It's a good price for where th hotel is it's nice and close to everything! But the restaurant inside th hotel has actually shut down and we didn't no this until we actually went to get food which was abit annoying! The staff were ok but not as friendly and nice as other hotels I have been to. I am diabetic and my blood sugar was dropping we tried to ask for help but they weren't to fussed thankfully there was a vending machine

The room was very clean and really great value for money except the fact that there was no heating at night which was a bit off. Overall I would stay at the hotel again because it was a good walk distance from the city center and the night attractions were close by for visiting. Would recommend!

Fantastic stay at this hotel. Arrived at 1.30am with no problems checking in. Thought there would be some issues due to the time I arrived but zero problems at all.
The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from train and bus station so the location is great. The metro is also very close to the hotel.
Breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly.
I would have no hesitation staying at this hotel or recommending it to others.

Good location, about 5 mins walk from train station and near to shops, restaurants. Stayed in a 'basic room.' Room was basic but clean. Shower was fiddly to work with and they had an annoying feature on the shampoo and soap bottles which made getting the liquids.out difficult. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay here again but only if the price was a good offer. Otherwise, would probably stay in a Premier Inn, as it's similar comfort/amenities level.

Hotel is good location for trip to Metro Centre - approx 10 mins walk. Hotel is right next to TGI Fridays, and a wee local restaurant called the Skiff Inn. Would highly recommend the Skiff Inn - food is delicious. Hotel is within walking distance of Asda and Aldi (see photo) and other retainers within the retail park nearby. Staff were very helpful during our stay. Breakfast was good both mornings. Ice machine in lobby is fab if you want drinks/water in your room. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 6 nights and whilst not cheap was excellent value for money. The rooms are large with a massive bed and sofa. Clean ensuite with an excellent shower. Front of house staff were friendly but Steph and Megan were exceptional. As were Ferida and Jimmy in the restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of hot and cold choice. My only observation is that as the hot food is cooked then kept warm at the self-service station, items such as the fried eggs and tomatoes can dry out. However you can request fresh omelette (excellent) or poached eggs (excellent) or fresh mushrooms (excellent) or black pudding (more than excellent!!). We only ate one of our six evening meals in the restaurant as after a four hour drive, it was easier. The food was fine but the service from Josh was fabulous ... a credit to the hotel. My only criticism was when I read my bill having got home, there was an automatic 12.5% service charge for the meal. If you like Indian food I can certainly recommend Jashn restaurant which is only four minutes drive and was one of the best Indian meals I have ever had (I could also recommend Michelangelo for high quality Italian and only 8 minutes from the hotel). We had a fabulous break seeing family and friends and will certainly be back next year and would stay at the Delta again

Travelled as a group of friends for one night stay. Limited free parking but managed to get the last space. Hotel had no lifts and there were a lot of steps to the reception and then rooms were on 2nd floor. Staff did allow us to use a service lift which was helpful. Generally the hotel isn’t great for accessibility if you have mobility issues. Overall the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and staff very welcoming and friendly. En-suite bathrooms modern but other elements in the room were very dated. Mattresses not very comfortable and felt they needed a significant upgrade. For what we paid though and for 1 night it was good value for money. £15 in a taxi to Quayside in the city centre.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Newcastle - Gosforth Park. The location was super convenient, close to Newcastle and easy to get to. The room was clean and comfortable, just what I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. The gym and pool were great perks, too! I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the area, whether for work or just to get away.

PPengguna TetamuThe Copthorne was just about OK. We stayed on a Sunday night when occupancy rates would be low with plenty of availability. Yet we were assigned a 5th floor room close to a metro railway bridge which ran till midnight and was very noisy. The room was cold. Breakfast next morning was plentiful but forgettable. Self service for everything. Not even a pot of tea or toast served to the table. Not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. How are the stars earned/allocated?. I wouldnot be in a hurry to return. It was situated next door to a Travellodge which could have been booked for half the price and who's services I suspect would have been as good if not better.

