1.當天抵達的夜班同仁介紹房間及服務項目很仔細，但是日班就差一點點了，可能跟我們一樣剛睡起來，還在摸索人生，呵。
2.房間很大間，雙人床是兩張加大單人床合併的，但是只有一條棉被。
3.淋浴間有蒸氣浴，同時開啟蒸氣浴再洗澡，很特別的感受。
4.雙人浴缸是按摩浴缸，很舒適，能夠解決騎車環島的疲勞。
5.冷氣剛開啟時，不冷，但是到半夜就會很冷，冷到像冰箱冷凍櫃，建議不要因為一開始比較熱就開到太冷，晚上會被冷醒。
6.早餐很簡便，但是能夠滿足早上所需的營養。
7.附近離 “竹山土虱咖啡”（營業到晚上10點），很直接去品嚐咖啡和甜點，還有一隻可愛的喵喵會很有活力的跟客人打招呼喔！

位置不錯, 距離溪頭自然教育園區5分鐘車程, 停車方便。店內有電梯, 最意想不到的是房內有冷熱水機, 晚上泡茶泡麵都非常方便 (可惜只提供紙杯, 如果可以提供玻璃杯就更讚)。
房間景觀一般, 就是對著一堆樹和山沒有對著行車路而已, 但很安靜, 房間也算是乾淨。

周遭環境真的很棒！像在森林裡，訂了促銷的房間是兩張床本來很擔心單人床太小，結果是兩大床，房間還有個小小木製泡澡筒很舒適，飯店外面都是綠樹空氣很新鮮很棒，裡面的設施雖然簡單但該有都有，除了依規定不能有一次性的日用品，空間很大，3樓房間晨起陽光照入加上空氣新鮮真的好舒服！還附了兩客早餐，簡單吃，但都乾淨整潔就是很棒！

酒店雖是有超過三十年历史，但她的地理位置實在太好，離溪頭自然教育園區挺近，酒店有接駁車往返。飯店大堂寛敞華麗，惟餐厅和房间的陳設比较老舊，硬件算是一般。但酒店餐厅的服务人員及活動中心的職員都非常親切有禮，详细介绍酒店內的活動及附近的景点。如再往溪頭旅游，定再入住。

Superb cleanliness, respect! Exceptionally cosy room!
Service is mediocre... it's not clear how to check in or even how to get into the hostel if you don't have mobile network and you arrive in the evening. Very confusing. Some of the staff is not fluent in English or Chinese, so if you need advice (and if you don't arrive by car you very likely will need), you're in trouble again. No bike suitable for hills available for rent.
Anyway, very recommended if you arrive well prepared

We stayed one night at the Monster Village. There were shops and food stalls around the hotel rooms. The rooms were clean and we had a balcony on the second floor overseeing the village street. Our room booking included breakfast buffet 7 am - 9 am, typical ********* breakfast items like porridge and noodles. There were multiple live performances which was pretty entertaining, but most of the activities are geared towards younger kids my tweenagers. There is a specialty Nettles bread that everyone waited in line for a fresh batch. Overall it was a fun experience and good photo spot!

PPengguna TetamuLocation is super convenient, barely 50m from the 7-eleven and SML's Nantou Bus Ticketing counter where Nantou Bus 6670 from Taichung drop passengers. The ground floor of the B&B is a elegantly decorated tea-shop and had a pleasant whiff of red-dates chinese tea, very welcoming on a hot day. Our room was nicely renovated, very cosy and clean, well laid out, with Taiwan cable channels and Youtube smart TV box. It has modern toilet fittings and very refreshing lightly scented shampoo and body wash in dispensers. The lady at the counter (小芸) was absolutely helpful. She sold us discounted ferry tickets compared to buying from the counters at the pier, explained activities to do and places to visit and boat/bus routes around SML when we arrived and gave us a WhatsApp to contact her for any queries. She also advised us to visit Itashao to taste the street foods for lunch and recommend places for dinner through WhatsApp after returning to Shiushe without pushing us to visit the restaurants nor buy tea from the shop. Truly warm ********* hospitality and the best part of staying in this B&B.

