Cannot best the location!!!! Trolley push out of the doors and into the hotel ( or vice versa). No worry about taxi or transfer. Restaurant OK but suffers from the same ailment of so many…. Blinking awful coffee!!!! Also those awful mugs …. I have said before….. I have taken to bringing my own decent mug to drink out of. I ate in the bar last time - similar menu ( same prices) but no booking of a table required. Just got to put up with TV with constant noise or sport…… They let me leave my luggage while I drop off or pick up a hire car…. About 10 minutes walk away. Always my first choice.

Well situated and easy to get to. Facilities are decent and it is handy if you wish to cook. If you do not wish to cook and to eat out, then there are plenty of places and restaurants. There is parking and it is clean.

Good experience at Sandman Newcastle, location is perfect which is just above the Metro station St James, easy to go around the city, also in a walking distance to the monument easy access to shopping area and many restaurants, staff members are friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant and supermarket in the neighbourhood. The room even equipped with oven and fridge . Recommended strongly

Grainger Hotel is a nice hotel at all. The room is neat and the counter is very helpful. There is a supermarket nearby so that you can get everything you need. It would be a 30-minute walk from station to hotel and you need to walk up some gradient. The streets may be dirty so don't put bags on the ground.

We stayed for one night as we had a very early flight from Newcastle airport. Location is great and lots of local restaurants and amenities close by. A very warm welcome on arrival. Rooms are standard Premier Inn and had no issues with the room itself. Bathroom was tired though. We had a very noisy neighbour upstairs and it was impossible to sleep due to the noise. The girl at reception was very sympathetic but stated they wouldn’t address the issue until after 22:00 due to policy. All in all the stay was fine and would certainly consider staying here again if needed.
