Hotel berhampiran dreamlandnaxos, Naxos

The Galaxy came to our rescue after an airbnb booking went sideways. We are so grateful that they were able to accommodate us!! First, the reception and all staff are simply lovely - so warm and hospitable! The rooms are lovely - renovated and fully functional. Most views from balconies and terraces provide sea views. Location is fabulous - steps away from the beach and the centre of town. Staying at the galaxy allows 50% off beach sunbed/umbrella rentals. Breakfast included - an excellent buffet of hot and cold items and every style of coffee imaginable. The Galaxy and Naxos resort are owned by the same company so guests can enjoy both - meaning two pools at your convenience. We had a truly amazing experience staying here, truly sad to leave - and highly recommend.

Faultless from check in to check out. I arrived from Athens by plane and got a taxi to Home Sweet Naxos, which was just €20. On arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady on reception who gave me some water and some local Greek sweets. She informed me that the owner had decided to upgrade my apartment of which she guided the way to the room. The apartment was on the second floor (there’s no lift, but my bags weren’t overly heavy so no issue). The apartment was huge, with 2 bedrooms and another room with a sofa bed. Large living area with a massive balcony off it and a further two off the two bedrooms. Breakfast was brought to the room in the mornings at a prearranged time. On the first morning I needed to leave before 8 as I was booked on a boat excursion. Once they knew this they went out of their way to bring me breakfast for 7:20, when breakfast only starts at 8, so that I wouldn’t miss out. Breakfast was plentiful and included breads, cereal, homemade cake, coffee and juice. The day before I was due to check out I asked if it was possible for a late check out as I was catching an afternoon ferry. I wanted ti be able to go to the beach in the morning and to shower before I left. This was no problem at all and I was offered a lift down to the ferry port. I was going to have a bit of a wander beforehand so left my case and would return for it later. The owner arranged to meet me at the port with my case, so that I wouldn’t have to walk back for it. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby and the port and beaches are just a short walk away. I had the most amazing stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or come and stay again. I was show nothing but kindness and generosity. Thank you so much!

nous avions une grande chambre avec vue sur parking et constructions en cours. Nous avons changé mais reçu une toute petite avec peu de rangement possible. 2 chaînes de TV. essuies de piscine ou plage déchirés. Cet hotel aurait besoin d'un rafraîchis*****t. Réception aimable. Par contre au petit déjeuner 4 ou 5 personnes derrière le bar: même pas un ”good morning”! Clientèle américaine, son buffet s'en reflète: industriel, pas de bonne qualité. Un point positif: la très belle piscine. Naxos:la vieille ville: tout est fermé jusqu'au soir, mais à voir en journée les ruelles qui montent au Castro, château qui surplombe la ville avec un très beau bar et terrasse(spécialité de vins) . De l'hotel, tout droit, à 300 mètres magnifiques plages de sables fin avec toutes ses terrasses/restaurants. La première en arrivant : Sport club Naxos ”branché”avec une très bonne nourriture.

Lovely little hotel with fab front desk staff who were multilingual and very helpful and friendly, Good Wi-Fi and reasonable rooms. 5 minute easy walk into town. Nice breakfast choices by the pool. Next door to a supermarket and bus stop to the port.

We stayed in this hotel for ten days and we would never want to go home again! The staff and in particular Vagelis and Maria, apart from being excellent hosts, are lovely people who make you feel welcome. The structure is brand new and well cared for down to the last detail, both externally and in the rooms (the pool is fantastic!). Breakfast is prepared by Maria and every morning they serve dishes with local products and different homemade cakes every day. The property is strategically located as it is a 5-minute walk from the beach of Agia Anna and the various club, restaurants and bus stops, but at the same time it is surrounded by nature and enjoys absolute peace. Room (spotlessly clean, good size, comfy bed, cosy, large balcony, lockable safe), location (a min to Plaka beach and supermarket, also some restaurants and another larger supermarket walking distance, a min to bus stop to Chora via other beaches which was running every 30mins when I was there), kitchenette (sink, fridge, electric hob, kettle and other facilities to cook), lovely breakfast on the balcony €12 (omelette or crepe, bread, Greek yoghurt, homemade jams which were delicious, coffee, juice) well priced and worth the money, a large bottle of drinking water provided, cotton towels were super thick and quality, owner was very friendly and helpful he wrote out a suggested itinerary for my stay. He can help with renting vehicles to travel around the island. I was made to feel welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay here. If I could have, I would have stayed longer! I don't often give such high praise! But I can't fault this place at all! I was even offered a late checkout and a room upgrade. Thank you so much.
