This was a fabulous stay
All Staff are a credit to the hotel, with spacious rooms, cleanliness top notch, everything you could need and require in your room, so many items that you would not even realise you would need was in the room, I liked the fact had a small functioning kitchen with hob and dishwasher, a recliner sofa to watch TV from, even tissue on the coffee table, instructions for the appliciances, cleaning products and safe... When I say they have thought of Everything I meant it! It like home from home.
The Rooms were comfortable, beds were a great size and so comfortable, very clean and fresh linens, big bathroom, good view from the floor we stayed on, breakfast was buffet style but well thought out and food fresh and hot, staff attendance was good ratio and they were attentive and very cheerful and helpful, also parking was a good price as well.
I was also impressed with the fact of small details like a 24hr pantry shop which perfect for family guests, quieter seating/dining area for guests who don't have children, children area, radio on for a cheerful breakfast experience.
Lots of little details and extras is what made our stay a good one, we will definitely use the hotel again, 1 million percent I'd recommend this hotel to others as well, keep doing what you do because your smashing it! And all at a good fair price as well!! A must try!

We are in the IHG club and have therefore stayed at other Indigo hotels. This was our first visit to Newcastle. We got off to a bad start because when I tried to phone the hotel prior to our arrival I was put into an endless loop which didn't get anywhere. I eventually had to contact Indigo Central who had the same problem getting through. Someone from the hotel did then contact me however and apologised that there were issues with the telephone system. Not a good first impression however. The other issue we had was with the room cards which I had to have re-calibrated a total of five times in the two days we were there. We were eventually told that if we kept them in the same pocket as a mobile phone or in its vicinity this would stop the card working. This is not an issue that we recall having had elsewhere. The room was modern and comfortable, as was the bathroom. We found the mattress to be on the hard side. There were plenty of plugs, there was adequate lighting and a room safe. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided as was a fridge with bottled water. We ate in the hotel on our first night and found the food to be very good. We had been confused that within the hotel itself there were signs referring to a Marco Pierre White restaurant, but it turned out that this had closed. The restaurant is now the Grainger. There was a good choice of self-service breakfast, and also a cooked menu. So the positives outweigh the negatives, and we would probably stay here again if we came back to Newcastle.

The location for Hampton by Hilton Newcastle is extremely convenient, just adjacent to the Nexus Central Station. The room are clean and supplied with adequate daily consumables such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, iron, iron board, electric water boiler, coffee, tea, etc. We had requested them to provide one more quilt to us and was attended to timely. Will consider to come again if required. Thanks.

Stayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .

Lovely hotel very close to the train station. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room were very good. All the facilities were clean and of high standard. We didn't have breakfast there so can't commenet on the food.

I stayed here with my wife before a 7am flight to Palma. We were greeted by friendly staff offering us each a warm welcome cookie, which was absolutely delicious. The room we had was spacious and spotlessly clean. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room and a huge TV. We had a view out to the runway from our room, which was nice. There are two breakfasts. 4:30 for people with early flights, consisting of cold items such as meat, cheese, bread, pastries, toast, cereals, fruit, fruit juice, coffee, tea, and yoghurt. The later breakfast at 6:30 is when the hot stuff comes out. We took the early breakfast and it was perfectly fine.

We have stayed at this hotel twice and both times we were greeted by friendly staff both times we had no problems with the rooms food also in restaurant was nice no complaints either all in all our stay was made friendly.

CChanThis hotel is very close to the train station so the guests can just walk across the street to take the train. The hotel room is nice and big and clean. So, it’s very good for the guest who need to take the train in the early morning or late evening. There’re also many restaurants near the hotel. PPengguna TetamuThe hotel’s location is great, which only minute’s walk from central station. The service is fine and the room is big. However, the wall of the room is just like a ‘paper’, we can clearly hear the outside noise. It’s really noisy and the cleaning staff even works from early morning and really disturb us to sleep. Also, they just use the key to open our door without asking or checking if we are still in the room and sleep, which is only 9am. Besides, the bathroom’s water sound is so loud and almost influenced us for a whole night. Overall, it is a not recommended place to live if you want to have a quiet and safe sleeping environment.

QQQ_QQGood location. 8 - 10 mins from train station. Located at city center easy to access anywhere to China town, shopping mall and restaurants. Staff is cool without smile face, quick check in and check out. Room is clear and good size for big luggage. However a bit noisy at the night time because there’s a disco next to the hotel, weekend will be party at the night til late. Overall is good for us and will consider to stay next time.

PPengguna TetamuHotel very good location on the quay side, good selection of foods the décor of the hotel not to my taste dark grey and black room choice best if you can get room facing the quay side only problem I had was wet shaving in the bathroom cannot get close to mirror / poor lighting ( you need to use electric shaver ).

SSemihLocation of the hotel is amazing. Walking distance to city centre. Room was really clean. Only bad point is you can hear street noise. There is a private car park 2 mins away from the hotel. Hotel road is not open to car traffic.

PPengguna TetamuStayed in this hotel for a one night business trip stay over. If you’re looking for something with a little character this is a great place to stay . Central Newcastle , right next to the central train station and Metro entrance, a little bit of elegance. A lovely entrance foyer ( decorated with an amazing Christmas tree) with large chandeliers and helpful staff at check in. Finding my room was a bit of an adventure , but part of the charm of a historic building .
My room was clean , quiet , mini fridge , kettle and tea/coffee , tv , surprisingly good bathroom and comfortable bed.
I had a good English breakfast in the morning , and again the staff were lovely.
I thought it was very good value , and I would stay again .

IIcykeyGood experience at Sandman Newcastle, location is perfect which is just above the Metro station St James, easy to go around the city, also in a walking distance to the monument easy access to shopping area and many restaurants, staff members are friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant and supermarket in the neighbourhood. The room even equipped with oven and fridge . Recommended strongly

Great location hotel for us whilst dropping additional things off to daughter who had recently started at Newcastle University. Friendly check in. Room nice size with White Company toiletries. We had a twin room (son and me). Beds were uncomfortable - felt like we were lying straight on the divan base and room was chilly. No noise (but it was a Monday!). Note the lift was tiny and three people and luggage/shopping overloaded it! Also, the parking at Dean Street was expensive, and payable via app so unclear about charges. The guest book in room does say it’s free between 5pm and 8am but this wasn’t clear at the car park so we paid for the duration of our stay. It’s also quite a hill from parking to hotel (if you struggle with mobility). Would probably stay again if price was right as location good.
