Southwest Grand Hotel

The service was 100 percent the moment we alighted from the car. The location is great, super near the kousai st! I can't praise the interior enough. Whoever designed the room did a really great job, really love the space and the choice of appliances, even the cups!! Love every corner of the room. The only regret is not staying one more night! Highly recommend!!

This hotel might seem a lot more expensive than other Naha city hotels, but it worth every penny & being one of our best stay in Okinawa. The large room does feel like a suite with the comfy sofa area equipped with a giant TV. We also enjoyed the large modern bathroom. The room deco & amenities are all sophisticatedly design. The hotel dining is top notch, make sure you book with their breakfast please! It turns out to be one of our best hotel breakfast in Japan. Not only they offer chef menu of sashimi rice bowl, the quality of buffet options are crazy, honey dripping from actual honey comb, 3 options of miso from different origins to make your own soup, wide spread of veggies, breads & teas… we skipped lunch after. We also had birthday dinner in “The Long Vocation” restaurant and we were quite impressed by their food & drink and service. We stayed over typhoon, & we were very glad to have chosen to stay in Southwest Grand which offer late check out, indoor pool & good variety of food. The location is gold, the only little issue is they don’t have car park on site and the closest paid one requires 1-2 mins walk outdoor. It maybe a little hectic during some weather condition. Big shout out to the 2 lady staffs who help guests with luggages at the entrance frighting over strong wind & heavy rain, they were amazing! We missed our stay already and do hope to stay at this hotel again when we revisit Naha, hope to able to use their outdoor pool in a better weather. Overall highly highly recommended!

Location The hotel is conveniently situated on a side street just off the main road. It’s a quiet spot but offers easy access to nearby restaurants. Service Issues • Poor Communication: I arrived an hour before the 3:00 PM check-in time. While I understood that early check-in wasn't available, the staff directed me to a small, uncomfortable bench at entrance of restaurant to wait. It was pouring rain outside, and the seating was so poor I eventually chose to go out into the rain just to kill time. I later discovered a proper reception area with comfortable seating on the 11th floor—I wish the staff had directed me there instead of the hallway. • Misleading Incentives: The hotel provides an information card stating that guests receive a 1,000 credits for skipping room cleaning. I opted out twice during my first stay but never received the credit. When I returned for a second stay and inquired about it, the receptionist told me that since I had already checked out, there was "no proof" the room wasn't cleaned no credit can be provided. It’s small, but the lack of accountability felt deceptive. Room Quality On a positive note, the rooms are very spacious, which made the physical stay quite comfortable

Located in an alley right off Okinawa's Kokusai-dori, this hotel offers relatively large rooms and is one of the top five-star accommodations in that area. The rooms are very clean and the service is excellent. The hotel provides two type of parking; Parking directly adjacent to the hotel cost 1,600 yen per day, but if you are willing to walk for 5 minutes, parking is free. The breakfast was quite repetitive, with the same food served every day. We stayed for three nights, and for two of those days, the coffee machine was broken, so only basic coffee was provided. A five-star hotel should not have these issues. Additionally, the seafood bowl (Kaisendon) must be ordered separately as a special à la carte item.

The stay was amazing along with the service I stayed in the penthouse and 10/10 would stay again.

Delightful room - the room was spacious and bright, and the furniture was all warm burnished wood and mellow hues. Really enjoyed discovering the thoughtful amenities in the room (open the wardrobe for a nice surprise if you're into yoga or pilates) and the minibar / coffee corner was most fun. I had access to the club lounge and it was fun popping in and out throughout the day for refreshments. The pool and gym were really good for a much-needed workout and my fav part of the stay was the outdoor heated pool. Pro tip - go for a dip at night and gaze into the stars lit sky.

I feel incredibly lucky that I booked this hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and became a safe place for us to stay when Typhoon No. 6 hit Okinawa. Due to the severe weather, all nearby restaurants and even the hotel’s facilities were closed. Guests were advised to remain indoors for safety. Although it wasn’t the experience we had planned, we were grateful to have such a comfortable and spacious room where we could wait out the storm. The hotel provided us with peace of mind during an unexpected situation, and we’re thankful for the safe and comfortable stay.
