Hotel Perniagaan di Nice

Our experience with this hotel was unfortunately nothing but disappointing - and 4 days shorter than planned. When we checked in, we were met by a very humble and seemingly concerned receptionist, who was able to tell us that we had been allocated a room in the basement. They apologized, and tried to tell us that they had no other rooms to offer us (without us even asking, which should say something about how bad the staff KNOW these rooms are.) The basement room is small , low under the ceiling, smells of mold, and is FULL of cobwebs on the brick walls. What still worried me most was no possible escape route if the door to the hallway had been blocked. The windows could only be partially opened, and were blocked by bars on the outside. In other words, an extremely claustrophobic room without any kind of daylight, and a lot of noise from the street that we got straight into our ears. It's amazing that this hotel even uses this floor below ground for hotel rooms for paying guests, when it shouldn't be used for anything other than storage. The hotel otherwise looks good enough from the pictures, and the staff are pleasant and humble. In any case, this was an incredibly disappointing start to our honeymoon, but luckily we managed to find an okay Airbnb to stay in for the remaining days.

The location was amazing, right across from the beach. The man helping us with our luggage was so helpful and kind, he definitely helped make our experience here a lot more special. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Europe so far. Overall great and will be back for sure

We intended to only stay here for its proximity to the airport, as we would be taking a flight to Rome the next day. It also was right next door to Nice’s botanical garden and it’s miniscule Asian museum which we could visit right after we checked in. Unfortunately, that one day expanded to seven because we had everything stolen out of our car ( by gypsies, per the Carabinieri) by the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, including my wife’s portable oxygen concentrator, which we were unable to replace in time to get on the plane to Rome ( airlines will not allow you to fly without one after you have had a doctor certify that you need to use it while flying on the plane ). So instead of spending the next 12 days or so seeing Caserta, Naples, Capri and the Amalfi Coast, etc., we spent more than half of that time just trying to still find a place to purchase a replacement concentrator. It did give us more time to see what this hotel was about. We had two somewhat different rooms, as we kept on extending our stay one or two days at a time and eventually had to switch because the room was booked by someone else. Both rooms had an almost college dorm feel, but that wasn’t bad, just a little minimalist. We got a larger room and it was plenty big, which we needed. It was reasonably bright, with big windows. The bed was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom was also fairly big and the shower worked well. The second room was very similar, but a little smaller, yet still perfectly adequate for our needs. The TV was a decent size and quality in both rooms. The hotel was newish and in good shape. The staff was young, competent and professional. Mostly friendly, with one jarring episode that temporarily left a bad taste in our mouths. The next day he was fine. Sometimes, you just catch someone at their worst. The location is great for the airport, less so to see the tourist sites. You can take the tram which stops frequently very close to the hotel is cheap and takes maybe 10 minutes to go downtown. A taxi will cost 12-15 euros. What’s the bottom line? It was a perfectly fine stay. No major defects. Certainly if you need a place a to stay overnight before taking a flight out of the airport, this should suit your needs, particularly the large rooms for families, who might enjoy the breakfast ( we did not indulge – we are cheap ). I would probably stay at the Hotel Cote D’Azur, which was better situated for tourism purposes. Just a quick word about Nice. While Nice has a number of places to see, none are overwhelming, including the very good, but much smaller Chagall museum. In fact, the cathedral, the Matisse museum, and the Musée du Palais Lascaris are actually underwhelming. Yet I highly recommend visiting Nice, as it is one of the most pleasant and relaxing places we have ever visited. The walk along the water and the views from up high are lovely. We had a brilliant stay here, just after New Year. It was comparatively warm weather and we had come down from Paris slowly taking a bit more than a week to reach the Riviera. Nice was still dressed for Christmas and we wanted to be walking distance from the old Town. This is a very nicely done hotel in a heritage building, so the typical tiny old fashioned lift. Big bedrooms and bathrooms, and 2 minutes walk to the central plaza. Parking is in a separate building a block - and 2 minutes - away so convenient enough not to be a problem. Excellent staff, spotlessly clean rooms and crisp linens. A lovely spot place to spend some time.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights prior to joining a cruise from Monaco. We arrived at Nice Airport and used the metro to get into the city. There is a stop very close to the hotel which is very convenient. Our room was ready on arrival and we could use it immediately….excellent! Staff very helpful! The room was on a corner of the third floor with city views. It had two French windows which gave a breeze. The room had a comfortable bed, great bathroom with large shower, good toiletries and plenty of towels… There was a tv, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Reasonable storage…but not really needed for a short stay. Room was compact, but really lovely and quiet. The hotel breakfast was also good. We didn’t have included breakfast but did buy it one morning and enjoyed it. Hotel is well situated …walk to the Promenade des Anglais in one direction and the station in the other. Very easy to get around . Places for breakfast and dinner nearby. Highly recommend the hotel! A very enjoyable stay ….would recommend.

