I asked a staff member to call a taxi, and they told me to wait in the lobby. After waiting a while, I asked if the taxi had arrived, and they said it would take another 6 minutes (I later confirmed that the taxi had already arrived). They told me to go back and wait. Then the landline in the lobby rang. Many staff members were coming and going in the lobby, and no staff member was present when the call came in. Since I wasn't a hotel staff member, I didn't answer (assuming it was a staff-only landline). Later, a staff member called my mobile phone, asking if I was inside. I said I had been waiting for the taxi, and they said it had arrived. I went outside the lobby but didn't see the taxi. I asked a staff member where it was, and they said it was at the entrance. I saw a multi-yuan taxi and asked if it was a multi-yuan taxi. Only then did they say yes. When I got in the taxi, the fare started at 120 yuan. I asked the driver, and she said she had been waiting for 20 minutes. She said that because it was a taxi-hailing service partnered with the hotel, 30 yuan was deducted from her earnings per trip, so she didn't earn much. She believed this was due to poor communication and coordination between the staff and the driver/passenger. I saw that the hotel offered a taxi-hailing service, but I didn't expect it to be so absurd.
