Very clean rooms and very comfortable with wonderful sea view. The staff was very polite. The hotel is modern and the decoration was fantastic. This is the second time that i visited penelope with my wife and after the renovation the hotel was beyond our expectations. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!!

The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful with local recommendations and assisted with transfers, reservations and other matters. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Drink and food options were perfect for our needs. A la Carter breakfast and coffee menu each morning were spot on.

I will start with the good things about this hotel. No brainer it's the staff. Our room was spotlessly clean every day by Dominica who was a ray of sunshine. Clean towels every day, bottled water and toiletries were replenished too. Our thanks go to Vivienne, Stephen and Dimitri who worked every day with smiles and couldn't do enough for you around the pool/ restaurant.The girls in reception were very friendly and helpful, although we thought on check out asking if we wanted to add a tip to our bill for the reception team was a bit much!! No, we tipped by cash to those who we felt deserved it. The pool is lovely, comfortable loungers but they get taken early so get down there. Also pool towels are available. Breakfast - nice choice, something for everyone, lovely coffee. On a previous review someone said no toaster...yes there is one now. Decent supermarket literally 2 minutes away and 2 decent restaurants, Philotimo and oregano. Lovely beach at Kalo Livadi about 15 minutes away. Sandy beach with clear water. You can sit anywhere on the public beach or pay a hefty charge for loungers but highly recommend. Mykonos town was lovely, good choice for shopping and restaurants/bars. Now not so good - location. The hotel is 50 metres from a very busy and dangerous T-junction. The road to the town is very steep and winding with no pavements. Don't be fooled into thinking you will be able to safely walk it in 10-15 minutes. The road is very busy. Forget attempting to walk back. Taxis are expensive minimum 45/50 euros each way to and from airport for a short journey. Huge tip download i-move Mykonos for the local Uber type app. We waited no more than 2 minutes every time. Drivers were great and better value. Just to be clear before we booked we knew the hotel was at the top of a hill but on reflection we weren't prepared for the high cost of transport to get about.The hotel is literally under the flight path out of the airport...very noisy at times.. last flight is after midnight. Constant flights all day. We thought the hotel restaurant prices were high (same as most in town) but portion size and quality good although menu doesn't change. Shame but the waiting staff some nights had not alot to do because the restaurant is expensive and lacks atmosphere because it is also the breakfast room and people just don't eat there because no effort is made to make it look like an evening venue - no change from breakfast and/or lunch. The bar is in the breakfast room too not very appealing to spend an evening there. Introduce happy hour do something!! Get some comfortable chairs!! Also this hotel is really not suitable for older children/teenagers as there is NOTHING for them here apart from the pool. Now to our first room. We loved our stay in this hotel! The staff were amazing. Special mention to Joseph the driver, alway happy, informative, a real asset to the hotel. Claudia In concierge was also superb, thank you. Pool staff very attentive as were restaurant staff. Hotel amenities were great although I would not call our bedroom 5 star, bathroom rather tired and in need of upgrade. Pool restaurant was good as was the main dining room, although I felt it was rather overpriced for what you got. One bug bear was if you ask for a single glass of red wine in the restaurant it arrives COLD! That’s a complete no no. Please do something about that. I know it’s minor but nothing worse than cold red wine! Thank you for our relaxing break. We loved it at St John. All in all a lovely hotel and I would not hesitate to come back.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Myconian. The staff are super friendly & welcoming. That makes the experience great! We stayed on the 4th floor. So a little stairs required to climb (if you have mobility challenges, please request for a floor that have direct lift access). The compound is beautiful! Especially the view from the balcony is really impressive. We got the room that gets to see the sunset by the sea. The room is clean. We bumped into the housekeeper & she really cleans (pull out all pillow case & blanket cover) everyday! They change the towels during the room clean up & sun down service. If you need a kettle, you have to request from the housekeeping. Water from tap is not drinkable. Only 2 bottles of water is provided per evening after 7pm. Otherwise, you have to use the mini bar or call for room service. Otherwise, it was a beautiful stay.

From the moment we got there to the moment we left, this was an absolutely exceptional experience. We spent 4 nights at the Amazon and lovely every second. The location was great for us and was in a quieter area in the west, which was nice to get away from the bustle of the main town and the beach clubs, but if you’re looking to be closer to those you may want to explore other hotels as it was a 15 minute ride into town and back and each ride was about 20-25 Euros. Even so, it was well worth it for us because everything about the hotel was superb. Major kudos to Chronis and the rest of the staff for their tremendous hospitality and assistance with arranging transfers and with reservations and recommendations. For room, we had the Eros suite which I very highly recommend if you can get it. Other rooms have a private pool also but ours was the only one that is heated. Also the room was very private and had gorgeous views of the sea and part of the island. The daily breakfast was also exceptional with numerous options to choose from. The pool area was also beautiful and essentially felt like being at a beach club but without the chaos. Overall we cannot say enough great things about Amazon and would definitely stay here again. I only wish we had more time there but alas we had to move on to Santorini. :)

This hotel was actually the former house of an Orthodox bishop and was reformed into a hotel (cool historical fact). While the hotel is quieter and the rooms a bit dated, the actual grounds are very beautiful. There is a cute patio area and a pool area that is lit up in the evening- definitely worth checking it out. We didn't venture here until our last night during our stay, and were sad we hadn't checked it out earlier. Location- Great & can't be beat. It is a 5 minute walk into Little Venice/party area. It is also a 5 minute walk to Ammos beach. Breakfast- a bit lacking. Had a few pastries, etc. We actually only made it here for our last morning of the trip. Service- great! Very helpful. Some tips/suggestions: - A taxi from here to the port is €20 (may be helpful to know) - There are cute cafes walking towards little Venice. We would get a frappe and spinach pie everyday for about €5. Suggestions for places to go in the area: - If you are going for nightlife, you NEED to check out Negrita. It is located on the seaside *****. The vibes were amazing, the bartenders were gorgeous, and it's just a total vibe if you are going for a good party. Nothing like being splashed by the Aegean sea while dancing with your friends to Mamma Mia. - Nice N Easy Restaurant- we went here twice. Once for a bottle of wine (around €30) and once for dinner. Overall, would stay at this hotel, mainly because of the great location!

Staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Every request we made was handled positively and efficiently. Chairs for our balcony, printing ferry passes, directions, suggestions, transfers to/from ferry dock, etc. Room was nicely cleaned every morning. Pool bartender was perfect, bringing towels, pointing out HH specials, setting us up with wine ice bucket and plastic wine glasses for our room, etc. Breakfast buffet was good with plenty of variety. We dined in the Restaurant one night and food was tasty, and waiter was smart, efficient, and attentive. The walk to/from town wasn’t that much of an issue, but make sure stairs to your room won’t be an issue because there can be many based on your room location. The hotel has several vertical levels. We really enjoyed our stay and do/can recommend this hotel, mainly because everyone was so service-oriented.

The only pity is we cannot award 6 stars. A truly exceptional experience & one which we’ll never forget. Every member of staff could not do enough to ensure that we had the best experience. From Maaike, Evi & Stamatis at reception to Minas, Vangelis, Ernie’s & all of the bar team, to the supremely talented Stelios & his kitchen team. We were fortunate enough to have the taster menu from the Ladyfinger restaurant which is one of the finest meals/food experiences we have ever enjoyed. We could not recommend staying here highly enough & cannot wait to return. A final thank you goes to Markos for wager he has created here - the attention to detail & ensuring you have the best experience is beyond compare.
