Ngorongoro Lodge Member of Meliá Collection

Ngorongoro Lodge by Melia is one of the best hotels in Safari land of Tanzania. Once you enter their premises one would have a wonderful view of Ngorongoro crater. You can enjoy having your breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the crater. Infact you could have the crater view access from your room too. Friendly staff bring the drinks and food to your table making your eating experience to a different level. Chef Tara Singh prepared veg and non veg dishes to our liking and made us feel we never missed our home food. The chicken curry, vegetable dishes and biryani he prepared for our bush lunch are still fresh in our mouth and memory. Naseem Raja made our stay special by taking care of our needs. Manager Liz and her team added personal touch profusely greeting us everyday. I am already longing when to get back to that property. In all of Tanzanian safaris you fo not want to miss visiting the crater and Melia lodge enhanced the experience multiform.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! The food is outstanding. The staff and management team are incredible and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a truly remarkable experience. Thank you all so much. The view from the dining area and deck Is magnificent. We sincerely hope to return one day soon.

An absolute stunning experience from beginning to end. The hospitality is on par with the rest of the world and food to die for. We could not be more thankful for this amazing once in a life time experience. Special thanks to all the staff that made this stay so amazing!

Absolutely majestic. This hotel is one of the most beautiful I have ever been to. The view over the Ngorongoro crater is emotionally breathtaking. The staff is extremely nice. The rooms are super clean and large. I asked for a beautiful view (as this is really the only element that matters when I travel) and you can see on the photo how just magnificent it was. I would recommend to stay 2 nights in this hotel, to fully enjoy all the amenities. The swimming pool overlooking the crater is heated and open until the sun goes down... A dream. Highly recommend! Recently Remodeled. It was ok. The rooms although small were nicely remodeled. There is no air conditioning so that’s a problem on a hot day. Food was decent in the restaurant. This is an all inclusive hotel given you cannot go out to find restaurants etc. If stair are a problem, this wasn’t the best designed hotel as the elevators are only convenient to one wing of the hotel. Nice view of the crater from atop the hotel. But you don’t only pay for a view. You also pay for service and quality. I think this property was ok. There were a few little things wrong but for the most part ok.

As you walk through the door you get this unbelievable panoramic view of the Ngorongoro crater. The photos do not do the justice! This is a recently renovated property. Rooms are very nice! Management and staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make guests happy. The food is great as well! Also got the best massage - much needed after a long drive on the bumpy roads. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

Few lodge that is situated right in the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and Melia is one of them. Marvelous view and nicely situated property. Big thanks to Mr. Cesar and his team (Jhon and his team, Lisbetty, Chef). Big kudos to Yasinta for a wonderful massage in the Spa. Very sumptous meals, nice and perfect heated pool, comfortable rooms and top Spa with steam and sauna. Congratulations to all!

This is a beautiful hotel in absolutely stunning position overlooking the Ngorongoro crater. The owners have recently spent a lot of money updating the hotel and it really works. The staff were very pleasant and the food was good. The only thing letting it down was the pool area which despite its fabulous view was tiny with only four sun loungers. We felt that the hotel would benefit from a larger area for sun loungers to allow relaxation / recovery after long game drives. Overall a very positive experience.

We had a wonderful time at the lodge and our only regret is we couldn't stay longer! The staff went above and beyond to give us the most extraordinary service and experience! The lodge itself is a jaw-dropping beauty. Our suite with a striking view of Ngorongoro Crater was truly beautiful. It's beyond expression how exceptional all of you have been during our stay. Peter, thank you for mixing the most splendid drinks for my husband, keeping my champagne glass always full, and preparing delicious DAWA every morning. Irene, Veronica, thank you for your wonderful, attentive, and friendly service, a beautiful smile on your face, and all the sweet surprises you threw during our stay from - shocking my husband with his birthday celebration to a lovely, surprise candlelight dinner and everything in between. Lisbetty, thank you for your warm hospitality, lovely conversations, and very professional and friendly approach to making all your guests feel good and comfortable. Alberto, you are one of the best chefs we have ever met. Your food was delightful. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each dish showcased your talent. We appreciate your time and effort to chat with us every day to make sure we are delighted with our dishes and for offering more than the menus. And last but not least: Ignacio, you are an exceptional Manager! You truly know how to make your guests feel Your kindness, positive energy, and friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing attitude are among a long list of many other outstanding qualities you possess. You are a role model! Someone who any of your guests will remember and appreciate. Thank you and your dedicated staff for making our stay in Ngorongoro Lodge so delightful and memorable.