Me and my partner got only a weekend staying. Staff is really lovely, very helpful with everything. But for me the problem was the room- too small and walls were really thin, we had a loud guests in the next room and we could hear everything, that was a bit annoying as we expected for more privacy. The shower was really good though, but there were no toilet fans in the room, so if you had a shower all the room would be humid or with some smell. The breakfast menu was ok, the fruits salad wasn’t good, all the fruits very bitter, couldn’t eat anything. Jelly options were less then expected, but in general it offers different kind of breads and sweets boulangerie. Location is great!

My wife and i stayed at Hotel Monsigny for 2 nights during a recent visit to the Cote d'azur. We chose the hotel due to its good value being so central in Nice with a 5 to 10 min walk to the train station and about 15 to the old town and coast. The tram stops only a couple of hundred metres away also. The hotel's reception is reached through the restaurant along the front and the very friendly staff were always on hand to assist. We received a voucher on arrival for a free cocktail at the lobby bar which was nice along with all details we required for our short stay. I requested a quiet room on booking and we were given a room on the first floor away from the lift/stairs and with a side aspect so we could not hear any outside noise with the window shut. Our room i believe was a disabled access room as there was a sliding door to the huge wet room with a fairly tall toilet with hand bars. Yes you have to be careful with the bathroom floor when there has been a shower but we used the spare towel to dry the floor once showered. The room was fine for our stay with a single wardrobe and free safe and the air conditioning was very good. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We also had a small private terrace/patio which was nice to sit out on for a little while. The only slight down point for the room was that there are no UK TV channels, but wi fi was good and free. We had breakfast at the hotel mainly for convenience and at 14 euros per head wasn't too badly priced. It was a buffet with small pastries hot drink machines and plentiful fruit juices. The usual fruits, yogurt and cold meats along with scrambled eggs, crispy (American style) bacon and small sausages. Finally, the hotel has a roof top cocktail bar with bar menu and hot tub which is open to non residents. It is very popular and the views ,ambiance and music was very nice. We were lucky to grab a table for an hour but i would always book to be sure. The cocktails we had were very nice if a little pricy at 12-14 Euros, not too bad really i suppose due to where we were on a beautiful warm sunny evening in Nice! The only negative to the roof bar is that there is only 1 lift to service the whole hotel including the bar and its very small and old, not good when you are a bit scared of small spaces. Would recommend a stay here for its location, boutique feel but maybe not for longer than a few days due to size of the room and lack of hotel bar aimed more to residents

위치, 시설 전부 만족스러웠습니다. 단지 체크인시에 백인 남자직원이 제가 예약한 스탠다드름은 이슈가 있다면서 정확한 설명없이 호텔 옆 아파트방을 주겠다고 했습니다. 방에 문제가 있으니 더 큰 방을 준다길래 따라가보니 낡고 오래된 냄새나는 방이었습니다. 그래서 따졌더니 현재 수리중인 방이 있는데 기다릴테면 기다리라며 데려가길래 기다리겠다고 했더니 그제서야 제대로 된 방을 찾아서 안내해주었습니다. 와이프와 저 모두 인종차별이라고 느꼈고 체크아웃시에 컴플레인하고 싶었지만 니스에서의 기억도 좋았고 더 이상 말을 섞고싶지 않아서 그만뒀습니다. 오후시간에 근무하는 백인 금발 남자직원은 꼭 본인의 잘못을 깨닫고 피부색은 아무것도 아니라는 것을 알았으면 좋겠네요.
