This hotel should be renamed Palace of Incompetence & Dilapidated Rooms. Pick up any service or aspect of running a hotel, and this place falls woefully short on providing that even at a basic level. Right from the location to the service to staff training, everything is below basic quality standards. I don't know on what basis this hotel claims a 4-star rating. It doesn't deserve even one star. The location of the hotel is horrible. We had a hard time finding the place especially because of incorrect directions being given to us by people on the way. We finally called the hotel and instead of one person giving us the directions, they kept passing the phone to one another. Finally someone came on the line, and instead of explaining the directions, he started telling us how to drive. 'Watch the oncoming traffic. Check the cars behind you, and take a u-turn if there is no car headed towards you. ' Like, seriously?! Did he think my dad drove all the way from Delhi blind-folded?! Unfortunately, we had trouble with our car too and it kept stalling on steep roads. Though this is no fault of the hotel, they could have helped us better with proper information like leaving our car in the municipal parking area that was very close to the hotel. With aged parents in the car, it was a huge risk to go up at that level of incline. When we were struggling with the final ascent on the approach road right outside the hotel, we requested this person who was on the phone with us and giving us driving instructions to send someone who knew how to drive the car up safely because we were clearly not able to do it. At one point, we almost feared for our lives as the car rolled back on the steep slope. But this person flatly refused and said he didn't have any driver. The ascent was so steep that we actually contemplated parking the car there itself and carrying all the luggage up by hand. Somehow, we were able to get the car uphill and reached the parking area of the hotel. We thanked our stars that we were all alive and no mishap had occurred. We immediately decided not to use our private vehicle for local travel and instead walk or use the cabs since that way my dad wouldn't have to maneuver the steep incline every time. As we entered the hotel, we expressed our concerns on how we would get back down etc. The person who had been giving us directions reassured us and said, ”I'll have someone drive it down for you.” I was dumbstruck at this response! Could he have not helped us get the car uphill too then? I was surprised at how quickly he agreed to help us later when his tone was so different on the phone. But that can also be ignored. After a long drive and the extremely stressful drive to the hotel, we were looking forward to relaxing in the room. But more shocks awaited us. To state that the room we were assigned was dirty, is putting it extremely mildly. We were shocked to see the physical condition of the room. Paint was cracking and peeling off on AL

The only pro of this hotel is its location everything else was poor to worst . The hotel is actually a villa turned hotel and the lake facing (2 people) rooms you get is actually old day servant quarters in the basement now force fitted into hotel rooms. The rooms are VERY VERY SMALL. The much advertised lakeview doesn't really help much, as keeping that window open also means everyone passing by the mall road has a direct view of your bed . The bathroom was too small again and worse it has no proper water drainage. Water logs everytime you have a shower and my wife slipped there and hurt herself. I spent there 3 days without any internet I.e. no wifi (as opposed to what was advertised), my mobile networks for airtel and jio doesn't work there either. No dry cleaning/laundry service as advertised. Compared to the price they charge (6K/day tax inclusive w/o breakfast) , this hotel was an absolute blunder of a choice. I believe most of the booking the hotel gets is through online portal (like I did). I really urge please visit this place on e before you spend your money here. Many other hotels in the mall road offers better views and amenities in lower/comparable price. Some I found myself while strolling the mall road. Had I not pre-paid my bill via online booking, I would have surely opted out from this one. EXTREMELY INCOVENIENT STAY.

Good service staff polite and respectful and amazing food. House keeping staff is excellent led by mr lakhan prasad. Breakfast buffet servea variety of great cuisine with restaurant staff pradeep and manoj bishtji...overall a great experience...

I recently stayed at the hotel silver palace in haldwani, uttarakhand, and had a comfortable experience. The hotel is conveniently located in the main market area, making it easy to access local shops, restaurants, and transportation. *pros* - central location in the heart of haldwani's main market - friendly and helpful hotel staff - clean and well-maintained rooms - good value for money *cons* - hotel rate are bit higher if they put some discount on next visit that will be best then *overall experience* my stay at hotel silver palace was pleasant, and i would recommend it to travelers looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in haldwani. The hotel's location and friendly staff made my visit enjoyable.
