If you like Japanese traditional house , here is what you are looking for

The hostel er meget hyggeligt og giver en rigtigt god japansk vibe, men der er ikke så mange toiletter eller brusere på stedet. God temperatur, gode senge, pænt og renligt, men der er ikke rigtigt nogle medarbejdere, da de måtte skære af siden corona, dog finder de nogle rigtig gode alternative løsninger. All in all, hvis du har tænkt dig at overnatte i Nara og gerne vil prøve noget lidt ekstra er dette et fedt sted.

Quite far from JR Station, walking along 20mins, location Naramachi feel quite.The hotel haven’t onsen anyway there’ve information in the room, walking 8 mins to local onsen a bit late close on 23.00.

For sure I will not recommend this hotel to stay. It is really cold in common space, shower, toilet, even in my room. When I arrived in the evening the temperature in my room was like almost the same as outside, my hands and nose was frozen. There was nobody in the hotel in the evening, so I send a message to hotel staff about this problem, but nobody answered me. Somehow I put hitting system working on, but still it was a cold air. So I had to go sleep in my hat till the middle of the night, when it became warm. The room and common space wasn’t so clean as I expected. The old house and small garden is really atmospheric. The location is also good and quiet. The price is low, but it shouldn’t be so cold.

Read this review carefully because it provides a very specific insight. Good things first. Very clean and amazing planning of the place. I loved the garden. Also, nice to have a well water spot with coffee and tea. You can leave your luggage at the counter and go walking till checking-in. I got 110 small dorm. Bedding was great. Each bed had a rest area for work. Bad things. I was given bed #1, which is near the door. At around 6AM two tenants from upstairs started going in and out non-stop. Hence, I had 0 sleep after 6 AM. Check-out is at 10:00, meaning I lost at least 2-3 hours of sleep. The door is very loud and the wall shook next to my bed. I don’t even mention that sound was also loud upstairs. The owners could oil the door parts and, for example, plan upstairs area better to reduce the noise. So, if you plan to come late and have good sleep this place and its dormitories is unlikely for you.

Super nice hostel and hotel in a traditional Japanese building. Very friendly host. Nice yard to chill. Dorm with bed and a chilling floor! Amazing!

Looking for accommodation in nara, I highly recommend this one This is the most Japanese style accommodation I have ever slept in in Japan There is a washing machine, cooking and a bathroom.

Very nice and clean place. It's an old traditional house. Close to convenience stores and not far from the station and the park. I stayed in the dorm and appreciated that over the bed there's a private resting area. Definitely recommended.

We were 6 friends group and we booked this place . Buy for us look scary .

It’s a really lovely old Japanese house, but it’s really not been made over into a guest house at all. 1. There are pictures of a bath. It is not in the hotel it is just a separate public bath you have to pay for… 2. They charge for everything including “renting” towels and yukata 3. No noise blocking at all and kids are allowed. It sounds like they are in your room 4. Contactless check in doesn’t feel very safe

Quaint and comfortable traditional Japanese inn. Most times we struggled to find anyone who worked there. Many systems in place to do things by yourself. Towels were an extra charge.

We really appreciated the stay at the old traditionnal timber house, everything is kept in its style. The lifestyle also is part of the house : everyone is playing the game, being very silent and respectful, sharing a very nice traditionnal kitchen. The house may miss one more shower but it still works. I totally recommand the experience !!
