Hotel Miranda

Older meticulously maintained historic property. We had rooms 4-5 because we needed 2 bedrooms. From our common hallway we could see the water. We also had an amazing huge private rooftop patio with both ocean and mountain views. Both bedrooms were very large with comfortable, larger than king size beds. You do have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. The bathrooms are typical Europe tiny but certainly adequate. They do provide soap and shampoo and lotion. Each room had a large TV though you’ll never need them as the entertainment is outside on the island. A hot breakfast is served on a beautiful garden patio. Reception service is friendly and excellent.

The host was very nice. Hotel is in a converted sea captain’s home, so bathroom is a little tight. Some nice antique furnishings make it unique. Breakfast here is awesome, made to order and better than $25 Euro breakfasts we paid for elsewhere. Neighborhood is fabulous, just a couple of blocks from waterfront, and it is just beautiful.

The staff was super helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room that we stayed in was probably my favorite location on the whole island (very calm, very quiet, very peaceful)!

We had a great time here and our room was perfect!!! Highly recommend to others - we hope to come again soon!

Very nice accommodations. It’s an uphill walk from the port and there are some stairs to contend with but I think that is the case just about everywhere in Hydra. Location is convenient though. Breakfast was nice

Beautiful room and quiet location. Excellent breakfast. Amazing view from balcony. Close to restaurants, beaches, walks.

The hotel was so eclectic. Our room had a beautiful terrace which we put to good use. The hotel was a quick easy walk from the port. The breakfast was plentiful and located in a lovely garden area. I highly recommend Miranda Hotel.

It was such a beautiful hotel. Our terrace view was fantastic and it was very conveniently located. It had all the charm of the island.

This is a beautiful old captain’s house with a garden with beautiful flowers and trees where you can sit and relax and where breakfast is served. It is also a 5 minute walk up from the harbor so a very good location. There were two disappointments for me: first, I booked a ‘double/twin room with a balcony sea view’. What I got was a two room suite with two bathrooms. You might think this was good but it was not. The rooms were not half as nice as the true double/twin rooms (I peaked in a room while housekeeping was there) and we only used one of the rooms anyway so having that large a space was not an advantage. Our ‘balcony’ was actually the roof with HVAC units and a satellite dish and was accessible up a narrow spiral staircase with a 2 1/2 - 3 foot trap door at the top that you had to basically crawl through to get through. We had to pass wine bottles through first, and forget coffee. It was a struggle for both of us and we are not even remotely all. Too bad - I had high hopes for this hotel.