FFranfromivegillCannot best the location!!!! Trolley push out of the doors and into the hotel ( or vice versa). No worry about taxi or transfer. Restaurant OK but suffers from the same ailment of so many…. Blinking awful coffee!!!! Also those awful mugs …. I have said before….. I have taken to bringing my own decent mug to drink out of.
I ate in the bar last time - similar menu ( same prices) but no booking of a table required. Just got to put up with TV with constant noise or sport……
They let me leave my luggage while I drop off or pick up a hire car…. About 10 minutes walk away.
Always my first choice.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaGreat location, only 4 minutes walk from the train station. The room is large and well-equipped, and the windows are large to see the scenery. The only downside is that the mattress is hard for me and the sheets are not very neat. Also there are no tissues provided in the room. For the price, I think it's great value for money and have nothing to complain about.

PPengguna TetamuWell what a little gem of a Hotel. Beautiful location right next to the Castle and near the Quayside. We had a lovely stay, the Staff were fantastic! So helpful and polite and friendly and very very professional. We felt very special and looked after. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was lovely. We didn't have any meals there except for breakfast which was tasty and there was plenty of options, the Staff in there again were very lovely and attentive. Saying all this a couple of little niggles the Hotel was so hot! To be fair the weather was beautiful when we were there but there is no air conditioning in the building. I do appreciate it is an older building and it's not always possible to install Air Con Units but a few fans scattered around would have made it a bit more bearable in the public areas . There was a fan provided in our bedroom which was very welcome as the sun facing the windows all day ! We also found the bed not very comfortable, the mattress was too hard for our liking but then this may suit other people so it's not a criticism really of the Hotel more our preference to have a softer mattress.
All in all we Would definitely go back to this hotel but I think I would go in the colder months.

Great location hotel for us whilst dropping additional things off to daughter who had recently started at Newcastle University. Friendly check in. Room nice size with White Company toiletries. We had a twin room (son and me). Beds were uncomfortable - felt like we were lying straight on the divan base and room was chilly. No noise (but it was a Monday!). Note the lift was tiny and three people and luggage/shopping overloaded it! Also, the parking at Dean Street was expensive, and payable via app so unclear about charges. The guest book in room does say it’s free between 5pm and 8am but this wasn’t clear at the car park so we paid for the duration of our stay. It’s also quite a hill from parking to hotel (if you struggle with mobility). Would probably stay again if price was right as location good.

PPengguna TetamuStayed in this hotel for a one night business trip stay over. If you’re looking for something with a little character this is a great place to stay . Central Newcastle , right next to the central train station and Metro entrance, a little bit of elegance. A lovely entrance foyer ( decorated with an amazing Christmas tree) with large chandeliers and helpful staff at check in. Finding my room was a bit of an adventure , but part of the charm of a historic building .
My room was clean , quiet , mini fridge , kettle and tea/coffee , tv , surprisingly good bathroom and comfortable bed.
I had a good English breakfast in the morning , and again the staff were lovely.
I thought it was very good value , and I would stay again .

PPengguna TetamuI had an early morning flight and wanted the least worry option for making the flight. I chose the Britannia primarily because of its location but was pleasantly surprised when I checked in. The staff were very helpful and courteous, the prices of food and drink were very reasonable which was another eye opener as I’ve encountered the kind of airport hotel overpricing that normally entails travelling. All in all it was probably the best value for money hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve been all over the world.

The downstairs is a massive loud bar, very popular with young folk. But upstairs, in the hotel rooms, you hear the noise less, and bar closes at 11pm.
Hotel is rather shabby, but rooms are fine and have what you need. There’s a £50 deposit against damage. Staff were brilliant, really nice. Basic breakfast in a bag, as part of price, was unexpected bonus… or you can pay extra for cooked. Not a slap up luxury hotel, but fine for a basic stay over. I’d use it again.

DDarrenStayed for four nights was a nice clean hotel in a good location thr parking was very tight and questionable but the staff had it very well organised. If I'm up that way again I would consider staying here again.
