Hot spring Hotels in Nachikatsuura

Loved this hotel so much! There are 5 different onsens (including two amazing cave onsens) and a garden and a deck at level 30+ and restaurants, souvenir shops and a Lawsons in the hotel itself. The downside is that it is only reachable by a short boat ride on a very adorable turtle boat from 7 to 7 at certain intervals so you’ll need to time your itineraries very precisely. However, I did enjoy coming back earlier from a long day of hiking at Kumano Kodo and relaxing in the different onsens, which were a big highlight of my trip. Also make sure to dine at Ihura Sushi at Kii-Katsuura, which has amazing sushi.

In terms of location, he is on the side of the town, less than 10 minutes walk to the JR station/Kumano Kodo bus stop. Compared with Urashima and Nakanoshima Hotel, there is no need to wait for the boat to go back and forth, and travel is more free and convenient. Finally, we were assigned a room facing the sea on the 5th floor. From the balcony, you can overlook the fish port, the scenery 💯👍!
