The fitness gym was quite comprehensive The regular Room was already very big, comfy bed and clean! No upgrade this time since all rooms are fully booked - service! 100% good! One of the most friendly staff and quite a number overseas staff. - The hotel provide a shuttle bus to Nara station or Kintetsu Below content for those who has time to read To start, it was the first day of the dining experience at Azekura that got me to have not one but two dining occasions at the restaurant. Chef Wang Yu Wen not only delivered a gastronomic experience throughout my teppanyaki lunch course, but he also delivered a very personal one-one dining service experience. His culinary expertise was showcased in every dish despite my dietary restriction, every flavour simply delighted my palate. Kirito did an exceptional service by recommending a great local Nara sake to pair with my lunch course., The second day of Kaiseki was equally delightful and I was extremely surprised to be greeted by the 料理長, Mr Nobukazu Yoshida who honestly provided such an “Omotenashi” experience throughout my time at Azekura. Mr Okubo Ren and Ms Miyamae also delivered great service during my lunch dining on the second day. Overall, the dining experience at Azekura was the highlight of my stay and till now, I couldn’t help but marvel due to the great service that was initiated by Mr Wang Yu Wen. Additionally, I would like to commend the impeccable service I received during the check-in process. I I was impressed at Mr Kim’s patience and service throughout the check-in experience, and I was really glad to get a warm welcoming experience from both Mr Arjun and Ms Pitcha at the lobby. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate specific requests made a significant difference, setting the tone for an enjoyable and happy stay. It is evident that the team takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, the hospitality at the lounge was exemplary. Despite the huge crowd during the festive season, the lounge staff did create a comfortable and enjoyable one. おしゃれで奈良らしい和を感じさせるデザインでした。個人的に窓際のソファが使いやすく食事をしながらリラックスできました。泊まった部屋は25平米くらいでしたが、洗面台やクローゼットがオープンなので、体感的にはもっと広く感じます。ミラーから大浴場の混雑状況やルームサービスも注文できるので非常に便利 夕朝食ともに一階のポンテ奈良で利用しました。どちらもブッフェです。ディナーはひとつひとつがコースメニューで提供されるようなクオリティで美味しく満足。ピザ窯で調理した出来たてピザが3-4種類あります。パスタも複数種類あり飽きません。またレストラン空間そのものがとてもおしゃれ。様々なタイプの席があり、色々なシーンで利用してみたいです。 8階に宿泊者であればだれでも使えるルーフトップテラスがあります。夜がオススメです。奈良の夜景が一望でき、テーブル上の照明と相まって、とても良い雰囲気です。ロビーからあがってすぐの2階のラウンジは穴場。一人用ブースソファは背もたれが大きいので後ろからの視線が気にならないのでパソコン作業で集中できます。パワーボール（電源）もあります。フォンブース等、他にも仕事で使えそうな席が各所にあり、出張時の宿泊先としてもおすすめです！

Fantastic Hotel with a perfectly convenient location. The only thing is the bad attitude of a female manager at the front desk. We asked for more bottled water, but she refused. Refusing is OK, but she thought we didn't understand Japanese and said some bad words to us. Unfortunately, we are just not fluent in Japanese, but we can totally understand what she was saying. A pathetic woman manager ruined other staff's good service and hard work.

Very nice hotel，but service is not OK. Maybe I should say”bad”. We booked 1 room with 3 beds for 3 people, due to the booking system could input only 2 names, we have 1 person’s name missing. The 2 ladies in the front desk of the hotel told that we need to pay extra JPN 3900 for the additional bed. Or, we could only have 2 beds for 3 people. I said no, because it’s included in the room charge, we paid already. The ladies have no will to help us to solve the problem, but very interested in charging more. Try to imagine, will 2 people book 3 beds room for 2 beds? why don’t people book a same type standard room to save some money? Please contact with your agent to fix your booking system. Finally a gentleman of the hotel helped to negotiate,and we could live here. The room is really nice and clean. But the service is the worst I’ve ever seen in Japan.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and loved it. The staff was very nice and check in/out was simple. The hotel had a lot of traditional aspects to it and I loved the room. The room was traditional and modern and had all the needed amenities. The hotel is right by the station and a short walk from Nara Park and the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, in the contrary it is in a quiet spot. Close to many sightseeing areas. A good experience in all self-assist service. The dinosaur reception is great!

