Despite the remote location in a far corner of Kouri Island, this Villa is quite easily accessible, within walking distance to the landmark attraction Heart Rock on the Island. The openness of the Villa is unique, which may not be liked by those who require security and privacy. A dip in the jacuzzi on the terrace during the day is a highlight of our stay. We particularly enjoyed having all curtains opened so we could submerge ourselves in nature and looked at the vast blue sky of Okinawa in the sunny afternoon we luckily had during our stay in mid April.

Wood Pecker Nakijin is a lovely place. The hotel rooms was converted from old train compartments which made them so special. It was like staying in a real trailer! Free SPA is provided that adds a plus to it. Moreover, the beach is just behind the hotel, it takes only few minutes to walk there. One thing I believe Wood Pecker Nakijin needs to improve is the water temperature for shower. It was unstable during my whole stay there. P.S. Nakijin Castle Ruins is so close to the hotel, it takes only about 10 minutes for driving and within 30 minutes walking distance from Wood Pecker Nakijin. If you stay in Nakijin Village, make sure you go there, It is worth seeing!

코우리 대교가 정면으로 보이는 숙소 뷰가 정말 끝내줍니다... 저희는 어른 5, 아이 2 총 일곱명이었는데요 침대도 넉넉하구요 다다미방처럼 되있는 곳에서 아이들과 함께 잘 수도 있는 구조였어요. 침구류 깨끗하고 푹신하고 좋았습니다~ 12월이라 수영장 물은 많이 차가웠으나 이용할 만 했고 옆에 자쿠지가 있어서 왔다갔다 잘 놀았네요. 전기기구들은 다이슨제품으로 구비됐고 여러모로 진짜 신경 많이 쓴 리조트라는 생각이 들었습니다. 한 가지 아쉬웠던 점은 둘째 날 오전 12시 쯤 시작된 정전이 꽤 오래 복구되지 않았는데요. 잘 시간이라 정전된건 괜찮았는데 예비전력으로 켜져버린 거실, 방 형광등이 아예 꺼지지 않아서 불이 켜져 있는 채로 자야했다는거.. 안내가 없어서 쫌 답답했었어요. 아침되니 잘 복구가 되긴 했지만요. 그것 빼고는 가족 전원이 너무 좋았다고 입이 마르게 칭찬했던 숙소입니다. 정말 나중에 다시 방문하고 싶어요. 최고입니다.

This review is more of a customer service complaint. My husband had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital on Monday and our reservation was for Friday. It was abundantly clear we were not able to go, so contacted the hotel. I did not remember there was a week notice required for cancellation. When I explained the situation and asked if we could rebook I was met with an emphatic ”no”. This is a holiday weekend for both Japanese and Americans so I am reasonably certain they could have booked someone else with 5 days notice. I felt that they were cold and heartless and too rigid in enforcing this policy and unreasonable. Beware if you book here.

取匙的提示有點誤導，令人費解，浪費了時間向隔離住户救助，如能拍影片如何取匙較理想，影片可附上電郵以通知旅客，讓旅客明白，影片容易解說避免文字上的誤会，本身就是理解錯了信箱就是放匙的地方，明顯文字解說是不清楚，應附上影片。
