have a coffee local to the hotel. We will come back to Munich, & wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Thomas on reception was outstanding

An un-planned two-night stay here, necessitated by the temporary failure of Lufthansa, was a pleasant experience as the hotel offered a large and comfortable room with great heating and good (if older) ensuite amenities. It doesn't look like 'posh' hotel, but it was comfortable and the location is great for the Hbf rail station -and for one of the nightlife areas. It isn't a long walk from the old town either. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.