The people were super friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was simply but yet amazing. I think it's a nice place to stay in while visiting Ren Ai(Cingjing).
We were also given a nice tea to settle it with also amazingly homemade cookies from the home owners!

KkohKengLocation: Excellent! It is located next to the ticketing office and hence, easier to buy boat ticket. We are lucky to get a complimentary upgrade to a four bedder and it faces the lake. It was beautiful. There are a lot of eateries and shops selling local delicacies so not too worry about meals.
Breakfast : at level 2. Breakfast is simple - serves toast and Chinese porridge with dishes
Hotel room: clean and neat. I love the hair conditioner !
Receptionist : polite and helpful
Would recommend this hotel for its superb location and convenience.

PPengguna TetamuEnjoyed my stay here. The service was extremely good, the reception very kindly recommended us places to visit. The hotel sells bicycle rental voucher with papago (bike rental shop) at a discounted price of NTD 100 for a full day rental (8am to 5pm) and also round trip boat ride tickets at NTD 250. Hotel rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast here starts at 8.30 to 9.30 and it was simple but good.
The hotel is about 6 minutes away from the bus terminal in Shuishe Visitor Centre. It's recommended to think twice before booking if you have too much luggage as you have to walk by the roadside (no pedestrian lane). Also, the hotel reception is located separately from the hotel so be prepared to walk about 3 minutes to your room. Note there's quite a steep slope here to the rooms and there are wooden planks you have to pull your bag over. The nearest 7 Eleven is also at the Visitor Centre so you have to walk out there.

PPengguna TetamuThe best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel.
The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests.
The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is located above the Sun Moon Lake. The view is fantastic. We booked one lake view room and one room facing the mountain. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is a bit old. The water pressure of the bathroom is very low, thus it took a long time to take a bath. The water pipe of the water basin is a bit long, it is easy to hurt your eyes if you were careless. The room lights are a bit dim while the sound of the air conditioning is quite noisy. Food varieties of breakfast is good but lack of staffs to refill the foods. You wouldn’t have much to eat if you come to breakfast lately say after 9.30am. The hotel has two car parking spaces. It is convenient and free of charge.

Room was as per advertised. Spacious enough for a family of 4.
Toothbrush, comb, shavers and towels are available too.
Staff was good and clear of information. Just be mindful that after 8pm onwards, there would be no staff around - so you would require to remember the password of the main entrance.
NOTE: There's no English T&Cs, so be prepared to have your Google translator on your phone if you can't read Chinese.
Constant hot water for shower would be from 5PM to 12PM daily. If you would to shower earlier in the morning, you would require let the water run for awhile before the hot water is available otherwise you may have to shower with icy cold water.
Generally, you would require a transport within Cingjing else it's not accessible for you to grab food or your necessities from the 7-11.
Breakfast is available at NT$200/pax from 7:30AM - 9AM. Brunch is available at ala carte prices ranging from NT$150 onwards from 9AM - 2PM. Restaurants are available within Cingjing if you have your own transportation. Otherwise, you may wish to call the cafe located at the Swiss Garden, they do offer food delivery but be sure to check on their operating hours. 😀

JJack Maa”For Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Await”
If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns.
On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system.
One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at Shuian Lakeside Hotel for 2 nights, and the hospitality throughout our stay was the best that I've ever experienced. Everyone at the hotel was amazing, most especially the owners. Mrs. Hwang, I believe is her name, was one of them, and she went above and beyond. She was very accommodating with our request to change our room when we first arrived. The next day, when she found out we were heading to Wenwu Temple, which would take 20 minutes by bus, she offered to drive us since she was heading that direction. Later that night, she and her husband took the time to help us figure out which early bus to take in order for us to make our connection to Taichung Station. When we asked where the bus stop was, she went a step further to show us by taking us there personally! The hotel's location was perfect — by the lake and in the center of everything. The room was new, clean and comfortable. And what a bonus, breakfast was included! I was very pleased with the breakfast, which consisted of porridge, eggs, vegetables and 6 other dishes. Bananas were also provided. It kept us full till late in the afternoon. I enjoyed staying in Ita Thao, and Mrs. Hwang definitely made it special and memorable. I appreciate her warmth and kindness. If you're looking for a good hotel and people, I definitely recommend Shuian Lakeside Hotel.
