Unbelievable experience! Such a beautiful place with so much history and class! We had an amazing ground floor garden room with a huge bathroom!

Booked a stay at the jockey club rooms and also bought tickets at the races. Parked and left our car at the jockey club rooms car park and caught the shuttle bus to the race course. Returned after our lovely day at the races and checked in. We had a beautiful room overlooking the gardens. The rooms have nice furnishings, very classy. The bathroom was huge. With a large bath with shower and a separate shower and double sinks and huge mirror. Loads of hot water and strong water pressure. Breakfast a very classy affair too. Served in a lovely room. Lots of continental choices and cooked menu. We had yoghurt, fruit compote and granola, juice, toast, pastries, omelette, and smoked haddock. I love the place, its so full of history. I need to go again as i didnt have enough time to take it all in. Can’t wait.

Amazing place to stay right in centre of Newmarket. Very personal service, easy parking and lovely posh place. Breakfast wasn't the best but wouldn't hesitate to stay again

I have stayed here twice now, my first stay , the single room was fantastic, my second stay the room not so luxurious, but the views were better The breakfast was delicious, the service outstanding, staff were polite and very helpful The only downside is that there are is no food service lunchtime or evening time

Booked one night to enable us to go on a 'stable tour' the next mornig - absolutely everything was first class... friendly and helpful staff, lovely room with all that you could possibly want in it and one of the best breakfast choices that we've seen in a long time. Will definitely use again...

From the moment we arrived it was a wonderful experience. Steeped in history but still had a modern luxury feel about the building. Staff super professional and friendly. Probably the best breakfast EVER! Will come again in the summer.

We have stayed here four times. We love it. The staff throughout are very well trained, courteous and polite. I am a racing enthusiast and my husband is an art lover so we are very happy to have found this special place to escape to. We coincided this stay with a trip to The Munnings Museum at Dedham and we had a great week altogether. On this occasion I must praise Tom in particular. He was our barman and his level of service was excellent. We were having a drink in the bar with another couple we had met and Tom offered to give us a tour of the rooms. He was knowledgeable, humorous and we really enjoyed it. Our room was on the first floor and overlooks the gardens and one of the training yards. Such a lovely comfortable, peaceful room with a large bathroom and lovely toiletries. Breakfast in the coffee room is really beautiful made with quality fresh local produce. My favourite dish was the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The little jars of yogurt were also a favourite. We highly recommend a stay here even if you are not into racing.
