Booked for 2 adults and 1 child with agoda. As well as another family with 2 children 2 adults. We have proof of our evoucher descriptions of what we booked. But owner insisted us to pay extra (trying his luck). We felt its unfair. He petty and removed the extra beds as if we owe him. Location is bad especially during rain season. We waited for buses for 30mins and more in heavy rain, no shelter for bus stops. Ended we take taxi up.and down when we travel to jiufen. Walking down the steps is slippery in rain and dark alley especially with luggage. My room has to climb further steps in the house to reach our room. No heater at all. Bed is very hard. Very bad accommodation.

Very good experience for staying

I stayed here because it was featured in a magazine and said to be highly recommended. The room was a Japanese-style room with tatami mats that gave off a Japanese vibe, and the bathroom had a bathtub! Jiufen has many stairs, so you can relax after a long day of walking by soaking in the bath. Breakfast was also Japanese, with hot miso soup, grilled fish, fruit, and everything was delicious. It was raining when I went, but if the weather is good you can apparently see the ocean! As others have written, it may be difficult to get to Jiufen Little Town with luggage..... It's best to take a taxi from the nearby station! (It may be even more difficult if you have heavy luggage!!)

Or call the car to Fukuyama Palace, then go down a few stairs to get there. It was raining heavily and I was so embarrassed to take my luggage. I went to Jiufen Elementary School and called my boss to ask for directions. The boss personally came out to meet me and helped me move my luggage. I'm really grateful. The bathroom faucet was broken, and the boss fixed it immediately. Although the hot water is limited, it is enough to bubble. Both days have freshly cooked Japanese breakfast, facing the mountains and sea, very beautiful. Although there is no refrigerator in the room, there is a shared one outside the room. Anyway, there are only three groups of guests at most, so there is no problem. The only thing is that the mattress is very slippery on the wooden board, and it shifts when I fall asleep ~ it's more unaccustomed.

The owner was very polite and we had a comfortable stay. The town of Jiufen itself has many ups and downs, so it can be difficult to get around with luggage, but being close to tourist spots was very helpful.

The location is about a 5-minute walk up from the central alley. The walking path is also tasteful, and the view from the guesthouse is wonderful. The Japanese-style design was relaxing. There are many Jiufen people, but around 8 p.m. the crowds thin out and you can take a leisurely stroll or have dim sum. However, be careful as some stores close. I left Jiufen Little Town late and went for a stroll. There was no problem with the hot water in the shower. The hot water is made by electricity, so the temperature will drop if you use it for a long time. The room was very clean and nice. I told the guesthouse owner where I wanted to go sightseeing, and he arranged a taxi for me. I am grateful. Two bottles of mineral water are provided free of charge. There is no toothbrush, so you need to bring your own.

If you are Japanese and staying in Jiufen, this is the place to go. It is run by a Japanese person and Japanese is well understood. I also asked them to arrange a taxi to Matsuyama Airport on the way back. The breakfast was delicious. The view is nice, and although it is in a maze-like location, it is actually very close to the downtown area. The downtown area of ​​Jiufen is irritating due to the sewage smell, but this accommodation did not have that worry at all. It was relaxing.
