It’s expensive for a room that looks tired. Bed was good. Stains on wall and in bathroom. Cold tap was warm. Watch out for the £20 carpark fee for an overnight stay. Should be free if you’re staying there. Bar food at the Merlin was below average. Spa trea**ents were lovely. Pool was ok. Nice short walks around the complex.

Hotel is located very close to motorway junction. Easier for travellers for a nights stay. The hotel also have enough car parking space. Unfortunately the room I stayed had a very bad odour. The shower and toilet were also cramped but I dint mind as I was staying only for a night. Not ideal if you are staying for couple of days and planning to spend most of the day in the room.