超級棒的一家酒店，對得住之前做攻略花費的精力時間。地理位置優越，距離近鐵奈良站幾分鐘，可惜從大阪來的時候，從JR奈良站下的，拖着行李箱走了10多分鐘，也正好逛了沒有遊人的街巷，一路拍照一路導航找酒店😅😅 酒店很新，乾淨整潔，前台小姑娘英文不錯，靠近電梯口有洗面奶等小樣，隨意拿，面膜每人一份，在前台領。房間比前一晚的大阪酒店大，至少兩個大箱子可以打開（忘記拍照片）。洗衣房在2樓，衣服少的話500日元帶烘乾，出門溜一圈回來拿衣服，記得換硬幣投幣使用。 斜對面的麪包店不錯，旁邊那家比較大的咖啡不太好喝，靠近商業街，出門吃飯很方便。

Amazing hotel with best location, wonderful service and long history. City center but surrounded by nature, 2 deers walked by restaurant window during breakfast. Will definitely come back!

The historical significance of this venue must be highlighted to illustrate its uniqueness in Nara - We signed up for the complimentary tour of the hotel offered to hotel guests on certain mornings of the week and had the pleasure of having Ms. Sato, the director of marketing, introduce the story of Shisui and its past-life as the residence of the governor of Nara between 1922 to 2017, then as Shisui hotel with guest-rooms designed by renown architect Kengo Kuma. The emperor of Japan had stayed on property in post-war to sign the San Francisco treaty. Sato-san's thorough introduction in fluent-english had me realise a stay at this hotel is a unique experience in the way that it is beyond just luxury. The staff had been wonderful and eager to please without pushiness. It was much appreciated, as it gave room for my wife and I to enjoy each other's company at this perfectly peaceful property. The staff had been amazing from the beginning, at check-in, we had Rika-san, a lady with eyes that can smile, to help us check-in while we rest our feet at the lounge with tea, then guide us to our room while briefing us on all its amenities. The rooms were modern with accents of traditional Japanese designs to remind me of the locations' history. Details like the washroom walls that look like zen-gardens and overall wooden decor made my stay at the room one of the most relaxing experiences ever at any hotel. The French-Japanese wine-paired dinner at Suiyou was also our culinary highlight of our two-week vacation in Japan. In summary, after the two night stay, my wife had requested that we should come back to Shisui in the spring, summer and fall to experience all the seasons at this venue.

We stayed one night in FUFU Nara on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto. We took a special train - Aoniyoshi from Kyoto to Nara and it was very enjoyable ride. We took a taxi from Kintetsu Nara station to the hotel. Hotel staff greeted us right away and kept the our luggage for us until the check-in time. It is located next to Ukimido and we were able to visit Todaiji and the giant Buddha before the check-in. Once we return, we had a nice cold welcome drink. Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. It was obvious that they take a great pride on performing their tasks. Our room was super clean and modern with some Japanese touches. And the hot tub on the balcony was amazing. We contemplated between FUFU and the new Shisui, but we were very glad that we chose FUFU. At FUFU, I believe all rooms are suites and come with the private open air onsen. We did read some reviews on the noise. We did not notice too much especially after dodging so many screaming school children at Todaiji. At night, we had teppan yaki dinner for our anniversary. It was pretty cool to dress in yukata with a hanten jacket. The sandals were comfortable, also. We walked through the bamboo garden to get to the restaurant. Our chef was friendly and food was delicious. With sake pairing, we had a great time. Breakfast was served at the same restaurant, and the walk was beautiful in the morning. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The lady who served us explained each dish very politely. It's hard to believe they are so helpful even without any tips. Staying at FUFU made our stay in Nara very special.
